Loved this home. Kids were in the pool everyday. We couldnt go night swimming as the lights did not work. Location if you dont want to be around anyone and a quiet spot this is it. Driving to get places is a given. The zoo is a must see. Cell service through AT&T was not good here even with the wifi booster. Kids and husband did not like that part of our trip. Lol

Our stay here was great! It was nice to have the pool available to use during this hot weather, and the home was very accommodating for our group of 8. Would recommend anyone visiting asheboro to stay here!

Family vacation
Our family had a great time staying here. We spent a great deal of time on the screened in porch and in the pool. We went out in the pedal boat and my nephew even learned to fish. There was a birds nest on the side of the house and we were able to watch the birds feed their babies while relaxing on the porch. The kids also had fun looking for frogs and little geckos that occasionally came out while we were outside.

We reallt enjoyed our stay here! The home is well kept and has nice amenities, the pond was great with the paddle boats, and the drive to the NC Zoo wasnt too long of a distance. This is an awesome place to stay!

We had a terrific time at the zoo and an even better time at the house playing games, enjoying the screened in porch, good size kitchen for snacks and beverages. Everything was great and we've talked about a return stay.

Great spacious family home in beautiful location
House is perfect for visits with family and friends. Plenty of bedroooms, all set off immediately from a central area for gatherings. Plenty of amenities. Bordering a beautiful wooded area.

Couldn't have asked for more!
We celebrated our Papa's 80th birthday with eleven in attendance from five to 87 years old. It was fabulous. A salt water pool, pond with paddle boats and fishing, fire pit for hot dogs and s'mores, everyone had their own bedroom and private bath or close access to one. Fantastic porch where we gathered and ate all of our meals. They furnished everything but the food we ate! It was the most relaxing, quiet, bonding weekend we have ever had. And that was the consensus of everyone there! Our host had had a serious personal emergency just the week before but still managed to provide us with everything we needed plus more. I found them absolutely amazing. There's not enough space to tell you how great it was. Just let me say, we are all looking forward to the opportunity to return!

There were so many amenities I wasn’t expecting. This place is amazing!!! All 9 of us completely enjoyed it and can’t wait to go back!! There were 4 adults and 5 kids (ranging from age 2-16) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Our first time in NC (coming from Colorado and Arizona) and this place was perfect. It had plenty of space for us. The owners were really nice and even recommended which beach to go to (great time!). Thank you for opening your home to us!

If you’re looking for a get away from society and to feel more connected with nature, this is your calling. We had such a great experience at this residence. There is wifi, fyi. Owners are super duper friendly and kind! Hoping to make our way back at some point.

Fantastic, relaxing getaway
Beautiful and spacious home with many amenities and things to do without even leaving the area. A pool in the summer would be amazing (we stayed before it was open) , fire pit to gather everyone around and enjoy time together, screened in porch was huge and a great place to hang out. We went to the NC zoo which was only a short 20 minute drive away. The owners were warm and responsive. Highly recommend this property!! We will certainly be coming back.

What a hidden gem! Literally could not be happier with our stay. Our family of four teens (13-15) had a fantastic time. Fished the pond, took the boats out, campfires every night. Beautiful and serene location- house is so quiet and relaxing. We hiked Uwharrie, spent some time in charming Troy (check out the coffee shop!) and of course, did the zoo. Restaurants and groceries in proximity, everything we needed. Hosts were fantastic- everything was exactly as described and we had everything we needed. Will definitely visit again!

The property was beautiful but the carpets are nasty with stains, dirty laundry in the laundry room from other guests. The oven was disgusting. Mouse droopings in the frying pans.

perfect spot for an adventure into Seagrove
Very nice hosts. I can imagine that " in season" this is a wonderful property for a large family to gather! Not much to do in the cold of the fall and the fireplace doesn't work. The location is wonderful for those off to explore Pottery highway or the local State park for hiking. Thanks for all the coffee supplies!!!!

We Will Be Back
We have been coming to the area for years to go to the zoo for my daughter’s birthday. We are a large group and staying at a hotel is really expensive. We also can’t be guaranteed rooms close to each other. This house was the answer to all of this. It is close to the zoo and large enough to fit us all. It had everything we needed, was clean, and the owner was so nice and helpful. We all loved it and we will be back. No more hotels for us!!

What makes this property unique

Hiking Trails: Blue tape marks a hiking trail through our woods. Trailhead is to the right of the green building by the pond and to the left of the wooden trash box.

Pond: Fishing is permitted in the pong, catch and release only please. Fishing poles are located in the laundry room. Paddle boats and Jon boats are available for use, paddles located under the boats. Life Vests must be worn by anyone under 16 years of age.

Pool: Open during summer only. Pool is private. Gates must remain closed at all times. Pool is 3ft on the ends and 5ft in the center.
