About this property
Bryson City, Entire Cabin to Yourself! King & Queen Beds.
Welcome to the Great Smoky Mountains!
Stay here and relish in the offerings of a true homestead cabin updated with all the modern comforts.
Relax in this calm, stylish space. With thoughtful touches throughout, the goal is for guests to have complete respite when visiting.
This cozy cabin will sleep up to 7 people offering a King, Queen, Twin trundle, and Queen sleeper sofa. The design allows for the comfort of a single visitor, a couple's retreat, or larger groups depending on the need.
The space
Hand-hewn log cabin located in the Nantahala National Forest of Western North Carolina.
Perfectly situated in the countryside just 20 minutes from the quaint and charming downtown Bryson City. The drive up to the cabin borders the streaming cold waters of the Little Tennessee River which is popular for fly fishing, kayaking and even tubing.
Just 9 miles away is the Gorge where the Nantahala River rushes downstream creating rapids large enough for class 2 & 3 white water rafting and kayaking. The Nantahala Outdoor Center and surrounding area also hosts great dining options and a variety of tour companies that provide canopy zip line adventures, guided rafting tours, scenic waterfall Jeep tours and much more!
Within 10 miles are multiple boat access ramps and public swimming areas for Lake Fontana, the deepest lake in North Carolina. With waterways spanning over 20 miles long, summers are a popular spot for pontoon rentals, boating, fishing, jet skis, paddle boarding and even sunset cruises! The entire lakeshore bordered by the Great Smoky National Park which provides numerous hiking trail options as well as waterfalls and horse back tours.
A fun day trip from the cabin could lead you to the Fontana Dam which houses a small museum telling the challenging history and importance of the Dam to the local communities.
In town is the Tuckaseegee River which is also a popular spot for fishing and canoeing as it’s stream is more gentle. Island Park is a great spot to enjoy the scenery of the water and take a small walk with children or pets.
Deep Creek Trailhead is a family friendly hike that passes by three waterfalls and is just 30 minutes from the cabin. During the summer, rent tubes and spend the day floating down the clear waters.
*WINTER DISCLOSURE*
During the coldest months of the year it is common and expected in the Great Smoky Mountains to have an influx of ladybugs and stink bugs seeking warmth inside homes to overwinter. I take many precautions to prevent their presence but they will likely be present despite my best efforts.
While they are relatively harmless, and a nuisance to keep at bay, there is a purpose behind them!
For decades, millions of Asian lady beetles were released into areas of the southeast to fight a tree-killing insect, aphids. The beetles eat the food source of the destructive bug and help protect our forests.
**NOTICE** As of March 21, 2025, the State of North Carolina issued a statewide burn ban until further notice. As such, please refrain from using the fire pit, and take precaution when using the outdoor grill. Please do not leave the grill unattended, and make sure all coals are out prior to leaving or going inside.
