About this property

Peaceful, cozy, off-grid cabin on a horse farm in the beautiful mountains of VT.

The pond is calling! Whether you come with a group of your best buddies, or for a romantic get-away, there's something for everyone! This is idyllic Vermont- perfect for equine trail riding (bring your own horse only), with limitless other activities: Hiking, biking, swimming, XC skiing, snowmobiling, sledding. Also ideal for relaxing, for those of you who are just looking to unwind in the serenity of the Bunkhouse and its remote surroundings. Come recharge in our comfortable cabin and get away from it all. The pond is perfect for swimming, lounging around, basking in summer’s glory and enjoying a campfire at night while listening to all the sounds of nature. You will definitely hear owls at night and often there are deer grazing in the field. The back deck is perfect for catching the sun rise over the pond while sipping coffee and/or enjoying a cocktail while listening to the birds chirp.

The cozy, western-themed cabin consists of four rooms and sleeps up to eight people. It contains a living room with a couch, chairs and a futon, a fully equipped kitchen for all of your cooking and dining needs, the bunk room with six twin bunks and a double bed, as well as a full bathroom with a stand-up shower.
There is a large deck overlooking the pond with a BBQ grill and table and chairs. A nice fire pit awaits you down by the pond and a picnic table and chairs. If the weather is bad and you're forced inside, enjoy the many games and books we have in the living room.

Our home and the Bunkhouse are located on the same property that consists of 100 acres. Both dwellings are off the grid, solar powered with a generator for back up on cloudy days.
We have horses that you can visit with and even arrange a lesson if you’d like. We have a few walking trails on the property and access toThe state forest nearby for more places to explore.
* There is limitedWi-Fi in the rental and no cell service*
* For guests visiting in the winter- a vehicle with 4wd and good snow or all season tires are required to get here safely. Winter days are unpredictable and the driveway to the Bunkhouse is steep & you’ll need to travel on gravel roads to get here. Get in touch if you have questions!

There is so much to do here... or not do, the choice is yours! I’m always happy to help folks with suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area, or just leave them be to enjoy the peace and quiet. We personally love hanging out by our pond and walking around the property with our dogs, we think our remote life style is great, come give it a try!

Why they chose this property

The quiet peacefulness! Gorgeous scenery and remote living is why we love it here.

What makes this property unique

Our property is truly unique! It’s off the grid but will all the comforts of being on the grid. We are in a remote setting so the peace and quiet just unreal! WiFi is limited which makes people unplug and really enjoy the moment and be present- a gift we love giving to folks. Although there is better internet these days for people. Wedding to be in touch with the outside world. There’s lots of land to explore and we have many animals to enjoy both domestic and wild and the icing on the cake is our pond. It’s perfect for swimming and hanging out by. Our guest love it and so do we!
