Beach house for 12 for a week

Great location easy to get to a beautiful beach that is not overcrowded. The house was a great fit for sleeping. Probably could use more dishes for 12 people. House had some wear and tear but nothing major.

The house was beautiful! Some of the rugs within the home are a little slippery and can make you fall. The bathtubs also were beautiful but it seemed as though none had used them in a while. The property is in great shape! The amenities were nice however the pool was green for a portion of our stay. Most of the chairs are broken at the pool and none actually picks up after themselves, there were no bags for corn hole. But overall would stay again! The amenities are not taken care of by the property manager so not really their fault.

ABOVE THE WAVES

The property was very good. There was some Internet problems, but the service came out with Gulf2beach maintenance person, who was great, they were able to get it fixed until they could come out with other tech. We were not that far from the beach, just across the street from the beach and had to walk about a block to the access to the beach. What was great was the two pools and tennis courts and also the club house. Would definitely book in the same area again. Gulf2beach personnel were great working with them throughout booking, paperwork, and information.

Needs Some TLC

The configuration of the unit was good but it was a bit run down. We were not told that there would be construction going on each day right next door about 20 feet from us, so it was noisy. We don't plan on renting this unit again.

Garrison October Family Beach Vacation 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great, very roomy and accommodating for our family of eight. The house was great, lots of room, kitchen was stocked well. Short walk to the beach. Great views, especially from second floor deck. Lots of amenities. We will be back. We appreciated the updates and the contacts to make sure all was well with the house. Well pleased with Gulf 2 beach and Above the Waves.

A little disappointed

We stayed at this property four years ago and we did not have any issues. Loved it! We decided to stay here again because it is close to beach access, the pool and the layout of the house fits our needs perfectly. However, the house has really showed it's age and we thought they had made updates. I think the only think updated was the exterior paint color. Master shower on main floor has mold. Dirt, food and a water bottle were found under beds and living room furniture. Dirty dishes were found in the kitchen cabinets. I'm assuming the dishwasher didn't work properly so we never used it. Upper master shower was never cleaned. It was covered in hair and dirt. The vanity was never cleaned. It still had toothpaste on it. Upper King bedroom with tub/shower also has mold. The kitchen was well equipped. Internet was spotty. Plenty of linens. The refrigerator does need to be adjusted. The door doesn't seal properly. Once this is fixed, it should alleviate the 24 hour time required to come to cold temp. The ice machine would also work better if it wasn't in the same room as the washer/dryer. Way too hot in that room. The main level never got to the thermostat temp setting. Very warm even though the upper level was very cold. All in all, if the house was properly cleaned, we could have lived with the other issues. We most likely will not return.

Perfect Friend/ Family Place

We had a few families and it was perfect. Enough room to spread out but not miss anything. The kitchen was large and well equipped. We cooked every night and can't think of a single thing we needed and didn't have. The huge porches were perfect for watching the thunderstorms. We loved the proximity to the pool and beach access. Also loved all the space under the house to wash off and store our beach stuff. Overall was a great place and would definitely recommend to a friend or book a repeat stay.

Nice property, but needs some TLC

Overall a nice house and a great location. Very comfortable with large bedrooms and attached bathrooms. It is a short walk to the beach or pool, neither of which were very crowded. However, House needs some TLC. Kitchen countertop is cracked in several places and backsplash is peeling away from the wall. Refrigerator is too small for a large group. Downstairs A/C really doesn’t keep it cool in the evenings. Had an issue it’s ants, but the property manager responded quickly. Overall and great property, just needs to be “refreshed”.

Wonderful Family Getaway!

We loved the 4 large bedrooms at the beach house. It was also nice having an extra bathroom outside of the kitchen along with an ice machine. We brought our family of 10, ages 1 to 65 and we never felt crowded. The beach and pools are just steps away from the house. The counter tops in the kitchen were cracked and not in the best shape but this did not effect our stay at all. Overall we loved the house and location and will definitely visit again.

Clean but no.. Water pressure

We had issues all week with water pressure on this property, mostly in places it was needed most, the Kitchen sink!? showers were no better than the best motel shower. Other than that, the property was clean, roomy, and close to the beach and pool.

Family Gathering!

Amazing Family Vacation Rental

The beach house was beautiful and immaculate, well stocked kitchen, huge bedrooms , gulf views and more. The rental staff provided clear communications, were extra nice and accommodating and quick to responds. Best rental ever!

Excellent place for an excellent getaway!

We had a great time at this location. We had 12 people (8 kids: ages ran the gamut from a few months to 15 years). Everyone fit comfortably. The house is great and perfect for housing and feeding a big group. Beach access is super easy, just a few hundred feet away. The beach has great sand and was never crowded. This was our second time spending spring break in Gulf Shores, and I’m certain we’ll be back for more.

Beautiful Southern Home

Stunning home a small walk to beach. Unfortunately, spent 4 days washing bedding, throw pillows, dishes, and requested carpet and furniture cleaning as it was very stained by guests and free running dogs. Mgmt sent cleaner, carpet cleaned and small discount received. Much furniture inside and out, pots and pans, cracked kitchen counters need replaced. All hard surfaces were clean except downstairs toilet. The home is ideal for entertaining and large family. Everyone has a bathroom and space to enjoy. Upstairs suite and balcony with 2 good chairs give you best view and experience of the gulf from home. Spotted dolphins several times and enjoyed sunrises and sunsets often. A lovely home that needs some tlc and respectful renters. We loved being here once cleaned. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily walks on the beach and in the neighborhood. Also enjoyed cornhole, basketball and ping pong at clubhouse. Loved the cheerful bedspreads and coastal decor in some of the rooms. Great washer and dryer, internet, cable/dish, heating/cooling Nest unit, layout, dishwasher, showers, etc. Our stay was 6 weeks. Very thankful for this time near the gulf, only 25 minutes from multiple stores, restaurants and activities. Fort Morgan is a wonderful escape!
