The property is very nice and in a very good area of town. No issues there. When we arrived at 5pm for our 4pm check in, the keys were not available, where they said they were supposed to be. We called the person in charge of the unit, and they said they would meet us there, and let us in. She called us back and said the place was not cleaned, and not ready for us to come up. (because she had 5 folks check out that day, and they must have forgot. She suggested going to eat and she would take care of the bill. We went to eat, came back, and everything was clean and all keys and openers were in the apartment. We feel that "reimbursement for a meal" was not the proper way to handle this. Otherwise, the stay was great, and we enjoyed our time here.
We loved staying here! The check-in instructions and pictorial provided were very helpful and we wanted for nothing during our stay. The bed and pillows were terrific, bathroom was huge and shower worked great, kitchen had all the tools necessary, the keurig 2.0 was appreciated, and we were so happy to have stayed here! Would love to come back and stay, I can’t recommend this highly enough. We’ve stayed at plenty of Vrbos and this is right up at the top on great stays.
This was a great place to stay! Loved that we had covered parking as well! Conveniently located near lots of entertainment! We will definitely be back!
This is one of our top two short term rentals. Lovely location, apartment and area are very safe. Clean as it could be. The king bed was very comfortable. Nighttime lighting was adequate to read by. We had a great stay here and visited restaurants, museum, Christmas program, met friends for dinner and breakfast on Sunday morning.
This VRBO is in a historic building in the heart of OKC. The space was spotless, the building well maintained and secure. The parking is next door and covered. I'm not sure who decorated the apartment, but it is lovely. The location is one of the best parts...one block from the trolley that takes you to Bricktown for restaurants, bars and shows, 2 blocks from a half dozen restaurants on N. Walker and N. Dewey. One day we walked 1 block North to explore the historic neighborhood of Heritage Hills. If you enjoy architecture, this is a must see. We would gladly stay here again. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
The apartment was prime location to visit OKC. We didn't use our vehicle at all during our stay, streetcar next block over and plenty of food options a block away. The memorial museum was worth the visit.
Great location, blocks away from the best breweries in OK (Prairie, Elk Valley, Twisted Spike, Stonecloud). Perfect size place for a couple to spend a week in OKC.
Property fit by needs perfectly. This was my second stay in Okc using this owner and both stays went perfectly. I will be staying here again if a available.
Comfortable, convenient, extremely clean and well-appointed. Wonderful location in midtown close to many great shops and restaurants.

Lovely deco space close to everything
This was a terrific place to stay in OKC. It is a beautiful one bedroom, with the best equipped kitchen I have found in a rental space. Bed was good, light was gorgeous and it was easy to navigate around the city. The lobby is fun to hang out in and I enjoyed curling up on the cozy couches down there. We really appreciated the pictures to help with check in-- it was a bit confusing at first, but we were able to sort it out. Perhaps let new renters know that there are 2 parking lots and that we need to go to the lot off the side of the building NOT the one in back. We had trouble with our wifi connection when we first arrived and this caused a bit of a hassle with work/school deadlines, but Michale got right on it and had Al come over to fix it -- he was super helpful and all went well following that. And an extra blanket in the apartment would have been appreciated, as we were there during a cold spell. Thanks for a nice stay.

Great getaway spot!
My wife and I were very impressed and pleased with the property and we had a wonderful time. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we would recommend this place to anyone looking to be close to downtown OKC. We liked the security of the parking lot and the building as well. We will definitely be back.

About the host
Hosted by Michale Stapleton
I am an interior designer and work with an urban re development group . We have re purposed, re imagined several historic properties as well as new infill construction in OKC's downtown area. We have contributed to rebuilding the inner core of Oklahoma City and it is emerging as a thriving and energetic environment.
We are open & friendly people, who in turn expect to host friendly and honest people. We love our rescue cats and dogs like the family they are to us. We consider ourselves good company, good humor, open-minded, collaborative and hopefully useful when giving directions to the city so that you feel comfortable and safe in Oklahoma City.
Don't hesitate to ask me any questions you may have and I hope to see you soon!

Why they chose this property
This building had been vacant and abandoned for over 25 years when we bought this building at a sheriff sale in 1997. Midtown was a blighted desolate area of Oklahoma City and all the bankers had red lined the area for investment. It took many years to put together financing and the Historic tax credits were of major benefit to restoring this beautiful building. It reopened in 2007 and was a major kickstarter to the vitality and investment of the Midtown Renaissance.
What makes this property unique
Vintage quiet surroundings, restaurants , bars, galleries and shopping are a block away. Thunder games, Bricktown and Riversports are a 5 to 8 minute Uber or Lyft ride, generally 5 to 7 dollars.
