There is 3 bedroom house and a two bedroom guest house on the property. This rental includes both the main house and the guest house that are connected ny an outdoor deck walkway.

For our winter visitors, we stock the house with pinion firewood that burns a beautiful flame and will keep you warm. We set fuzzy blankets out throughout the house for your winter comfort. We have a spare portable heater if you need it. We have had one guest that really liked that. There is a lot of room to stretch out and enjoy the fire and the blankets, and the great view of the canyon greenbelt just outside the windows.

For our summer visitors, this is really a summer paradise. The house features big rooms, lots of space, three large, private decks just installed behind the house facing the expansive greenbelt canyon, a hot tub, beautiful heated pool renovated end of 2018. There are several outdoor tables, chairs, umbrellas and overhead sunscreens. We keep pool toys by the pool and a gizmo to inflate them. There is a BBQ and plants on the deck outdoors. But mostly, there is a lot of room on the deck outside - about 3000 SF of deck to enjoy the outdoors in privacy.

HERE ARE THE DETAILS ABOUT THE HOME
This is a beautiful, completely remodeled home, filled with antiques, artwork and beautiful furniture. The house feature large rooms, several private decks outdoors, a beautiful heated pool and hot tub, and stunning views on the edge of the Barton Creek greenbelt.

Everything you need is here. You just need to bring clothes and food. The property includes a house with three large bedrooms upstairs, a queen size sofa sleeper in the TV/Music room downstairs and two full baths upstairs and on half bath downstairs. The guest house has two large bedrooms and a full bath in between them. There is a full bath on the middle deck.

The property is decorated with antique French and American furniture and antique glass collections. Beautiful designer tile and wood flooring, granite counter tops throughout, ceiling fans throughout, and board and electronic games. We have lots and lots of electronic and board and card games. You will love spending time enjoying the views from the private decks- a little slice of heaven.

The living area in the main house is centered around the large wood burning fireplace guaranteed to make your stay a pleasant one. The walls surrounding the floor to ceiling fireplace are covered in book shelves that display hundreds of antique glassware pieces. The oversize couches and chairs will keep you comfortable. The large TV/Music room features Wii games, two electric guitars & amplifiers, two drums, and a keyboard, a gym mat for stretching, a canvas TP for the kids, a box of videos and some interesting books.

The views from the bedrooms, the decks, pool, and hot tub facing the back of the property are beautiful.

The home is located in Westlake Hills right on the Barton Creek greenbelt and is 15 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes to Zilker park, 30 minutes to Lake Travis, and close to numerous restaurants and nightlife. Lake Travis is only 30 minutes away. This is a one of a kind vacation home. It is large and comfortable with lots of space to move around in. The decks to see the view from are as large as the house itself. One group who stayed said "This house just goes on forever. There is so much space here."

The tile work on the floor and the shower is beautiful and the counter tops are gorgeous. Shower with the light coming in through block glass window.

Beautiful, Amenitized, and Nicely Furnished Home

This home is a hidden treasure! It looks appealingly from the street, but you open up to a stunning view of the distant hills, plus beautifully furnished rooms that can seat a large group of people or create a cozy and relaxing environment for a couple. The pool is beautiful, the grill is in great condition and easy to use, the bedrooms were well furnished and the beds were super comfy. The bathrooms were very clean, stocked with plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo, too. We could not have been happier with our stay, and with our host, Paul.

Metropolitan getaway

I stayed here with some friends and we had a great time. The space was huge - we especially appreciated the sprawling deck and pool, which helped with scorching temperatures in ATX. The view is phenomenal. Great location, within 15 minutes of both downtown Austin and the lake. Only note is that the electronics (such as living room TV) are dated, but the space and pool made up for that slight inconvenience. Good times!

