About this property

Enjoy our completely remolded “Little Place in Paradise”. New upgraded Design Kitchen, New Bathroom features, New dining, family room furniture and bedding. Two new Mitsubishi AC units. All new Exterior Doors and Windows throughout. New electric service, hot water heater, safe and storage area upgrades. (See Pictures) One of the Bari Reef's best locations. We are original owners and were present during the development stages we were able to choose a premium corner unit condo in a great location that was closest to our beach which gives us a great second floor view and spectacular sunsets.
New full view screening on our corner unit 270 square foot balcony provides bright open air spaciousness and true Caribbean feel.

The view alone

Was worth the money! Balcony was gorgeous. Bed was comfy, drying room was so useful for getting stuff dry before heading back. Looking forward to a return stay!

Fantastic time

We just got back from a wonderful time on Bonaire. The week was made that way by staying at A-2 at Sand Dollar. The place was extremely clean and everything was in working condition and the pictures and descriptions were totally appropriate and accurate. The kitchen was stocked with tons of dishes, pots, pans and silverware. In addition there were cutting boards, colanders, measuring cups and spoons and all sorts of baking equipment. There was even aluminum foil and Saran Wrap and coffee filters. There were condiments also. The bed was very comfortable and all the furniture was in excellent shape. One of the best things was the responsiveness of the owner. I must have messaged her 6 - 8 times with questions and she always got back to me within the hour. You will be well taken care of if you use this property for your visit to Bonaire.

Great stay at sand dollar condos

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in A 2 It was clean and comfortable and looks out to the water and the setting sun. We loved the convenience of the Dive Friends shop and the private pier.

Wonderful location for divers!!

We have stayed in Sand Dollar many times. This condo stood out for how close it was to the dive shop, and the screened porch! The photos online were accurate. Since we stayed longer than a week we changed out towels/sheets with the office. A small stand up laundry rack to put on the porch would have been handy. Overall a nice updated unit.

Wonderful stay and a perfect, convenient, beautiful location.

Everything about the stay was wonderful: a clean condo with a nice kitchen, 2 AC units, the small beach in front of the condo, the proximity to Dive Friends / Bari reef and even the next-door restaurant — it all adds up to a highly satisfying rental experience. I’d definitely stay here again.

Great Unit in Great Location

Sand Dollar is waterfront and quite centrally located. The actual unit is large and the closest one to the dive shop and pier - helpful when you forget something for your dive. Beach isn't very big but the house reef is a really nice dive.

Beautiful and relaxing

This was the perfect place to stay for our first trip to Bonaire!! The apt was clean and comfortable, exactly as described. The location is wonderful and the view can’t be beat. Screened in porch is a godsend! My husband did notice that the noise (air compressor?) from the dive shop is constant during the day (while the shop’s open) and can be a bit annoying, but that was the only real downside (and it didn’t bother me). We loved every minute of our stay and are already dreaming of coming back!

This recently remodeled unit has all new appliances and a large open floor plan. HUGE balcony! Closest to Dive Friends Dive Shop so super convenient. Very communicative owner and we will stay again!

Owner and management were very accommodating. Condo was clean and everything worked. Would highly recommend and I personally would rent again. Bonaire is a wonderful island and the condo's house reef is wonderful

This was a wonderful stay. It was nicely furnished. Excellent location! The owner was easy to work with and very accommodating. The water pressure was amazing. Super clean and a wonderful balcony to watch a beautiful sunset nightly.

great view but needs renovation

This perfectly situated unit needs major renovation and sprucing up. PROS: It's right next to the Dive Friends shop and dock, 2 air condition zones, has a amazing screened in patio that has a awesome view of the ocean and Klien Bonaire. CONS: Kitchen needs major renovation and the photos don't show it. Tiles are coming off the wall, frig door has rust spots all over, dishwasher did not work because it was unhooked. Overall, the place felt and smelled dated. On the plus side, the cleaning lady comes in twice a week and she does a good job and the owners were quick to respond to my questions.

Home away from home

This was our sixth Sand Dollar stay. This was an excellent rental there. The condition is well maintained and the decor very homey with a diver theme. It is a second story, so the breezes through the room were great. Very little need for the ac. The location in the facility is awesome. It is the southern most, so very convenient to Dive Friends or Bonaire Dive and Adventure. The view is great also!

The nicest unit of the 5 we've stayed in!

My husband and I rented this unit for 13 nights in February and found it to be very nice. This was our fifth trip to Bonaire, but this is the first time we rented this specific unit. The rental process was easy and the unit was exactly as described on VRBO. This resort is quiet and laid back. It's not fancy, but the friendly atmosphere and friendly people make it a great place to stay. Bonaire is our favorite Caribbean island and The Sand Dollar Resort is our favorite place to stay. There is great snorkeling right in front of the resort with easy access. There are also many other areas around the island for snorkeling right from shore; or you can go on the Woodwind for a snorkel trip out to Klein Bonaire. We will definitely be back next year!!

Enjoying beautiful Bonsire

My partner and I have stayed in the Sand Dollar community before. It is primarily a dive resort though there are many other activities available on the island such as kayaking, caving, biking, hiking, wind surfing,etc. The unit is an older one but was clean and had new furniture and bedding. Given its location, there was a wonderful breeze coming through and we only used the ceiling fans and had no need of the bedroom air conditioner. It is close to both nearby dive shops and there are good restaurants in the vicinity as well as a reasonably supplied grocery store about 1/2 mile away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it for an active couple or single .

We purchased this unit (A2) directly form the developers who invited us to this lovely place and offered one of the premium locations at the resort and we have been enjoying vacations here with friends and family ever since. Our condo is one of the most requested by repeat guests at the Sand Dollar.

Unit A2 is ideally located, a second floor corner unit expands the views and creates an island breeze so refreshing that most times you do not need air conditioning but if you do we have two new AC units which cool the entire condo. The sunsets are absolutely spectacular.
Sand Dollar's house reef, Bari Reef, is ranked number one in the Caribbean's top ten sites for variety of fish species and can be accessed from the beach directly in front of our unit. The island of Bonaire was recently designated by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as having the most pristine coral reefs in the Caribbean.
You have the privacy, security and views afforded by our second floor, oceanfront site
Our friends at Bonaire Dive and Adventure which is just steps away, Dive Friends also has 5 other locations in Bonaire which you will have access to.They offer dock/pier, guest gear storage, easy access to air, free upgrades to Nitrox, free weights and belts, rinse tanks, professional instruction, boat dives and more.
Off the street guest parking just across the lawn from our unit. Traffic noise is a non-issue
