About this property

Tucked away in a quiet lakeside community. Only 6.4 miles to the heart of downtown Blue Ridge.

Hop on the Golf Cart and head on over to the Beach, through neighborhood to Morganton Point Recreational Area where you can enjoy Lake access, public beach, kayak & paddle board rentals, a boat ramp and the most beautiful sunsets.

After the beach take the Gold Cart over to Nomads market for lunch and ice cream.

Great neighborhood for walking, biking, and easy paved road access. Always excellent wifi and cell service along with large working desk and comfortable chair make it great for working remotely.

THE SPACE:
Graced by surrounding mountains, our "Storybook cottage" is made of lovely log construction and exudes time honored charm. A dining nook adjoins an eclectic kitchen that while small, is stocked with everything a cook would want. Two guest bedrooms downstairs lead to an open deck, while a large "sleeping loft" holds 3 twin beds and extra bathroom.

NEIGHBORHOOD:
Our cabin is located in the lakeside community of Ridgeview Heights and is conveniently located to everything. Less then a two minute drive to MORGANTON POINT RECREATIONAL AREA you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over Lake Blue Ridge. Morganton point also provides a PUBLIC BEACH where you can rent canoes, paddle boards, or just spend the day swimming. Take a peaceful leisurely stroll through the neighborhood.... soaking in the scenic Mountain views along gorgeous Lake Blue Ridge and checking out some of the most beautiful little homes by the lake. We are about 5 or so miles to an Ingles grocery store and Downtown Blue Ridge. For any last minute items that may be needed there is a Dollar General store available just out side our neighborhood. Easy All paved road access.

Perfect relaxing vacation!

Storybook cottage is completely accurate! So peaceful Perfect for our family of 5. This was the perfect location for our family to get away from it all. Within an hour’s drive of Amicalola Falls, Anna Ruby Falls, Helen - all of which we visited. Downtown Blue Ridge close by was another daytime outing. Rainy day spent inside the cabin was thoroughly enjoyable and became family game day. Cabin had everything we needed for a much needed get away!

Mountain Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay in this cute little cabin! Probably the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in, which is extremely important to us and very much appreciated! Perfect little spot near the lake and town. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again if we visit the area!

Holiday magic

The cottage was lovely, clean and well furnished with a very user friendly kitchen and dining area. We really appreciated the Christmas decor and tree for tne children.They also enjoyed the golf cart to ride down to the lake for wading in the cold water and rock hunting, as well as frisby with their Dad. All in all it was even better than we expected,and was a perfect fit for our holiday budget. We would definitely like to rent it again for family.

The cottage is in a lovely mountain landscape. The fireplace kept the cottage cozy during the cold weather. There really wasn’t anywhere to take the golf cart as the lake and restaurant weren’t open.

Peaceful neighborhood

This home was comfortable, adequate, spacious, and in what appeared to be a very peaceful neighborhood. It was perfect for the two of us and would've worked just as well if we had traveled with another couple of for a family with kids. We shared multiple messages with the owner before and throughout our stay, all of which were addressed very quickly. We would definitely return to this area and this home

Fall Vacay in north Georgia

It was a great place to stay! Nice and quiet and away from towns! Scenery was gorgeous. About the only problem we had was that we got there after dark and access was a little scary getting our luggage out and down the hill to the front door. Otherwise, everything was great.

Lovely stay - location and space!

We enjoyed a 4 night stay - myself and 3 adult children. There was plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, the linens were clean, etc. We especially enjoyed the firepit and chairs and use of the golf cart. The owner was very responsive when I had a couple of questions. The only thing I would say for others...if you are sensitive to noise...this cottage has zero sound barriers. You can hear EVERYTHING from every room - the cool wood ceilings are also the floor above and without any other insulation, sheet rock, you can hear it all. We didn't care too much, but if you are there with multiple couples or light sleepers, it could be. Highly recommend!

Nice place!

We had a great time at the cottage. It located close to the lake and not far from downtown Blue Ridge. The inside was very nice and very clean. The only complaints we had were 1) the exterior doors sticking( hard to open) due to temperature changes ( we were notified in the check-in email about this so it wasn’t a surprise just annoying). This would also put the electric lock on the door in a bind sometimes, but there was a key in a lock box to assist with opening the door. 2) Due to it being a older cottage the upstairs floor was squeaky so anyone in a bedroom on the main floor could hear every move from above. All in all it’s was a nice place and w would stay there again!

Super adorable

This is such a cute mountain cabin/house with everything you need in it. It is well decorated and stocked. Great location close to the lake and other attractions in a quite neighborhood. We loved our stay and the host was great, very responsive to the short power outage we had due to storms. I highly recommend

Quiet and relaxing.

We stayed at this cottage in Morganton, GA, to celebrate our 59th wedding anniversary. The one thing that we observed about this property and that we will always remember is how quiet the place was during the day and especially at night!! You could hear a pin drop. Absolutely no noise at night. Perhaps we have become too accustomed to the urban noise in the Atlanta area. We enjoyed our stay. We thought the web pictures showing the cottage's interior were a little "photo shopped", but we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Felt secure, relaxed, and enjoyed out time in the Blue Ridge area.

Peaceful

We really enjoyed the property! There was plenty of room and bathrooms for 5 girls (my sister and I and our 3 daughters all over the age of 15). We had a queen bedroom, king bedroom, and 3 twin in the loft. The upstairs floor was pretty squeaky, listening from downstairs bedrooms, due to being a rustic plank flooring. The rustic plank floors and antique/distressed decor was the theme throughout the cabin. Overall very nice and clean. The neighborhood was excellent. The golf cart to ride around in the neighborhood and drive to nearby Morganton Point Recreation area was an added bonus. We packed a few fishing poles and the girls enjoyed fishing. We enjoyed being able to cook for ourselves each day. We picked up groceries from the local Wal-Mart, and we were set. The back deck was a peaceful place to sit and talk while we ate watermelon. We did have alot of fun using the seating/ fire pit area in the front to make s'mores and hot dogs. (Only a suggestion, the area is small and using only a few pieces of wood felt like too big of a fire for the size of the area. Next time, maybe only purchasing a bundle of kindling instead.) Was a great experience!
