This home is one house back from the water (not 3 as Google Maps shows). It feels practically brand new, and is a stand out in the neighborhood, which is mostly much older cottages (and they’re thankfully one story tall between you and the sea). Your view of the ocean is unobstructed from the 2nd floor deck, and a very short walk to the stairs down to the beach. Solid breeze upstairs, windows all around, just fantastic (missing a few kitchen screens though).
Couple things to note, due to my lack of experience. Hold the remote controls very close to the built in wall (not window) AC units. Bring your own sheets (queen, double, double, twin), but buy ones for thick mattress’s (14”+)... atleast for the queen bed. No need for ice, the ice maker in the fridge is huge, and eager to please. Didn’t use the Weber gas grill, but it was ready to go, with extra propane tank just in case. There is no tub, so children will need to be able to shower themselves, or, well, we’ve all been there, right? If you can’t find the bath mats, check the dryer on ground level in the hall. Bring some hand towels, or extra paper towels. Bring a few dishwasher and laundry tabs, but you’ll probably find some there to exchange.
We had a great time, and the home is beautiful. Love the beds down, kitchen/living up. Children were far more interested in the breakwater than the beach, which still confounds me? No surfable waves to speak of here, it’s a sheltered harbor, but the light surf/waves still lull you to sleep. Hope we have the pleasure again.
