The apartment has a roomy single bedroom with queen bed (sleeps 2), full bath, washer/dryer, flatscreen TV/DVD in living room and bedroom, ceiling fans, fully equipped kitchen, granite counter tops, tile floors, large outdoor balcony, and gas grill. Easy 10 minute walk to beach, great restaurants, coffee shops, gourmet grocery store, and breathtaking sunsets. This can be your North County and San Diego vacation home with easy access to Interstate 5 and Pacific Coast Highway 101. Only 5 minute drive to Del Mar race track. A Welcome Respite
We have been staying at this property nearly every summer for the last 10 years. The host, Cindy and Mike, are friendly and responsive, while also giving you your privacy. The location is an easy walking distance to restaurants, the library, shopping, and a beautiful park.

A seven night stay in a very nice unit. Kitchen amenities were plentiful, living space was spacious and bed was comfortable. Nice location in a residential area. Quiet. The host, Cindy, was available and helpful with anything that came up for us. I would definitely stay there again.

Well located, just a short stroll downtown. This lovely place is thoughtfully furnished with options to eat or relax indoors or on the balcony outside. The kitchen is well equipped, and the whole place is really clean and comfortable. Thank you so much, we would love to stay with you again.

Wonderful location and apartment
Cindy and Mike are great hosts and their apartment is perfect for a couple, especially if you enjoy walking to parks, beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The walkable Seaside Market is perfect for prepared food or groceries. Be sure to walk the scenic path to the market, Beach and more. Loved it!

This VRBO is an absolute delight for an adult couple. Cindy and Mike are warm, welcoming and simply the best hosts. The accommodations are spacious, immaculate and meticulously well maintained. When booking lodging through the internet one can never be certain if the advertised accommodations are accurate. In this case, the listing paled in comparison to what my wife and I experienced. Nous avons séjourné 7 nuits dans cet appartement. C'était très propre, nous avons eu un bel accueil et l'accès est très simple. Le stationnement est sur rue, mais il est réservé à la propriété, donc toujours disponible et il s'agit d'un quartier tranquille. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et pas du tout envahissant. Ce fut un parfait séjour.

We have stayed at this property several times over the years. It is clean, well-maintained, and quiet. It is an easy walk to restaurants, the park, and retail. The owners are friendly, but not intrusive. They respond quickly to questions and they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay.

Cindy and Mike’s apartment made our visit to California perfect! We enjoyed the quiet location close to all the best beaches. I started every morning with a walk down to the beautiful path overlooking all the surfers while I got a great workout! The apartment looks exactly like the pictures and all the beach stuff was there for us to use - which was great since the goal of this trip was to bask in the California sun- all the best beaches are a only few minutes away! Cindy’s book with suggestions and maps was extremely helpful too! The only thing that would make it better is if we never had to leave! We will definitely choose to stay here on our next trip to San Diego!

The place was Immaculate and very comfortable. It was adequately furnished, the bed was comfortable and the place is well located to town and beaches. I would recommend replacing the hair dryer as the cord was sparking.

Lovely beach apartment
This is a great property to use while exploring the north coast of San Diego. We had a group of friends camping at San Elijo Beach and this apartment is about one mile away from the beach, which was very convenient. It is an uphill walk back to the apartment, which was ok for us, but may be harder for some travelers. We had no problems finding parking though, so it's also very easy to go back and forth with a car. Encinitas Community Park was a very short walk away. I went there most mornings and it was always full of locals and felt safe and welcoming for solo walkers. There is a lovely playground, dog park, skate park and sports fields. I am an avid birder and the park had great birds every day. The unit was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with all basic cooking supplies. We enjoyed local restaurants for the most part, but we did cook a couple simple meals. The unit also has a real coffee pot, not a Keurig, which was very appreciated. The balcony was lovely and I saw many birds in the trees outside. Cindy was very friendly and welcoming and we felt at ease. Checking in and out was easy. Parking is also easy, there is a designated parking spot on the street right up front. It's even labeled and we never had trouble parking. We had a lovely time in this apartment.

Why they chose this property

Our home is situated in a quiet but easily accessible location to the beach, Cardiff village center, Del Mar race track, Legoland, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Safari Wild Animal Park, Carlsbad Flower Fields, and other local area attractions. There are some great Italian restaurants, Mexican, little beach breakfast and lunch place, Starbucks, and coffee shops. In the special village area there are also clothing boutiques, a yoga studio, nail salon, pizza places, and a new Lost Abbey brew pub.

What makes this property unique

This location provides the feel and familiarity of a village, but access to southern California activities such as hiking, surfing, beachcombing, walking, biking, and rock climbing. We are also located about 1 mile from Bobby Riggs Racquet Club that has both Pickleball and Tennis courts. We have a lovely new paved rail trail from Cardiff to downtown Encinitas that you can walk or bike and a new bike, walk paved trail from our house to Solana Beach. Our area is becoming very walkable and bike friendly area.
