Rabbit Hollow
This was our 2nd time staying at Rabbit Hollow. We love the little cottage so much. My dogs are able to be outside and play in the spacious yard. The cottage is very convenient to downtown Weaverville as well as a short drive to Asheville. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Above and Beyond
Ray and Vicki make your stay special. From things like providing information about the area too leaving a Fresh Apple Pie or all the fixings for S'mores to be made at the burn pit. Some people may find these to be simple things, but we felt is going Above and Beyond what you usually get. Thanks to them both.

The Cutest Weekend Getaway
Vikki's little cottage was a dream for me and my two girlfriends. We all left feeling relaxed and honestly, didn't want to leave. Asheville was just a short drive and very convenient. However, do not sleep on downtown Weaverville. It's a charming small town with an excellent pizza spot and brewery. We will definitely come back to the cottage.

Great place for a cozy stay!
Our stay at Rabbit Hollow made our Asheville trip better. We were all tired from our road trip coming in but instantly felt like we were at home when we arrived. We got to enjoy the peace and tranquility away from the city while also being just minutes away from stores and great restaurants. Ray and Vikki were very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. We would love to come back here in the future whenever we’re in Asheville again!

Do not pass on this one!
I stayed for a weekend with the main part of our trip to go to Mount Mitchell. DEFINITELY take this drive then walk to the top. It's open and paved.... my 89 year old friend was able to do it! Now back to the property. (The drive to the top of the mountain is only one hour on the Blue Ridge parkway, and it's a beautiful scenic drive.) LOVED this place. Vikki made it so homey, as soon as you walk in you feel so comforted. The kitchen is the best VRBO kitchen ever. She has high quality pots and pans, which seems like a rarety in rentals. It was stocked with coffee, cream, salt, spices. She thought of everything you need.... even fire starter to get an awesome fire going in the fire pit. Also other little things like plug in heaters and a delicious apple pie to greet us. Vikki and Ray are top notch hosts. Communication was great. Following her directions to the property is a must. They are simple and it's true.... I would have been confused by the GPS. As others have mentioned there is a little road noise, NO BIG DEAL. It's NOT a deal breaker to hear a car drive by. The property is very close to Weaverville and Ashville for great restaurants (if you don't feel the need to use the wonderfully stocked kitchen), yet you feel like you are in the woods. Also, the beds were comfortable for a great sleep at the end of the day. If I were ever to come back here I would not hesitate to rent again.

Wonderful stay!
This was our 3rd time staying at this property and every time we’ve stayed we have had a great experience! Private but close to everything. The little town of Weaverville is always a joy with great food and fun little shops. This time we brought both of our dogs and it was perfect for them! Definitely our first choice when staying in the area with our pups!

Peaceful Home Away from Home
My husband and I travelled to North Carolina from Illinois in early September with our dog Vinnie. We arrived to this lovely private cottage and were greeted with a delicious homemade apple pie and fixings for s’mores by the fire. The hosts for this property went above and beyond with supplying us with our every need and comfort while staying at their cottage. We absolutely loved the private and peaceful location that felt like we had no neighbors, but yet was close enough that any excursion to surrounding mountain towns were only short drives away. We spent a lot of time simply sitting on the front porch and rocking while taking in the fresh air. We were lucky enough to see a bit of wildlife in the yard. Overall, this was the perfect cottage for us and our dog and we are already in the process of planning our trip for next November. Thank you so much for providing this wonderful getaway for us!

Our family is native to the area, it is our desire to live our lives out in our home town and near family. We had the opportunity to purchased the 7 acres and cottage in 2002 now known as Rabbit Hollow. We have renovated and improved the cottage over the years, knowing the history of the property, space for families and the convenience of the area makes a perfect vacation rental for our guest.

Why they chose this property

We loved the lay of the land, the old timey flora that is planted in the yard and the content homey feeling we had when we visited the property (it was like being at our grandparents' house when we were kids) along with the rich history that came with the place. We fell in love with the property.

What makes this property unique

The property has plenty of yard space for family, friends and pets while being so convenient to amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants but yet a very private property wooded all around. There are no homes within view nor roads to worry about children or pets, the cottage is homey and cozy its hard to leave each time we go.
