About this property

Enjoy the Poconos while staying in our 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath cottage in the Split Rock Resort community. This home is just a short walk to Lake Harmony and the Split Rock Town Center but far enough away from all the activity to allow guests to "decompress" in a quiet and serene atmosphere.

The house comfortably sleeps 8 in two queen beds, a bunk bed and a full bed pull-out sofa. There are separate living and family rooms each with cathedral ceilings and beautiful floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces. There is also air-conditioning, an eat-in kitchen and laundry room. Sheets, pillow covers and towels are provided.

If you're looking for action, Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski areas are just a short 10 minute drive or shuttle ride away and Pocono Raceway is less than 15 minutes away. The house is close to great locations for fishing, hiking, swimming, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, golfing, kayaking and other outdoor activities. You can also stay indoors by visiting the nearby Split Rock Town Center which has an indoor waterpark, movie theater, bowling, tennis and more.

If you prefer not to "unplug" during your stay, rest-assured you can remain connected with high speed (100+ Mbps) wireless Internet, two 43" LCD TVs, a Blu-Ray DVD player and video streaming services including Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+.

Great Weekend Away

We were looking for a spot in the Poconos, which is about an hour and 20 minutes from us to hang out with our two kids to celebrate my son’s 25th birthday for the weekend. This little spot was so nice! Comfortable, plenty of room, close to everything and outstanding communication from the hosts! Would highly recommend!

Summer Vacation

I have been coming to the Poconos most of my life but mostly for winter activities. However the past few years I was exposed to the lake life during the summer and I am a converted beach goer to a lake lover. The location of the house is perfect. Close enough to the lake if that’s where you want to be but also tucked away up the mountain just enough to enjoy nature and the peace and quiet it offers. The property itself was the perfect set up to allow myself and my daughter the space to be comfortable when we were in the house with just ourselves or friends from the neighborhood. It is a true mountain/lake house.

Paintball weekend

Cabin was perfect to unwind after long days of Skirmish paintball. Only complaint would be the strong smell of smoke, probably from a fire in the fireplace with the flue closed at some time. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Great little cottage

This is our second time staying at this cottage. We stayed with our 2 little ones (1 and 2 yrs old) and they had a blast. The nearby water park is great for little kids. The big slides rarely work so wouldn’t recommend wasting money unless you ask if the slides are working (obviously this has nothing to do with the house but wanted to add it for people renting in this area). Back to the property….. It’s tucked away in the woods so it’s very quiet. The owners are super responsive and kind. If I had one negative (hence 4 out of 5 stars) it would be the cleanliness. It seems like the cleaning crew doesn’t really go above and beyond. Spider webs on all the chandeliers and in the corners, beds were made but very haphazardly and there were not enough towels for us at first glance but I happened to open the dryer and the towels were in there. Also the fireplace mantel looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Cleaning crew clearly didn’t think to empty it. Our kids have allergies which is never good when combined with a dusty house. I WOULD STILL RENT THIS OLACE WOTHOUT A DOUBT BUT WOULD JUST LIKE TO SEE IT GIVEN A REALLY DEEP CLEANING FIRST.

Lake Harmony Retreat

The cabin is spacious and comfortable. Hosts have thought of everything to accommodate your stay. You are perfectly situated close to all the amenities yet a couple blocks away for privacy. We enjoyed biking and kayaking around the lake. Also a great place for walking. Highly recommend this cabin.

Wonderful time in cozy cabin

The place was cozy, comfortable and just right for our family, whether it was just a couple of us, or all the kids came up. 2 living rooms and 2 fireplaces even meant that when the teenagers were up they had their own space - and it was super close to both Boulder and Jack Frost, as well as all the eating places around Lake Harmony. We had a great time this season

Lovely Cottage at Lake Harmony

This cottage had just what we were looking for in a rental. It was cozy, but not too small. Rustic, but with all the modern conveniences. Nestled in the woods, but close to the action. It was the perfect place to beat the summer heat. Our hosts were very thorough when equipping this property. Updated kitchen, plenty of linens and other necessities, laundry room, (a must for our extended stay), and air conditioning for the very few days that the temperature rose. Our hosts thought of everything!! Passing by the cottage most often were lots of deer, chipmunks and even a bear. We totally enjoyed our relaxing stay at LITTLE BEAR COTTAGE!

Quiet weekend stay

The property was very quiet and worked well for our purposes of relaxing while autocrossing at Pocono. The interior has been updated and was clean and orderly. What I liked best was the cute ski-themed décor didn't overwhelm the physical space, and there was plenty of countertop and dresser-top space for our personal items. Communication with the hosts was timely and effective.

Great place / Great owners

We rented this place for a weekend getaway with the family. It is super cozy and we loved the cabin feel. The outdoor patio is great as was the fire pit area. Comfy beds and plenty of blankets to keep warm during the cold months. On a more personal note, my nephew accidentally left his iPad under the bed. The cleaning crew found it and the owner reached out to see if it was ours. I feel like there aren’t many people anymore that are that honest. It would have been easy to just take the iPad but they didn’t. I would definitely recommend this place!

Couples long weekend

This property was a great place to start to explore the Pocono area every day. We spent most of our time at the cabin at the fire or under the porch playing games. Plenty of hot water and a nicely equipped kitchen.

Modern, clean and 'bungalow' feel; brand new kitchen, safe and clean neighborhood- even a firepit outdoors for 'smores :); The owners were exceptionally accommodating as well! Highly recommend this property.

Ski trip

Property was cozy. Needs a good spring cleaning, windows, cobwebs, dust interior blinds, and vacuum sofas. Kitchen could have been cleaner. No lighter for fireplaces. Two beds were not made, we had to make them. Overall slightly disappointing.

Charming cabin with real fireplace

Amazing and cozy cabin nestled in a wooded area just a 5 minute walk from Lake Harmony. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The real fireplace makes this place an amazing winter retreat. Thanks so much Tom and Jess for letting us stay here!

Very cozy, clean and great hosts!

Great cabin feel. Very cozy and VERY well stocked with cooking/baking/grill supplies. You really don’t need to bring anything. Very responsive and helpful when I had a billion questions. Stay here!
