Great getaway. Cabin was cozy and well equipped. Easy access to major highways.

Short trip to visit Biltmore and this cabin was a perfect location. While an old home we lacked for nothing, and found our stay comfortable and the cabin charming. Loved all the interesting plants surrounding the cabin and the water feature was relaxing!

Perfection

This precious cabin has everything. Comfort, central location, charm. We made the cabin home base as we made day trips to Gatlinburg, Cherokee and of course, Biltmore. We already have plans to return in the spring to enjoy the area as well as this homey place to stay.

Arden stay

We were very disappointed with the musty smell throughout the cabin. There was also mold on the ceiling in the kitchen by the wood stove, noting water leakage at some point. The kitchen was nice but overall, the place seemed outdated and under par for cleanliness.

This house

The property was very dated. Which is okay, but it was not very clean. Dust everywhere. One of the bathroom sinks stopped up the first night. They did however come the next day and fix it. But whoever came left dog hair and poop on the floor we had to clean up. Don't think I will rent again ☹️

A disappointment

My husband and I and some dear friends had booked another place and had decided to extend our stay. That place was already booked for that extension so we landed here. The reviews were good, and the pictures looked charming. I got a little nervous when we turned down the road and at the corner, just a few blocks from the house, was an abandoned building covered in gang graffiti. However, when we pulled in, the cottage was just as adorable as the photos online, so we felt better for a moment. Sadly though, it was mostly downhill from there. We were greeted on the porch by a lot of dust and several cigarette buts in an open container by the front door. Then we entered the house to a very musty smell. There were remnants of a wood fire in the fire place that had not been cleaned, and a thick layer of dust on the tables and dust and grime on the window shades and sills. The dining table still had crumbs and fingerprint from the previous occupants as did the kitchen sink. The grass in the backyard needed mowing. The guest shower looked like it had not been cleaned at all, and the bath mat was very grungy. The bed linins at least ,thankfully, seemed fresh and clean, but the guest bathroom sink and the wall behind it still had the toothpaste spit and spatter of the previous renters. There was no toilet paper in the master bath. But, since it was 4 pm on a Saturday, and going elsewhere would be problematic,we decided to make the best of it. We went to out dinner etc... and came home armed with Febreeze and cleaning supplies. I cleaned the guest bath and got ready to shower, only to discover there was not one single bath towel in the guest bath room, or the cubbard in the hall or the guest bedroom closet. I eventually found one lone towel soaking wet still in the washing machine with a set of sheets. I moved these to the dryer, but as it was late we ended up just using a couple of hand towels to dry off with, and going home the next day, a whole day early. It would have been fine if it had just been properly cleaned. What a bummer, adorable place with lovely trees and lots of potential, but very very dirty. We visit Asheville often, but sadly this one is off my list for future visits.

Listing

Listing said a wood burning fireplace. That is why I booked it. We took wood but only gas logs. The yard needs a lot of work. A little glum but we still had a nice time.

great place to stay when visiting Asheville

The cabin was perfect. It was much larger than we were expecting. It was nicely set up for a pleasant stay. Was very clean and the decor had a nice vibe. Not your usual log cabin feel more like a cozy cottage in a beautiful English garden. I couldn't stop taking photos of the beautiful garden. It was close to everything but the setting was quiet and serene. I just wish we'd had more time to actually spend in the property but we had a short stay.but I'd say it was perfect. We would definitely recommend this rental!

Get away

Great place for a little get away. It was myself, husband and my sister. There was enough space to not feel as if crowded. We enjoyed the screened in porch at night and I had my coffee in the morning. Nice to listen to nature....and was surprised to hear a rooster! Everything about our stay ran smoothly except the property had some maintenance scheduled at a very early time in the morning for people on vacation. The owner has thought to have a lot of items in case you forgot to pack them. Cute cabin.

Great Moutain Cottage Close to Everything!!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The house was very cozy and well decorated. The linens smelled clean and the had enough towels for everyone to use. They even had a piano which none of us knew how to play. Would recommend staying there again.

Cozy Stay!

My family and I enjoy our stay at this rustic yet clean and cozy cabin. My kids and I loved the unique decor and charm. The owner has thought of everything and even has helpful notes throughout the cabin. She was professional, polite and responded to questions quickly. Everything was clean, and the beds are nice. We loved the lush greenery and flowers around the property. It's so peaceful to sit outside at night and enjoy the sounds of nature. The cabin is nicely tucked away, but close many restaurants and attractions. We look forward to staying again!

Arden, NC cabin

The cabin and grounds were charming. The owner was easy to communicate with. The cabin was well located for day trips to Ashville, Hendersonville, Franklin and Bryson City to name just a few places.

Cabin with lots of charm!

We loved the character and history of this vintage cabin. Location was great fun enjoying Asheville, Hendersonville, Pisgah National Forest, and DuPont State Forest. Our only complaint is that it could have been cleaner. Regardless, thanks for letting us enjoy your “funky” cabin.

Linens were old and dirty

There was bugs or trash on the sheets and the sheets were old. We did not feel comfortable sleeping on them so we washed them before we slept on them. The coffee maker was old and had to had a good washing before we used it. Overall the cabin needed to be updated but for the price it was sufficient.

Just What We Wanted

A wonderfully comfortable, cozy cabin. It is obvious the owner is updating and maintaining the cabin. We used the fireplace every night and it added a wonderful touch. If you don’t want drip coffee, be sure to bring your own coffee maker. Kitchen worked well. We definitely plan to return next year!
