My name is Maria Stavroulaki, from the charming town of Rethimno, Greece. With over thirty years of experience in the tourism industry, my journey began when I opened my beloved restaurant in the heart of Rethimno. My passion for hospitality quickly blossomed, and 15 years ago, built Villas Diktamos, a set of properties in the picturesque village of Atsipopoulo.
I believe that every guest deserves more than just a place to stay – they should feel like part of the family. Whether it’s offering local insights, recommending hidden gems, or going above and beyond to make each visitor's stay unforgettable, I try to ensure that everyone leaves with memories to cherish.
I have always held Greek hospitality close to my heart, a value that runs deeply through the veins of my culture. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the warmth and generosity that defines the Greek spirit. Whether it was sharing a meal with friends and family or welcoming strangers with open arms, I learned that true hospitality isn’t just about offering food or a place to stay—it’s about creating a space where people feel truly seen, heard, and valued.

Diktamos Villas are situated at a distance of 75 km west of Heraklion International airport or 60km from Chania International airport and only a 5' min. drive from the centre of the beautiful historical city of Rethymno, a place blessed with beauty, embraced by high mountains and the deep blue of the Mediterranean sea, decorated with renaissance colours and inhabited by people known for their hospitality honouring their traditions.

Rethymno's old city is located beneath the walls of its sleepless guard the Venetian Fortezza which was built in the 14th Century and preserves a vivid medieval renaissance feeling.

These exclusive houses sit within a 6.000 meters private estate on the northern coast of Crete, near the resort area of Rethymnon, in Atsipopoulo. With a splendid views of the Venetian city, sandy beach and a breathtaking view over the endless deep blue Aegean sea, it combines an elegant natural setting and is the perfect choice to meet the taste and expectations of travellers who value quality, elegance, privacy and the experience of a unique holiday.

- Villa Notos is a 2 bedroom house (100sqm), similar to Ammos and can accommodate 4 guests in beds and up to 5 guests.

Outdoor area
The outdoor area of the complex offers several facilities, shared between the villas, which include:
- A 40 m² communal swimming pool with sun beds, umbrellas and resting area
- Barbecue and outdoor dining area
- Beautiful garden with seating area
- A communal washing machine
- Each villa has it own parking space

Starting January 1, 2024, a new Greek tax was introduced which is called the “Climate Crisis Resilience Charge”, requiring a fee of 2 euros per night from March to October and 1 euros per night from November to February. The amount needs to be paid in cash or by card upon your arrival at the villa.
