Nice Stone Farm House

Loved the look and feel of the 'old farm house' and all of the room there was for the 7 of us. The landscape and lawn needed a lot of work. Weeds were 3 foot high in landscape beds and grass needed to mowed. Some of the mattresses need to be replaced they were sagging and uncomfortable to sleep in. There was a fire pit pictured on one of the patios and it was not there and you could not even get out the door to that patio because the area was so overgrown. Driving in the driveway trees and bushes were so overgrown that they brushed on the sides and top of the vehicle. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, pans, crock pot, etc. Loved the covered back porch with the ceiling fans and table & chairs. The house was located in a quiet area.

Somewhat disappointed

Hard to find house since no signs on Freysville Rd. other than neighbors 282 address. Outside landscape was unkept. Various potential hazards in house and back porch. Size was perfect, but need more furniture in family room. A little sprucing would make a really big difference. No water in cooler. Should remove items not usable, stove in dining room,, broken chair, water cooler.

Great for Large family stay

Overall we enjoyed being there after first appearances. Had a family reunion on a day that it poured all day but there was plenty of room for everyone inside the house and on the covered back porch. The outside of the property is very over grown. Grass was not cut. I’m a gardener and was very disappointed in the outside appearance of the bushes and flowers that were very overgrown and full of weeds. . A lot of deferred maintenance. It made us very nervous of what we would find inside. The inside was very large and really historic looking. The beds were comfortable. The Kitchen is nice and fairly up to date. The kitchen was well supplied except for the very small 2 slice toaster. Which made breakfast a little challenging with a big group. The bathrooms could use an update but were functional. They really need a sectional in the living room to accommodate a family. The one and only TV is in the living room. The antique sofas are not really too comfortable. With all that said, we did enjoy ourselves and the inside of the house worked for us.

Nice quiet spot

This is a lovely old farmhouse with everything we needed to enjoy hanging out, cooking, and playing board games together. Close enough to Hershey and Lake Clarke for very enjoyable day trips. Most, but not all, of the beds were comfortable. The owners were very friendly and responsive.

Plenty of Room for Big Families

We stayed at the property for Thanksgiving. We have teenage children and they really enjoyed the pool table. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us! We enjoyed our stay and explored the property a bit on walks. Beautiful views out of every window. This is a historic home so when you walk in you will be greeted with the smells of a real wood fireplace. It is strong at first but we all quickly got used to by the next day. This house has 6 bedrooms. It is filled with vintage furniture which is fitting with the home but we did wish the TV room had couches that were a bit more comfortable for night time TV viewing with the family. All of the beds were comfy except for the bedroom over the garage. My Sister & BIL had put several comforters down in an effort to help but no such luck. Also there were a few extra appliances that were not hooked up in random rooms. Like a fridge on its side in the room over the garage & a stove with a blanket over it in the dinning room. Although a bit odd it did not take away from our overall experience. We wanted a Vintage Farmhouse and that is exactly what we got! Communication with the owner was spot on and she responded quickly to all of my correspondences. My nephew is a little historian and LOVED the house and was asking when we could return again? We had a lovely Thanksgiving despite being in the middle of a Pandemic. Would recommend staying here for large family gatherings.

Big Farmhouse with Lots of Room

There are plenty of rooms to fit your whole family - and then some! The side yard was nice for the kids to run around in, and the two dining tables were nice to use to both eat and play some board games.

COVID-19 Manor House stay

We had planned a family reunion in PA. Soon after we arrived, the COVID-19 pandemic caused the Governor to order a lock down in PA. The area attractions we had hoped to see were all closed down (including the Ski slope). But we could not have had a better place to stay during the lock down. We named the house "The Manor." It has a fireplace for cozy evenings and rooms all over the place. My son made up a game called "Man. Down" or "Murder at the Manor," which was like Clue. The property is large, and we had Easter egg hunts for the kids. We found games in the basement, which we used, including Croquet, Horseshoes, and Volleyball. Our flight out was delayed by 1.5 days, and since the next guests were not due right away, the owner very kindly let us stay the extra time at a discounted price. Overall, we had an excellent time.

