This expansive 3 level, 3+ bedroom, 3 bath Wangan condo is ideal for a family winter getaway. Located just steps off the trail, ski down to the Whiffletree or Super Quad chairs to start your day. We love the location of this condo as it's right off the Buckboard Trail and everyone can come and go as they please. The easy access location makes it an ideal place for the family to meet for lunch without the crowds and expense of the main lodge. Lots of rooms provide plenty of space to spread out. The third floor living room (with deck), kitchen and dining area is a great place to congregate for lunch, dinner and just relaxing in front of the fire.

It was a great place to stay, with the lifts closed in a storm it took us 35 minutes to skin up to broccoli forest entrance.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Old, Dirty and overpriced
Disappointed from the moment we opened the door. The house had a terrible smell, not only of gas but it also smelled so musty and old downstairs. The lower floor is old and outdated. There is a weird area, an old kitchen that has a dirty old stove in it, the buttons taped off, just remove it. The beds and bedding need to be replaced. My poor kids didn't even want to sleep down there. The carpet downstairs was filled with lint, that I ended up vacuuming up. Moving upstairs, you could see the dust everywhere. The kitchen has mediocre appliances and supplies for use. The microwave makes a horrible sound when you use it. The kitchen drawers with the utensils were filthy. Moving to the middle floor with the two bedrooms, again the linens and pillows are so old and need to be changed out..Gross!! Again, the floors were dirty and needed to be vacuumed. The room with the "sauna" is in terrible shape along with the fact the sauna has carpet in it. We never even used it. Unfortunately, it was not made known to us the unit has well water. The smell was so awful and lingered on the body/hair after a shower. After inquiring about the water, I was told they have investigated water treatments and have not found a practical and economical fix to the situation. We paid over 7k for mediocre accommodations.

Then the last bit is the water.. it was not known to us that the house is on a well.. which we are fine with. What we were not fine with is the smell was so awful and lingered on the body/hair after a shower. When I asked the owner about it, I was told they have investigated water treatments and have not found a practical and economical fix to the situation. When a renter pays 7,000 for a week. After contacting owner, I was never even offered even a discount. Terrible place!!
This condo has it all - lots of sleeping space for the adults to spread out and the teens to bunk together and two living rooms! Beds are comfy and there’s lots of extra blankets to cozy up in. The sauna was a big hit! We had 4 adults and 4 teens and everyone loved it - a rarity!
We were two families staying at the condo. Plenty of space for everyone. Very comfortable furniture in the sitting area with the fireplace. Great kitchen for cooking meals. Kids enjoyed their own hang out space on the first floor. Very clean throughout. The ski in/out was very convient. Loved skiing down to Whiffle Tree and avoiding snubber!
We have been skiing and renting at The Loaf for 40 years. Now that we have grandkids our tradition of gathering to ski is so important and made even more memorial by this fantastic condo. We all loved the location and being able to ski to Whiffletree. I especially appreciated the well equipped kitchen and having a sauna. The host couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful. We hope to return
The condo was perfect for our family! We loved the ski out ski in option. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 children 6 and under. Mike was quick to answer my questions before and during our stay. Definitely recommend staying here.
Our family had a great ski vacation! The location is fantastic, steps from the Buckboard trail. Spacious unit with everything you need. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Great location. plenty of room. I would recommend staying here.

Can't beat this location: Ski in and out right to the Wiffletree lift. Such an incredible condo. It's beautifully decorated and wonderfully comfortable! Very thankful for the opportunity to have stayed at such a special spot. Thank you!

Great all around!
Love the layout, specifically that sleeping quarters are on lower levels. This worked well for putting children to bed. Kitchen was well equipped, complete with sharp knives. Access to mountain was easy. Lovely and comfy home!

Great location. Very nice house. Excellent owner communication
My family very much enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean. Kitchen extremely well stocked with pots, pans, good knives, a real coffee maker (which is a big plus for this coffee drinker) and even a nice selection of the cooking basics (oils, spices, etc.). Access to the trail is a very short walk to the end of the parking lot. First time skiers might do better taking the shuttle, but we had no issues popping on skis, skiing the little trail through the woods to Buckboard and then skiing to base. Navigating Buckboard back home was a challenge due to the curveball that Mother Nature threw at us and the fact that the resort doesn’t make snow on Buckboard (it was closed). But I’m sure that this is rarely an issue at Sugarloaf -and we managed to ski our way home anyway. Owner communication was outstanding - text/email responses generally within a few minutes and I could call directly if needed. But instructions throughout the condo made communicating unnecessary. We loved our stay and would definitely return.

Very comfortable and roomy condo that is right on the hill. We really enjoyed the location and room! Very good accommodation that could easily house two families with children.

My family and I have been skiing Sugarloaf for the past 20+ years. After staying in our friends condo next door, we finally purchased our own.
Why they chose this property
We've been staying in this condo complex the last 20+ years. Our kids are getting older and have loved their winter vacations at Sugarloaf. The condo has plenty of room for our family and guests. And since it's located right off the trail, you can ski right to the front door. The large floor plan provides plenty of room for people to relax. And the third living floor is bright with terrific views of the Bigelow Mountains.
