About this property
Renovated Row Home 2Bd 1.5Bth/Free Parking
Welcome to the 2bed 1.5bath apartment with a vintage and industrial modern charm! Located a mile away from the capitol, you can travel to spots in DC by the metro (10 min.walk), a 10-min. Uber ride, or by the Citybike. Free street parking in our resident-zone available with prearrangement. You will find yourself in a cozy neighborhood walking to Whole foods and Trader Joes and enjoying food at the hippest restaurants (Union Market). This place is cleaned by professional cleaning staff.
The space
Originally a home older than 100 years, this place was renovated by a local architect, preserving its vintage charm with an original exposed brick wall, vintage metal cabinets, and repurposed metal frames as shower doors, along with school doors used as room barn doors. It also features contemporary finishes such as large white moldings, wide wood and tile floors, custom welded stairs, and exposed air conditioner ducts.
*Floor Plan*
The entire space is about 1,100 sqft. and spread across two levels. All bedrooms are upstairs, where you'll find tile flooring throughout, while the downstairs features beautiful wide-plank wood flooring. Our spiral staircase adds a fun touch, though it’s a bit narrow.
Self-check-in is facilitated with smart keypad and a code that is always kept personal for each guest.
*Bedrooms*
The King bedroom works best for those looking to relax. It features a king-sized bed, a closet and is equipped with a Smart TV.
The Twin bedroom is perfect for siblings or friends. It includes a twin bed, a trundle bed with two twin mattresses, a Smart TV, and a work area with a desk and chair.
The open kitchen features a large island and is equipped with a food disposal, stainless steel stove, stainless steel tub dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave.
*work space*
There is a dedicated workspace in one bedroom, and you can also work in the cafe-style banquette dining area.
Please note that this is a row home in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Noise should be kept to a minimum. Big or small gatherings, parties, events, and any type of smoking are strictly prohibited. Our place works best for a family or a couple who comes to DC for sightseeing or conferences.
Guest access
This is a totally separate space. Guests would enjoy the entire place themselves.
Other things to note
By reserving our place, you're agreeing to follow our house rules. If these rules aren't followed, your reservation could be cancelled.
This home is very unique as it incorporates reused materials and features that may not be perfectly fitted: a spiral staircase, tiles throughout the second floor, and barn doors that are not custom-fit.
