Charming second floor apartment in historic neighborhood

My spouse and college-aged daughter and I enjoyed spring break here. It was close to Buffalo Bayou for walks along the water, and an easy walk to POST, not far from downtown. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. One must walk through the smaller bedroom to get to the larger bedroom, but that worked fine for us. There were no windows in the bedrooms, which felt unusual, but we didn't need sleep masks! Heating/AC worked great. Host was very responsive and informative.

As a local Houstonian native, that moved away for 20 years to live in NYC, Chicago and Austin, it's great to be back to share why we love Houston with our guest.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location! With view of downtown, being in one of the best walkable neighborhood, and downtown offering, the house is also our vacation home when it isn't booked!

What makes this property unique

The house was built in 1888 and is located in old 6th Ward. It is one of the earliest and largest Houston homes.
