About this property
Cheerful 3 Bedroom Cottage by Rail Trail
Enjoy our spacious 3-bedroom home, just outside of town but close to New Paltz’s vibrant Main Street, filled with restaurants and shops. A bike rental is only a 3-minute walk away, and you’re minutes from the rail trail, an apple orchard, and cidery.
Explore local wineries, antique shops, and beautiful hiking trails with a short drive or Uber ride. History buffs will love the Huguenot Historic District and High Falls towpath.
Your perfect New Paltz getaway awaits!
The space
Our house has a quaint Bavarian cottage-vibe with modern eclectic touches. We have views into the forest to the north and one neighbor just to the south as you head to town. The yard offers a small deck and a fire pit in the back where you can enjoy nature and some roasted marshmallows.
Downstairs there is one bedroom to the east with side deck-access where you can use the charcoal grill in the summer as long as NY State is not under a drought watch. Towards the front of the house is a smaller bedroom with a sleeper-couch and a small desk. There is one loft-like master bedroom upstairs with a slanted “under the eaves” roof style and skylights. It has a large desk, tv and enough floor space for a work out, yoga session or child's play area.
The living room offers a comfy sofa, tv and easy chair and opens to a fully stocked kitchen that has everything you need to cook and enjoy your stay.
You can sit on the front porch facing S. Ohioville road to watch the sunset. We are not totally "in the country," but rather on the "outskirts of town," though it's pretty quiet here at night. During the day you can spot rabbits and wild turkey, depending on the season.
