My family of four had a great time. The yard was phenomenal. The house was so comfortable and we all slept great!! Location was absolutely wonderful too!
I needed a house with comfortable beds and I couldn’t have for more from the house. Minutes from everything but private. Nice outdoor seating area. I will stay here again!
This house is very close to everything we wanted to do- Sight and Sound, Strasburg Railroad, Outlet Mall and great restaurants. We love Agape Cafe. When we arrived, we realized our coffee pot was not working. After sending a message, the host responded very quickly and provided a new coffee pot for us within hours. We were very appreciative for the fast response and for buying a new coffee maker. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a host responding so quickly and resolving the problem . The only issue that would make our experience a little better would be if there were a few more items provided. Like salt ( pepper was there), plastic wrap, aluminum foil, ziplock bags, etc. Also a few more drinking (4) and wine glasses ( only 2). We all thought the beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. We were celebrating my birthday and we had a wonderful time. We’ve only been to Sight and Sound two times, but will definitely stay here again when we return. Thank you so much!
We enjoyed our stay here. It is conveniently located close to everything we wanted to do, and the neighborhood was nice. The road was busier than some others, but still quiet enough to be peaceful. Cute and clean, and plenty of space for our family of four. Very comfortable beds, would stay here again!
We were so happy with the quiet but cozy cottage. Just the perfect size for the four of us.
Closer to town while still enjoying the country.
We will defiantly stay again
My daughter, niece and I stayed for a birthday celebration. The house was charming and just as the photos showed. While it was a quick overnight the stay was everything we expected. Great location, clean and nicely decorated.
My sisters and I enjoyed our time in Pennsylvania. The Sycamore Cottage was beautiful. It was the most relaxing weekend. We enjoyed shopping and just being together.
This property is perfect if you are attending an event at Lancaster Host very close. House is clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch at the picnic table. Tip if you are out at night leave the porch lights on it helps you to find the house coming home in the dark.
My family and I stayed for a long weekend because my daughter had an event nearby. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked with the necessities. However, the house does not have a dishwasher so I would recommend bringing paper products if you don't want to do dishes.
We visit Lancaster County frequently and have stated many homes and hotels. The location of this home is ideal, close to Lancaster city, show venues, even Ephrata and Lititz are within 20 to 30 minutes. Yet it is a very quiet neighborhood with a large farm across the street. The street is not highly traveled, but it also does not have the Amish horse and buggy traffic either. Not really a negative, just to be aware of that. The home itself has very nice amenities, including a king bed we prefer. The carport has been turned into a nice sitting area with a picnic table overlooking extremely large backyard which ends in a small stream. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We were in town for a pre-Christmas holiday, and the Bungalow is situated on a quiet country road that is near to the American Music Theater, Sight and Sound Theater, and Downtown Lancaster. The Bungalow is a tastefully decorated and very nice size for a couple or family of 4.
It is drafty in the winter and difficult to keep comfortably warm despite raising the thermostat temperature. It had a couple of maintenance issues such as the water lines to the washer were reversed, and the bathroom sink did not hold water. The ice maker (listed in amenities) is not connected to a water line and the one plastic ice cube tray we found in the freezer was broken and unusable.
Compared to other Vrbo rentals we have stayed at over the last decade, this bungalow lacks a few basic amenities such as tissues, hand soap pump dispenser at kitchen/bathroom sink, and aluminum foil/saran wrap
The house was perfect for our Christmas shopping girls getaway weekend. Perfectly located between downtown Lancaster and the outlets. We arrived in the dark but the house numbers are clearly marked and the owners had left the outside lights inside and outside. The house looked exactly like the pictures on the website and had everything we needed. We are hoping to stay here next year for your annual trip.
We enjoyed our stay and appreciated that it was very near sights we wanted to see yet in a quiet country-like location. The house was drafty and hard to warm up on a very cold day with cold tile floors. The kitchen dishes, pans, and other items were pretty sparse. It would've been nice to have some coffee, tea, oil, and a few basic spices. I was surprised that we had to strip the beds and take out our own trash. I've stayed in many Vrbo homes and not been asked to do that before. Overall it's a nice place to stay.
