Great location and spacious one bedroom
It is a beautiful property with Parisian charm, just as pictured. It is very spacious with a large master bedroom and soaking tub. The building is old which is part of the charm as you are part of 'real paris' and on the left bank, only a block from the seine river and a quick walk to a great bakery, cafes, bars (but quiet ones). Though some reviews have indicated it can sleep more than 2, note that it is for only 2 people. We read reviews where more than 2 were noted and traveling as a couple, my dad decided join us for part of the time and could not stay with us. Again, the VRBO listing clearly says only 2 so don't be swayed by other reviews. You will love staying here if you want to be close to the bank and in the great arrondissement of St. Germain.

At home in Paris
From perfect location (central, quiet, safe and surrounded by beauty) to exquisite comfort (lots of space, high ceilings, functional kitchen and bathrooms) to outstanding decor (in elevated French style as befits the location) to thoughtful touches (magnifying makeup mirror, umbrellas, fans, ample waste containers), this property is best in class. The owner is incredibly helpful and proactive, offering excellent advice, ensuring smooth service and limiting gaffes from arrival through departure. The attention to detail shows and works to enable an experience of home that is unusual in a rental property.

This is the second time I have stayed in this apartment and I can not recommend it highly enough. It’s in the perfect location to explore Paris and the apartment itself is wonderful. Quiet, clean and has all the amenities that one would need. The building is very secure and the owner is super responsive. Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful apartment with all the amenities and plenty of space. Literally down the street from Musee D’Orsay and a block from the Seine. In Saint Germain neighborhood which is perfect location for exploring Paris - within walking distance to all major museums and full of great stores and restaurants. Comfortable apartment in the heart of Paris
My husband, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Catherine’s apartment for 8 nights over New Year’s. Great size for 3 people (4 would fit comfortably, too). The rooms were spacious for relaxing and 3 bathrooms were a plus. The kitchen was quaint and contained all the necessities for a long stay. The location was ideal for walking to many of the major sites in Paris. Lots of shops for specialty foods and great restaurant options within blocks of the apartment. We would definitely stay again.

Exactly as advertised !
We spent a month in this beautiful, spacious apartment. Having 2+ bathrooms was great. We were able to have our meals in the kitchen or at the living room/salon table. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The neighborhood is lovely, with easy access to cafes, several restaurants, pharmacies, bakeries, bus stops and more. We also really appreciated the weekly housekeeping. Communication with the owner Catherine was easy as she was always responsive to our inquiries. We had a wonderful stay !

Paris Apartment
The apartment felt very French with it’s high ceilings, crown moulding and beautiful French oak herringbone floors! It was very spacious and comfortable for our 2 week stay in Paris. My adult daughter came for the weekend and with the second bathroom and sofa bed, she was very comfortable. The location was excellent, in the 7th Arrondissement, the Saint-Thomas-d’Aquin neighborhood, on the border of the Saint-Germain neighborhood, a block from the Seine and just across the river from the Louvre. There were lots of good restaurants nearby, as well as specialty shops to buy everything we could want to dine in! The host and manager were most helpful and extremely receptive to all our questions and needs. We did feel that the lighting was low throughout the apartment, including the kitchen. For anyone serious about cooking, the kitchen was well equipped but to our disappointment we were not able to get the grill to work (even after consulting the manual), the pilot light would not come on and no indication that it had ever been used. Otherwise a lovely experience.

Paris rental perfection
This rental was truly extraordinary. The location is unbelievably perfect - you can easily walk to most of the key sites in Paris - all within 5-10 minutes. Metro and bus access is very easy. Shops, boulangeries, and markets are also within a short walk in what is arguably the best neighborhood in Paris. We have rented places in Paris before, and I truly do not know that you could find a better rental in Paris. The apartment is very well appointed, very quiet, great kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms is really great. We were a family of 4 for two weeks- with 2 teens and there was plenty of room for all. It occupies a full floor in an 18th-century building around a garden courtyard. Catherine is very attentive and on top of every detail and her housekeeper is wonderful. I wish we could have stayed for several months.

This apartment cannot be bettered
This was our third stay in the apartment, and that itself is a statement about the apartment and its comfort, understated elegance, and location. Kept immaculately clean by a delightful housekeeper, with an owner who pays attention to the finest details and is always responsive to questions and requests, one can find no better home from home in Paris. Turn left as you leave the building and in five minutes you're at Eric Keyser for your croissants, sandwiches, bread. Cross the street for the finest cheeses (with recommended wine complements) at Androuet, then take a few steps towards home and stop at Maison Guyard (under-described as a Deli) and cross the street for fruit and vegetables at Au Verger d'Alice...and you have lunch or a light dinner. Of course add another five minutes to your walk and you're at the Musée d'Orsay, or crossing the Seine (yes it's that close) and almost to the Louvre. Don't forget the key bus stops a minute away, plus a plentiful supply of taxis, and you are set to enjoy Paris from the perfect home base. We cannot recommend this apartment, nor its owner, more highly. D and M Lexington MA

