We had a great stay in villa Joglo.

At one point we had problems with the water, called the manager and in the course of an hour problems were resolved. There was water and food brought to a cat that the owner had saved, but unfortunately we did not see the cat. The book with suggestions for restaurants and sights was diligently used. It's a good idea with such a book. We hired the manager to drive us sometimes, and he came with good suggestions for sights and transported us safely around in the chaotic traffic. He is a very Nice person with a great sense of humor. Everything was just great. We had a great stay and if you want to live in that area, we can highly recommend Villa Joglo

Bali neighborhood villa

I've stayed in a few villas in Bali....this is a nice one, but there were a few issues with our stay, most easy for the management to improve upon. The one thing that can't be changed is the location. If you don't have a scooter, you'll have to taxi everywhere. The location is best for someone living and working in Bali. It's not close to anything you could walk to. The tiny road it's on also would make having a car impossible. The villa was nice, clean, nice landscaping and pool. When we arrived there was no soap of any kind in either bathroom, no toilet paper and the kitchen sponge was dirty and old. We called and all were taken care of promptly, but we shouldn't have had to do that on arrival. We were also notified about a cat the day we arrived. Thankfully, no one in my group was allergic, but the kitty kept us up the first night scratching and meowing. We had to feed the cat throughout the day to keep her quiet. We should have been compensated for pet sitting! The kitty also brought us 3 lizards and 1bird which we had to deal with. Unpleasant. Power went out a few times and we had to call when the water pump and hot water went out. We found the circuit breaker so handled that ,and a couple of men came and fixed the water. So, if you want to be in a Bali neighborhood, it's a nice villa with some kinks. For the price, breakfast should have been included.
