The Burns Square Historic Hotel building was built in the 1950's and has clean character and ambiance. It is attached to the Historic Herald Square building that was built as the southern gateway into the downtown from the wealthy neighborhoods. Walking distance to Whole Foods/Publix, fabulous restaurants, diverse shopping options, performance theaters, movie theaters, nightlife, public transport, boat/water activity rentals, parks, spas, and a short distance to the beach or airport. You’ll love my place. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. I have lots of regulars who come back time and time again.
The unit is decorated beautifully with great attention to detail. It is clean and feels like home with amenities needed to stay a night, week or month. The bed is a queen size adjustable bed. There is a queen fold out sofa bed too. The kitchen has all you need to cook with a dining table for 4 or there are great restaurants close by. The location is in the southern area of downtown, safe and secure, nestled between high-end historic neighborhoods Laurel Park, Palm Avenue and Hudson Bayou. Great restaurants, shopping, spas, theaters, convenience market all in neighborhood and just blocks away from Bayfront Marina, boating, parks, performance theaters, comedy club, Main Street and other amenities such as transportation, government and super markets.
When you arrive we will meet you to let you into the building, show you your room and provide keys to you. The exterior doors are always locked so you will need to get a key to access the interior hall. On occasion we will leave your keys with the restaurant or someplace should you arrive late or at a time we are out.
This is the nicest and safest mixed-use neighborhood in the city, historic buildings, south of Main Street and nestled between historic high-end Laurel Park neighborhood, Palm Avenue and Hudson Bayou with unique shops, restaurants, spas, convenience market, independent movie theater or Hollywood 20, Opera, Comedy Club just five blocks away, close to Whole Foods or Publix food shopping. Close to beautiful walking routes, library, parks, botanical gardens, and transportation to both Siesta Key or Lido Key beaches.