Difficult to beat
This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment, and we cannot recommend it more highly. The owner takes great care in planning and preparing for guests -- having fresh flowers throughout the apartment, fruit, bottles of water, plus a very nice bottle of wine. Everything runs smoothly from initial contact with the owner through arrival and stay. A great deal of thought has clearly been given to this tasteful apartment, located in an eighteenth century building. Its eclectic and elegant decor surely reflects the owner's thoroughness, thoughtfulness, and good taste, and also the fact that this is someone's home. The furnishings are elegant throughout and hardwood and stone floors make for coolness and comfort. The two of us enjoyed plenty of space (and especially having two separate bathrooms and closets!). The apartment is superbly located, close to the Seine, near bus and Metro lines, and within comfortable walking distance of locations in central Paris. It overlooks a calm and peaceful courtyard with tall trees. One week of our stay this year coincided with a heat wave during which on some days outside temperatures reached 100 F, but the building's thick walls, and the apartment's high ceilings (along with an essential fan) made life inside tolerable for us. This is someone's Paris apartment, which is why it feels like home. It deserves appreciation and above all respect (but is perhaps not the ideal place for a family with small and active children given its many valuable objects).

Perfect Paris Apartment
We had a wonderful visit to this lovely apartment in St. Germain. Paris is a favorite destination and I've stayed in a number of different neighborhoods and this apartment may be located in the best of them all. It is located on the left bank in line with the Louvre "pyramid" and just a block from the Seine. The apartment is in an 18th Century building on the second floor (i.e., the third floor in Europe). The living room and the second bedroom overlook a relatively quiet street (for central Paris) and the back of the apartment, including the master and the kitchen, overlook a central courtyard. There were only two of us and we did not use the second bedroom, but the master bedroom was spacious with an en suite bathtub/shower combination. The living room was quite large with two couches, a coffee table, and a smaller dining table. The apartment was decorated with period and eclectic antiques and a wonderful selection of art. The kitchen was fully functional and was stocked with an assortment of pots, pans, and other accessories. Gas range and a large freezer and refrigerator were available for our use. I also appreciated the Nespresso machine and the kitchen table that overlooked the courtyard. We had no complaints about this apartment, although I would love faster wifi as I had to work a bit during our stay. I did appreciate the ip telephone that I could use to make calls to the states. I do think that two traveling couples could comfortably share the apartment. Communication with the owner was prompt and good. Her housekeeper was quite pleasant and was at the apartment to let us in upon arrival. My only other comment is that the apartment is a walk-up on some stairs that, while grand, could be a bit tricky on the way down (or up). Other than, I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Paris' Perfect Apartment and Location
What a perfect apartment for a Paris vacation. We stayed for two weeks with our 17 and 28 year old daughters over the Christmas holiday. Upon arriving we were welcomed by the housekeeper who provided an overview of the apartment, instructions on operating the appliances, tour brochures, information on the area and when she would return for cleaning. The apartment was well-maintained and very clean upon arrival and all during our stay. The furnishings are lovely and it was our home away home. The rooms are spacious with tons of closet and storage space. The kitchen is well-equipped as I fixed breakfast every morning before we hit the road for sightseeing. The listing accurately describes the apartment. It is a superb location on the Left Bank, one block across the Seine from the Louvre. The Monoprix Grocery store is just 6 blocks/7 minutes away. Be sure to stop at Eric Kayser Boulangerie for a baguette or bring home a quiche to warm in the oven for dinner! Of course, there are many surroundings cafes. We tried Le Voltaire, Le Saint Germain. Les Deux Magots, L Epigramme, just to name a few. For a romantic night for two try L’Atelier Joel Robuc. Les Deux Magots has hot chocolate that is out of this world! Off to the sites, the museums await! The Louvre is an 8 minute walk, Orsay is 7 minutes, Musée de l'Orangerie is 16 minutes and Rodin just 20 minutes. Churches and Cathedrals, Notre Dame & Sainte Chappelle are just a 20 minute walk. Take in an evening concert at Saint Germain des Pres or attend mass at Saint Sulpice and stay for the pipe organ concert afterwards. If you are going to Versailles the Metro station is at Musee Orsay. No Paris vacation would be complete without a ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower, just a 35 minute walk. We ordered Eiffel tickets ahead of time and went in the evening. Order a glass of champagne at the top to toast to your trip. Upon departure, the housekeeper arrived to send us off and wish us au revior! Before our visit I spoke to the owner several times and she was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. Her housekeeper was local and within a phone call away! We would definitely stay here again and recommend this apartment to our family and friends!