Hot tub broken for 2 of 3 nights, owner unapologetic

The layout of the house is wonderful. Great location. The view & setting is great. Pool is fabulous. Hot tub fabulous, when it worked. The house is very lived in, so there is lots of extra stuff around. Like many, many games & toys. Not well organized, but also not in the way. The house has the feel of deferred maintenance. Some of the amounts of dishes was not enough for a group of 8 (I don’t recall which, this feedback came from another member of the group). Some hot water didn't work, some outlets didn’t work. Both were resolved fairly quickly (sent plumber over right away) but still… 6 of 8 of us had cold showers. Outlets never fixed and no follow-up. The biggest bummer by far was the hot tub, the reason we rented this house. We were told it would be fixed the next day and that day came and went with NO UPDATE and NO RESPONSE to my checking in. (Until it was too late, and then unapologetic). That’s what really gets me :( It was then fixed, for the final night. Owner was pleasant enough, but just didn’t seem to care too much about the guest satisfaction component. The house has so much great potential so kind of a bummer, but we still had a very nice trip.

family get together and wedding

Our family has not been able to get together in over a year and this was a wonderful home to do that! We loved the outdoor seating and the pool and hot tub. The views are lovely and the music room is fun for my adult boys who play piano:) We had a wedding to attend and we all had enough room to get ready. The guesthouse area is so cute. It all worked out perfectly and we recommend it to families coming to Austin. We could get in and out of the city easily. The house is generously stocked and has everything you could need-including an iron and ironing board!

This property is awesome for a large family.

We ranged in age from 3 to 65. We gathered family from four states for Thanksgiving and the property couldn’t have been better. Well stocked kitchen which was important since we were preparing Thanksgiving Dinner. Great location.

Overall the stay was excellent. The home was very spacious. The deck and pool areas give you a feeling like you're in a secluded area. The host responded quickly when we had questions. I would definitely use this property again when my family gather in Austin.

Great winter getaway!

I, personally, had to cancel my participation in the trip, so this review is from the others in my group who were able to go. A group of authors booked this beautiful home for a retreat, and it was a wonderful location for a winter getaway. It had a beautiful view, comfortable accommodations, plenty of blankets, and great seating areas. It felt remote but everything was still really close. The home had a lot of character. It had everything we needed and was as advertised. We would definitely stay there again!

Amazing Views and Relaxing Atmosphere

This stay was everything and more than we could have asked for our weekend birthday gateway. Beautiful views and far enough from the city noise yet still close enough to be able to enjoy a night out. We had nine guest total and the house fit us all comfortably. The host was very responsive to all our questions and requests. Would definately recommend especially to someone wanting to get away and relax in a pool with an amazing view.

Amazing vacation

Paul's Sky Forest is a great place to stay for a group. The pool has an amazing view looking out over a greenbelt, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. The location is a little out of town, which was great because it's quiet, but there is shopping within a mile, and it's a really quick Uber or Lyft to wherever you want to go. We found the beds to be comfortable and linens were nice as well. It might be nice to have more silverware, just because as a large group we were hand-washing spoons and forks to keep up, but seriously, that is not a big complaint. If you leave food open on the counter (especially sweet stuff), you'll get tiny little ants, but this is typical of every place I've stayed in the south/southwest, and not an indicator of the cleanliness of Paul's place. Just keep the counters wiped and food sealed and stored, it's that easy. Paul was really good about keeping in touch when we had a question, and it was nice that the check-out requests were minimal (it always bugs me to pay a cleaning fee and then have to do a ton of stuff before you leave). We sat out on the porch each night, talking and listening to music, and did not have issues with the neighbors, but we did try to make sure we weren't being too loud. In summary, this is a beautiful home, and you won't regret staying here. Thank you, Paul, for a lovely time!

Labor Day Getaway

The home was perfect, felt just that, homey. Once you walk in, the views from the large back windows are gorgeous!! Breath taking! The home was very clean, and had everything needed to use, from the kitchen utensils to the restroom hygiene products! We didn't need to buy anything only our food! The poo area was so nice and being able to swim with such a beautiful view was a plus. My only tip, don't leave food on the counters, ants will def take over(nothing a quick clean up cant fix). We all definitely loved this place and would love to be back!
