Two further bedrooms upstairs, 1 twin & 1 double . The front upstairs bedroom has a balcony with amazing views out to sea, a fold up bed is available for an extra child. Further bathroom upstairs, bath, shower, & WC. A private 'sun trap' rear garden & front garden.

5 min drive from Blue Flag beaches. Historic Conwy with its medieval Castle, quaint streets and many tourist attractions is just 3 miles away. LLandudno with it's Victorian promenade & seaside facilities is only 5 miles away. Perfect for walking & hiking with Snowdonia National park nearby. Only a few minutes drive from major resorts.

There are several restaurants nearby. Free WIFI throughout the cottage.

Sunsets over the bay of Conwy: The front Mediterranean style garden overlooks the sea & is private so guests can sit out in the evening & watch the most amazing sunsets over the bay of Conwy & Puffin Island.

The rear garden is a real summer sun trap & has lovely views to the mountains behind & the sea in front. It is private & sheltered & has a BBQ for guests use on those evenings that make a holiday special. Outdoor furniture is provided.

Within walking distance are sandy 'Blue Flag' beaches with activities going on throughout the year. Penmaenmawr sailing club has activities and sailing courses for those with a more active nature.

For a change of scenery, guests can also eat at our other gastro pub, the Castle View in Deganwy LL31 9TH. Just across the river from Conwy, about 10 minutes drive from the cottage, the Castle View overlooks the Conwy estuary, with views to Conwy Castle and Conwy Marina. Guests also receive a 10% discount on all meals served at the Castle View.

There are two parking places in front of the cottage for use of guests.

The Gladstone next door is NOT in our ownership, but guests of the cottage can receive 10% discount on food, please mention that you are staying at the cottage when booking.

If you’re shopping or sightseeing in Conwy, pop down to Conway quay, through the Castle walls and you’ll find our own quayside pub the Liverpool Arms. The smallest and oldest pub in Conwy right on the harbour. Sit and take the weight off whilst having a drink enjoying the fabulous view over the Conway river with the beach only a pebbles throw away. We don’t do food but we have a great range of cask ales and beers, together with a large choice of specialty gins and wines.

Lovely cottage with wonderful seaviews
We stayed for a long weekend as a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is really well located for local transport - road, rail and bus which we utilised fully. The area surrounding the cottage is hard to beat as it is in easyreach of Conwy, Bangor and Snowdonia. The cottage itself has everything needed for a gteat stay. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very nice cottage
All in all, it was a lovely stay. Everything that you would need. Very well equipped. Just a couple of things that need upgrading. One of the sofas in the lounge. The springs are hanging at the bottom from the back and found it very difficult to get up from. Especially if you’re not as young anymore. The tv in the main bedroom (downstairs) didn’t work. Didn’t spoil our stay, we moved some chairs in to the lounge from the dining room. Great views from all windows. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend and return in future.

Wonderful House and Location!
This house was perfect for us and has a beautiful view of the ocean from the dining room and two of the bedrooms. Wonderful for our family with kids and grandma. Very convenient location right next to a great restaurant and pub, and close to everything we wanted to see in North Wales.

Welsh family holiday
Visually property was fine. Plenty of space for family. Secure garden for dogs. Could be doing with upstairs front room having complete window blackout. Downstairs bedroom entry door would not close. Door between porch and lounge would only close with great difficulty. Downstairs Toilet door would only open with great difficulty. All in all property in need of some maintenance. None of the above were serious enough to spoil our holiday. Staff at Gladstone pub next door were extremely helpful. Food excellent with a warm welcome. Would not hesitate to return.

Good location
We chose this property because it had a down stairs ensuite bedroom for my elderly parents. However it is worth noting that there are two small sets of stairs to get to the front door but there is a handrail so it was manageable for us plus the private car parking area is very close to the front door. The accomodation worked well for us in terms of location and facilities. There are lovely views of the hills to the rear of the property and views to the sea at the front, although this was across the Expressway. There are garden areas which we enjoyed. Also there is a pub next door which was handy if we didn't want to drive. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would use the property again - it worked well for our family needs.

Holiday home in penmemwar
We arrived at the property and we were very impressed by the size of the house. We took our elderly mother with us and apart from a few steps up to the house it was perfect for her. The bedroom downstairs with the en suite had lovely views out over the coast which mum loved very much. There is a small secure garden which catches the sun and was perfect to sit out in and ideal for our dog.the kitchen had everything we needed, the living room was spacious and it also has a dining area to eat at. Upstairs there was a bedroom with 2 single beds my grandson was very comfortable in but our bedroom just really was the best with an outside balcony overlooking the beach. We had a bathroom with a shower and a bath for us to use. We had a fantastic few days and will certainly book the property again in the future. Thankyou lance scally for the easy communication between us when i had questions to ask about the property. A beautiful place to stay everything you need to make a great holiday perfect positioning to visit the local areas and a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach.

A lovely place
The cottage is large and well appointed and the views are fantastic,if it wasn't for the lack of cleanliness on arrival I would of given a five star rating.there were three dog poos in the garden and the bathrooms, particularly the toilets obviously hadn't been cleaned in sometime.its only a minor blot on what would otherwise have been a lovely place to stay.conwy in general is beautiful and we would definitely like to come back again In the future

The above picture is of the family enjoying a Caribbean evening at the Gladstone.
Plas Arfon Cottage is a family owned rental and part of our family business. The Castle View in Deganwy. This is an award winning bar/restaurant serving traditional & modern food. Also the Liverpool Arms, directly on the waterfront in Conwy old town is a recent addition to the portfolio. This traditional old world tavern is the oldest and smallest pub in Conwy. Well worth a visit, after an enjoyable day's sightseeing or shopping, relax whilst taking in the river views from the outside seating area.
We have lived in and around North Wales all our lives and have been in the hospitality industry for as long as we can remember. All the children grew up in the industry and as yet can't see that would change. (until the old man retires that is!)

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property some 12 years ago to compliment our bar restaurant business next door and to take advantage of the amazing location. We spent the next 2 years converting it into a stylish 3 bedroom house with every modern convenience for visitors to enjoy.
We have found that our cottage guests enjoy having a bar and restaurant near to site and they take advantage of the facilities of the Gladstone. Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus situation the Gladstone is closed until further notice.
