About this property

Imagine tossing back your bed duvet, and rolling out of your tidy bedroom, through beautiful French doors. Then after strolling into the bright elegant kitchen, settle down with a view of the mountain setting while sipping a hot cup of morning java.

Start your magical day off right with an easy walk up to Patton Valley Vineyard, the vineyard that surrounds your stay. Then, plan on visiting one or more of the hundred premiere wineries in the area. After an incredible rendezvous through stunning wine country tasting the world-class Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, come home to an incredibly peaceful view. Next, start the evening off with an elegant dinner followed by relaxing in front of an academy award winning movie on the Full HD 120" screen with high-end audio acoustics. With a bowl of popcorn in one hand, and a glass of wine from you're favorite visited winery in the other- soak in the entertainment.

Tomorrow, if you're feeling adventurous take a 10 min drive to tree to tree adventure park and zip-line through the air or complete the exciting aerial obstacle courses. For those less adventurous, why not take a refreshing swim in Henry-Hagg lake, or catch a couple of rainbow trout and bass. And then if you're feeling like a change, go take your taste buds for a spin with some premium sake at the tasting room at SakeOne - a 7-minute drive away. Then, come back to your neat, humble abode and cook your freshly caught trout. If not, grill up a burger, or try one of the many local gem restaurants nearby such as Blackdog Bar and Grill, Phil's 1500 subs, or some FG sushi to follow up with the sake theme! There are so many options!

You've enjoyed your stay so much you've decided to try and extend the vacation, and luckily there is a schedule opening. You haven't prepared for such a long vacation and your clothes are dirty, don't fret! Just give them a quick toss in laundry room.

Please note, there are 4 vacation listings on this 1.5 acre property! If you are worried about potential noise, it is encouraged to book both the upstairs & downstairs of the main house, and/or guest house. Each level of the main house is completely separated, with separate entrances, and are joined by a locked door when booked together for the entire main house.

Great vacation home!

This is a quality place to stay with a quiet rural location but close to Portland activities. We took a day trip all the way to Multnomah Falls that was only a 4 hour round trip including lunch and hiking. Really enjoyed the theater room and the comfy bed.

This is a tough one…this space in in the downstairs of someone’s home. So the entire time we were there we heard nothing but little running across the floor. (IT WAS NOT QUIET) So here are the pro’s & con’s… Pro’s Beautiful out of town space in the country Beds were comfortable The kitchenette was beautiful Con’s Not romantic or quiet The internet connection for “the theatre” was extremely poor couldn’t watch anything thru due to constant buffering The cat smell was overwhelming Front door locking problem The property looked like a construction sight

Great space and location to enjoy wine tasting

The property is just as pictured. Beds were comfy. Great kitchen. Enjoyed pizza on the patio after a day of wine tasting. It is a shared space and you do get some noise from upstairs. Didn’t bother us but something to consider. Would love to stay again.

Fantastic Stay!

Stayed here for a wine tasting weekend. The property is fantastic. Very clean and the movie theater room is fantastic. What a great way to relax after a day of wine tasting. Nick and Melissa, the property owners, were incredible and responded to any of our questions almost immediately. I cant recommend this property enough!

Pros -Owner was very responsive to questions, thoughtful, and accommodating -Extremely quiet location with a beautiful view of the valley -Bedroom/Room configuration/amenities match what descriptions/pictures -Affordable rates One item of note is that you are not renting a home, rather you are renting the bottom floor of a nice home. It is private/secure, and though the upstairs occupant (presume owner) are very respectful, there will be some infrequent noise from foot steps and water drains. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of for those that may be sensitive to it.

Wine Country Home

My daughter and I came from Minnesota to experience Oregon Wine Country. Nick and Megan’s property was the perfect home base for us as we visited many of the wineries in the area. The property was spacious for the two of us, the kitchen was fully equipped, although we didn’t make many meals there, we could have! We appreciated having laundry facilities there. We absolutely loved the theater room. Great way to end the day after a long day of wine tasting! We took advantage of the outdoor space for morning coffee time and evening glasses of wine! We loved the peace and quiet and the amazing scenery of farms and vineyards. Make sure to visit the Carlton Bakery for delicious baked goods and friendly service! Loved the Thai restaurant in Forest Grove👍 We would stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

Unique, comfortable, super clean place

We really enjoyed our quick stay at Nick and Megan's place. This is a quaint, cute, super clean and comfortable place. I would have given it a five star if it weren't for the pictures of Vineyard in the description!!! the pictures made me believe we were staying at a place with direct access to a vineyard where we could sit outside and enjoy the views. It wasn't so and that was a little disappointing!! Having said that, we would stay at Nick and Megan's place again, if we ever come this way .

Countryside Gem!

Beautiful views in peaceful countryside, owners who have mastered the art of being very responsive while totally unobtrusive, such bliss! After days spent hiking through Tillamook Forest or the trails of waterfalls in Silver Falls, we watched movies in the theater room. Or we’d visit a vineyard then come back to relax on the patio and enjoy the views. Great week! Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Charming, clean, convenient!

This little place was adorable and the view was gorgeous!!! The house was very clean and spacious. The theater room was a fun touch too. Nick and Megan were easy to communicate with. It is located right next to a great vineyard too (Patton Valley). It’s also very close to McMinnville (30 mins), which has some great restaurants and lots of tasting rooms. Highly recommend staying here!

Great home in a great location!

My family and I had a great time in Gaston and neighboring towns. The house is great! Cozy and clean with berthing anyone would need. Great location as close to many wineries, a beautiful lake, and local towns. Recommend to future travelers.

Beautiful place!

Our family enjoyed this beautiful home. Megan and Nick were so sweet. They welcomed us with a great local bottle of wine and made us feel so welcomed. Our kids really enjoyed the theater room which was an added bonus. Would definitely come back!

Great view, fresh air, and a welcoming retreat

We really enjoyed our stay in Gaston. A fun place to kick back and relax in the theatre room. We cooked a tri-tip on the Traeger and enjoyed it with the complimentary bottle of wine. Megan and Nick were great hosts!

Perfect place for our mini retreat!

Hosts were 100% responsive to all of our needs. Kitchen was perfectly stocked for us to be able to prepare meals. Beds super comfy! Location very serene. Home theater awesome - so worth it! If I'm ever back in the area, will definitely plan to stay here again!

Very clean and spacious. A beautiful serene location, yet close to town.

Megan and Nick were always available if we had a question; and friendly of course too! We stayed here, and the location was literally two minutes down the road from a friend of ours. We'll be back again.

Owners, Nick and Megan, loved growing up in Oregon and decided to build their lives locally after graduating from OSU. They've lived a few different places before settling in Gaston. Immediately, they loved the small town, being away from bigger cities, yet still being close enough to drive to anything they could want.

Nick & Megan purchased this property because it is in the perfect location in wine country. It's peaceful, rural, and plenty of opportunities without being to far removed from the larger cities.

What really makes this property unique is that it's surrounded by Patton Valley Winery and has a great peaceful view of the area. It's got a couple of amenities that are fun like the indoor theater and pond.
