About this property
Mountain top chalet with million dollar views on 4 acres
Breath-taking mountain views surround this upscale 2400-sf chalet/cabin sitting on almost 4 private acres and boasting an open floorplan with 2 living rooms, a gas log fireplace, 3BR/3BA (each on separate levels for privacy), pool & ping-pong table, and entertainment areas on 2 levels of covered decks. ALL PAVED ROADS ACCESS.
Large 75-inch TVs in each living room provide the perfect setting for just lounging around the cabin while cooking the perfect meal on the outside flat-top grill. The TVs use Samsung Plus service that provides both live TV and all your favorite streaming apps.
The kitchen has brand new KitchenAid appliances including a convection/microwave, and is stocked with all the cookware, utensils, and spices you’ll need. A Cuisinart coffeemaker, a blender, and crockpot are there so all you need to bring is food.
All paved access roads lead you to our cabin and it is just 6 miles to charming downtown Murphy with its famous River Walk trail, restaurants, and shopping. The Murphy Artwalk, where local artists, vendors and musicians line the streets, is held the first Friday of each month. The Saturday farmers market at the old train depot offers local crafts, fresh vegetables, and baked goods. The second Saturday of each month is the "Shop and Sip" with retailers offering special sales, raffles, and refreshments.
Just another 5 miles outside of town enjoy fun at Harrah’s casino.
Want to learn a new craft? The John C Campbell Folk School in Brasstown is only 8 miles from the cabin and offers over 800 week-long and weekend classes, plus endless music and dancing events.
Hiking at Lake Nottley dam is only 10 miles away. Lake Nottely Marina where you can rent pontoon, fishing or pedal boats is a quick 16 miles. Both Panther Creek and Fires Creek trails/recreation areas are within 20 minutes.
For a day's outing visit Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Andrews, or Hayesville (each within 25 minutes), or one of the many vineyards in the area. Enjoy unique shopping and dining in Blue Ridge or ride the Scenic Railway for a 26 mile journey through the countryside along the Toccoa River.
For the more active, plan a whitewater rafting trip at the Nantahala Outdoor Center just 45 minutes away.
The Biltmore Estate in Asheville is an easy 2-hour drive through the Nantahala National Forest, one of the most beautiful areas you'll see.
The community is basically a 55+ community so you won't be disturbed with loud distractions.
The cabin sits high on a sloping lot and is not child-proof, so please be aware if you choose to bring your little ones that you are doing so at your own risk and must keep an eye on them at all times.
