So Relaxing

We had such an amazing stay really enjoying the ocean views and having the most relaxing Christmas. The home was clean and welcoming, the 3 bedrooms were perfect for our family. The outdoor shower is awesome, you can stare at the stars and take in the quiet. The kitchen was well supplied and easy to prep meals. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definite recommendation for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing vacation, close to everything but far enough from the hub bub. 5 Stars!!

This property is a home away from home with everything you need for a fantastic stay! You cannot help but feel relaxed and enjoy everything Hawaii has to offer. Definitely would book again!

Spacious country home

A great family sized house with plenty of supplies, big kitchen, lots of beds and a beautiful ocean view. Just minutes from Beach 69, which is a MUST! Wonderful!

Nice house with ocean view

We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a place near Hapuna Beach that wasn’t a resort so this home worked very well. Very clean and had everything we needed for the six of us. Kitchen well equipped. There is a half bath off the lanai so there are really the equivalent of two full baths if you include the outdoor shower which we had to fight for! The outdoor shower was amazing particularly at sunset or at night under the stars. The view is great, but you do need to be prepared for road noise when outside. We also discovered Spencer Beach just a few minutes away which is a lovely beach and park.

Amazingly beautiful!

This property was centrally located to everywhere we needed to be and where we wanted to go. 100% better than a condo. Enough parking and space in the unit to house my entire Ohana. We loved our stay and hope we’re welcomed back the next time we come back. I can’t say how wonderful this stay was. The ease of getting into the house as well as finding its location was terrific. If anyone is looking for an amazing place to stay i would 100% recommend this location. Again thank you so much for showing us to use your Hale and hope to be able to use it again. The Johnson/Kainoa Ohana.

This is a very comfortable house

We stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed every bit this house had to offer. To me this house (and this island) is more of a retreat, somewhere you can finally calm, reflect, and figure something out. We would come back for a longer-term stay if such a package exists. Again this is a very comfortable house, one reason we would come back to big island and just reset.

Comfortable and quiet.

The home we stood in was very comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was as advertised with a few extra perks, supplies such as coffee beans and coffee grinder and plenty of laundry detergent. The house was clean and had plenty of space. There was a fantastic view of the ocean, which was our favorite part of the house. After being busy with activities all day, it was nice to come back to relax. We were very happy and would rent this home again when coming back to the big island of Hawaii.

Great View

This house was the perfect home base for us as we explored the northern part of the island. It's central location was key to us getting a quick start on our day while also giving us a quiet place to relax and recharge in the evenings. The night sky is spectacular and the outdoor shower is a superb start to your day!

Perfect location on Kohala Coast

The location 1/2 mile from and overlooking the Pacific was perfect for visiting all sites, swimming snorkeling and fishing. Very quiet neighborhood. Everything you need is already here. Just rent the house and enjoy the Big Island.

Great location in Kawaihae Village

Great location in a small residential area just above Kawaihae, close to all of the north Kohala beaches and 15 minutes from the Mauna Lani and Waikoloa resort areas. The house was very comfortable. It's just above a busy highway, but with the windows closed it was peaceful and quiet. We were in Hawaii in the middle of extremely hot weather at the end of August, and were so grateful to move to Arieh's place after initially staying in a rental with no AC. The AC here worked beautifully and we were finally able to sleep. The view is fantastic, and the place is sparkling clean.

Perfect for us

We just spent a week exploring the big island and this was the perfect spot for us. The property is well equipped for those looking to get away from the large resorts and crowded beaches. You can sit out in the backyard and watch the sunset or take a short drive to one of the many beaches on the Kohala coast. We LOVED the outdoor shower and access to beach and snorkeling gear. While the address is "Waimea" it is MUCH closer to Kawaihae and the ocean.

Location + Value= Great place for our family

We loved the convenience and comfort of this house. Bedrooms have their own air conditioners and stay very cool and quiet. It is just a short drive to all of the best beaches and halfway between the activities we had planned. Lots of beach toys, umbrella, chairs, and coolers provided, and a cart to haul it all to the beach, which was wonderful. We loved gathering on the lanai to play cards, eat together, and look at the ocean view. The only downside we found was that it wasn't really feasible for anyone to sleep on the bed in the lanai. We loved everything else about this house, especially the outdoor shower! The outdoor shower was our favorite thing to come home to:) Our activity highlights included: Kohala Zipline--Incredible and highly recommended! Favorite Beaches--Mauna Kea, Hapuna, Kua Bay Hike to Pololu Valley Beach (Black Sand Beach)--hike up next ridge to the bench! Hawi Saturday morning farmer's market early morning kayaking and snorkeling at Captain Cook monument
