About the host
Hosted by Allie Demers

We live in Friendswood, which is just 35 minutes away from White Magnolia. We enjoy the quick escape of city and beach life combined that Galveston affords. We love to play tennis and the Macguire Dent Recreation Center has six free courts you can hop on and it is less than one mile from the house. Pleasure Pier has been fun for the kids and the Sunday brunch at the Grand Galvez is a treat and wonderful to walk to from the house. We also like that we are close by to help meet the needs of our guests during their stay.
Why they chose this property
Within Galveston our home is located in the San Jacinto district of the East End. Homes in that area were constructed in the 1950s and earlier offering historic charm and interest. Our home is next to The Bryan Museum, which is known for their Texas history and it's previous existence as an orphanage. The Bryan has become a leading venue for weddings in the Galveston area.
What makes this property unique
White Magnolia is a combination of comfort and modern sophistication. We aim for some "wow" elements including our photo wall in the private terrace and custom Scrabble sign that welcomes you by name. We also provide baked goods for each guest stay from our partner company, White Magnolia Bread Co., and origami cranes on every bed - the symbol of good luck. Additionally, we work with photographers and others in the area so that we can be the concierge for all of our guests needs.
White Magnolia is perfectly positioned between The Strand and the beach, both within walking distance. Once you get to White Magnolia you could literally just walk or bike everywhere that you want to go on the island. Upon request, we will have bikes ready for your use during your stay. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance so there is no bother with late night transportation.
Walking down to the beach for sunrise or sunset is magical. The pictures you can take from your own phone look professional and help you remember what we hope will be memorable for years to come.