Needs work

They house was not 12 miles away from farm show complex like they had told me instead it was over 30. Bathrooms still had hair in them from last person showers suck bed sheet in one room were stained bad having a pool table is useless when there are no sticks told them had 8 people and there was only 6 beds due to room being locked and under construction. And heat could use a upgrade room above garage don’t stay real warm. House is can be a cool place to rent but needs some work and wish I didn’t have a 45 min drive everyday to the trade show I was doing

This charming historic retreat was just right for our family of 9 adults and 3 grandchildren.

We enjoyed the spacious accommodations, especially the 2 large dining tables and the pool room. We appreciated that the property provided rooms to gather as a family and enough space for those who needed down time. The bedrooms were quiet and no one could hear the any noise from downstairs from the late night family members. The property gave the grandkids lots of room to run around and explore. It was a perfect place for our family reunion and we would definitely come back again to here again.

Beautiful house

We really enjoyed staying here. Very quiet. The one thing I was disappointed about was I was hoping to use the suite over the garage for our son and his girlfriend. But I called and was told we couldn’t use it as it was separate listing but it made the 6th bedroom listed so I was confused about that. So I put my son and his girlfriend in bedroom downstairs but they said it squeaked horribly and made loud noises every time they moved. The other issue is that the house needed good cleaning, mainly the floors, there was dirt and cobwebs on some places on the floor and one in the kitchen ceiling. Microwave had spill on the plate. Cleaners had obviously missed those couple things. We did not cook anything in the house. We spent most of the time sightseeing so weren’t there much except to sleep and shower. Loved the flowers they left in the kitchen and dining room they smelled wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. It is a beautiful house with so much room!!

Beautiful Country Estate

Perfect place for our needs, well maintained for being such an old home. We had a couple of little issues, but the property manager was incredible at communication and on top of taking care of any issues. It was perfect for our group, rooms were nice, plenty of space and privacy for all. It looks as though they are continuing to update this beautiful home and I would highly recommend this property for a family or group coming to stay to see the sights in the area. Great location a few miles off from the highway and local stores within a mile. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property. I wish it wasn't raining almost the entire week, but you can't help mother nature! Thank you again!

Tranquil and spacious old farmhouse

We had a wonderful family-centered stay at The Farmhouse. The layout of the main floor is really nice and open, with a very large family/living room space. This was ideal for us as we had a 10-month old in a walker who needed space for exploring, as well as 6 to 8 older kids all playing together at times on the Nintendo Switch. So the fact that the living space could fit all of those people, simultaneously, was just perfect. There are also 2 dining tables (one in the dining room and one in the family room), which enabled us to seat 14 for dinner one evening. We also really appreciated the high chair and pack-n-play that were provided. With all of those people, I do a lot of cooking, and I was truly stunned at how well equipped this home was. It had everything we needed and more! Normally, when we rent a house, we end up having to buy some necessity for the kitchen, but that was not the case here! We were pleasantly surprised by the number of bedrooms, as (if I recall correctly) the home was listing as sleeping up to 9, but with 5 bedrooms with at least a full-sized bed in each (plus the one low-to-the-floor cot-like bed which my 6-year old was just in love with!), the home could comfortably sleep 11! Lastly, were the big, beautiful grounds, with a nice view off the back porch. We were there in winter, so couldn't spend much time on the back porch, but any other time of the year, I suspect it is just lovely. We truly hope to return to experience it ourselves! As it was with the cold, the one who got to enjoy the grounds the most was our dog, and of course our young children as they seem impervious to the cold temperatures :) But, we did get to witness a gorgeous sunrise one morning. All in all, we couldn't have been happier with our stay here, and we look forward to returning!
