About this property
Stylish waterfront 2 bedroom condo in Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure
Within Rumbling Bald Gates, walk to resort amenities, enjoy quiet lakefront and mountain views-
Revive Lakeside offers a newly remodeled, first-time-on the rental market chance to kick back and enjoy your vacation. Located one unit away from the fishing pier and grilling/picnic area of Bald Mountain Lake, you can swim from shore or rent kayaks/paddle boards and explore. Fairway Holes 1, 9, and 18 are across from the front porch, with a towering view of the Bald Mountain ridge just beyond that. Majestic mountains continue around back, rising above the tranquil lake to give you the “instant peace” feeling many of us crave.
This two-bedroom, two-bath condo includes new pillowtop Serta mattresses with remote controlled head and feet adjustments. The lakeside bedroom suite features a King bed, desk (that can be adjusted for standing or sit-down use), three dressers and extra organization in the closet. The 50” flat screen tv is on an adjustable wall mount. A neutral color palette, throwback pendants, and retro-toned pictures of North Carolina help to make the primary haven an easy transition into and out of the day. Watch the fog rise above the lake with a cup of coffee in the morning or unwind with a glass of wine in the evening on the balcony’s “table for two.”
The second bedroom suite features a view of Bald Mountain, an adjustable queen bed with woven leather headboard, and a log-home style bunk bed with two twin mattresses. An oversized lounging couch is set up with TV across from it for a very comfy secondary hangout space. The mountain room also features a clothes washer and dryer with chevron wood surround (doubles as folding table). Vintage fishing gear and coordinating wallpaper lend a gentle mountain vibe. In this room and throughout the home, find books and board games for some added fun.
Soaring vaults of moody blue in the living and kitchen area have been designed with vintage photos and memorabilia of activities which can be done in and around the resort (golf, tennis, rowing, water- and snow-skiing) as well as a curated selection of North Carolinian Greats, many of whom fall in the sports’ category. Melt into the caramel leather couch or enjoy one of the two swivel gliding armchairs from High Country Furniture. A 75” flatscreen is adjustable and wall-mounted above the electric fireplace. Cable is provided through Dish Network and the unit includes WiFi. Munch on meals from the table in the living area overlooking the lake, visit with the cook from the counter-height swivel stools located on the movable island, or cozy up at the bistro table in the kitchen.
The kitchen features a natural stone backsplash, black stainless-steel appliances, and platinum leathered quartzite counters. Find everything you need to prepare and serve meals behind soft-close cabinetry doors and deep drawers. Pottery inspired plates, bowls and mugs in Blue Ridge Mountain tones bring the outside in. The coffee bar features a wall-mount pot filler for your convenience. The coffee maker provides single serve or full pot brewing options.
The foyer has another desk (with mountain view) for your convenience, the back deck a waterfront lounging area for five, and the front porch provides two rocking chairs and a loveseat bench. There are plenty of spots for your family or group of friends to spread out and enjoy spectacular North Carolina. A highchair, deluxe pack ‘n play, and drawer of kid friendly dishes/sippy cups are available for those traveling with little ones. Each bathroom has a tub/shower combo as well as new vanities, mirrors, lighting/fan fixtures, faucets, Kohler toilets, and floor tile.
The condo stay includes guest passes to get into the resort’s gym (weights and cardio), full-service salon & spa (online menu of massages, hair, face & nail treatments can be found at www.rumblingbald.com ), indoor & outdoor pool areas, hot tub, and other featured amenities. If you’re not out golfing on one of the two championship courses, you can enjoy tennis, pickleball, basketball, life-size chess and checkers, corn hole games, a mini-golf course (mini-golf has a small extra fee), kids’ playground and the beach.
To note: 720-acre Lake Lure (named by National Geographic as one of the Top 10 most beautiful man-made lakes in the world) is still receiving daily work to get it back to its gorgeous, pre-hurricane state… because of this, boating to explore the 27 miles of coastline will probably not be available this summer of 2025, but there is a possibility the Rumbling Bald beach may eventually open. Regardless, 4th of July and Labor Day fireworks are still planned, whether from the lake or possibly moved to the golf course if lake levels are still down, and the views from Legends on the Lake restaurant are always breathtaking. Rumbling Bald boasts 40 miles of hiking trails, but there are some currently closed as trees are being moved off walking paths. Bald Mountain Lake (behind the condo) was tested and has returned to its pre-hurricane water quality levels. Some downed trees along the shoreline will continue to be removed, but people have been out kayaking and paddle boarding (this is a non-motorized watercraft lake). North Carolina is so grateful for your patience and continued patronage as many things are now reopened post-Helene, but some will require a little more work to make them better than ever. Fingers-crossed, Chimney Rock State Park will also make the list of re-openings this year.
Nearby places to visit include Asheville, which is a pleasant mountain drive of about 50 minutes. (Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures opens at Biltmore’s Amherst at Deerpark March 21st.) Blowing Rock, Little Switzerland, Linville Falls, Crabtree Falls, Black Mountain and many Blue Ridge Parkway stops are nice day trips. Currently, the Chimney Rock shops are located in the Tryon Equestrian Center. Legends on the Lake Restaurant and Bar (offering a beautiful water view) and the Bear Paw Café/Starbucks are located on the Rumbling Bald campus (located about a ½ mile walk from the unit- around the fairway and down picturesque wooden bridges on Mountains Blvd). Hours of operation vary by season and can be found on the Rumbling Bald website. Golf carts are available for rent during your stay as well. Other restaurants are within 5-10 or 20+ minutes, depending on what catches your fancy that day. Easiest airports to travel to and from your vacay would be Asheville (about 50 mins), Charlotte (less than 2 hours), or Greenville, SC (just over an hour).
If you’re here for a wedding at Rumbling Bald, the new ceremony site is a short walk from the condo. Two parking spaces are available for the unit with additional unmarked parking spaces across from those. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash can be found in each shower. First morning’s coffee is on us, and we offer a paper towel roll, garbage bags, and dishwashing soap/detergent for your convenience as well as an extra roll of TP in each bathroom to help get you started on a great getaway in the Blue Ridge. Relax, revive, and then explore all that Western North Carolina has to offer with the added bonus of resort amenities and gated access.
