With easy access to everything in Tucson via the Loop bike trail, Tucson's free public transportation, or your own vehicle, the casita is waiting for you to call it home during your stay.
This space was one of two bedrooms in the original house, and has since been converted into a private casita, just for you.
Follow the gravel and stepping stone path to your modest private patio and entrance. Say hello to my curious and friendly cats, and hummingbirds who might join in on welcoming you to Tucson.
Inside the studio space, you’ll be greeted by cheery light from the full windows, original oil paintings by Sybil Williams (local artist and Kandra’s grandmother) a comfy chair for reading or enjoying a show, and of course a comfortable bed for a good nights rest.
You can log into your personal streaming services to enjoy your favorite shows on the smart TV (no cable service or antenna provided). Or, buckle down and get to work with the speedy internet and dedicated work space.
The kitchenette includes a 10cu ft refrigerator with freezer, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, and basic set of utensils with pots and pans.
I reside in the main house and work in the converted garage. If you need anything during your stay I’m just a message away, and we might see each other when I’m headed out on my bike for errands (or just for fun).
The casita shares a wall with the main house, so we will be sharing some sounds much like apartment dwellers hear their neighbors at times. If you are a nurse working night shifts, or have specific quiet hour needs, please let me know.
In the guest binder you’ll also find more information about the space; along with manuals for the TV, etc.
Suitable for 1 guest. Not suitable for infants or small children.
///Guest access///
The 320sq ft studio casita includes a small shaded patio, off-street parking, and a basic kitchenette setup.
Laundry is available via a third party service or the neighborhood laundry-mat.
Off street parking is available on the gravel area at the front of the home. Please note parking directions that are sent in your welcome letter when you arrive.
Access to The Loop for biking, walking, and city hiking is two streets away (roughly 3 minutes on a bike).
///Other things to note///
The casita is part of the main house HVAC system. I keep the temperature around 74F in the summer and 67F in the winter. The room includes a space heater and cooling fan to supplement the temperature to your liking.
Bringing your pet for your stay?
Please note:
Only one pet allowed per stay. The space simply isn’t large enough for multiple animals.
I have two cats, one of which is very curious and friendly. He'll probably stop by to say hello at least once during your stay. Please mind your pets to avoid any unwanted pet encounters.
If your pet causes any damage or additional cleaning services from your stay, you will be responsible for those expenses.
You will also need to walk your pet and attend to their potty needs asap. Potty pads are not permitted. Please clean up all defecation immediately, bagged and disposed of in the garbage bin located on the north side of the driveway. Please bring your own bags.
Your pet will also need to adhere to the quiet time hours of 9pm to 7am.
Linens and consumables: The casita comes with a full set of clean bath towels, wash cloths and hand towels, 2 rolls of TP, kitchen towels, clean and comfy bedding, dish soap, and a bar of handmade body soap. I do not replenish these items during your stay. All linens (towels, bedding etc.) are property of the casita and should not be taken home with you.
