Heather Cove Cottage sits on the shores of Union Bay, with a wonderful, shallow inlet perfect for swimming, beach combing and skipping stones. The shore is more sandy than rocky, with a mix of pebbles & sand.

This 4 bedroom, 3 bath home sits on a quiet lane off the main road just far enough off the beaten track for relaxing, yet just about 20 minutes to Acadia National Park and apprx. 30 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor. With a flat (no steps) and mostly sandy shore, you can enjoy swimming or sitting & relaxing. This is a great walking beach! The shallow waters allow the sun to warm the water - perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, And of course the AMAZING sunsets!

Heather Cove Cottage has an open floor plan with kitchen/dining/living area with oversized windows providing stunning views, allowing you take-in the beautiful sunsets. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the accessories, knives, pots, pans, cutlery - for family cooking with ease. Deck off the kitchen has dining and grill.

There are 2 HDTV's each with a Blu-ray Player and streaming access to your favorite TV/movie services like Amazon or Netflix. Basic Cable TV is also connected and there is fast Wi-Fi that can support several devices at one time.

In the basement, you'll find a ping pong table so you can have fun on rainy days too!

FEE INFO: Base rate is for 8 people, with a maximum of 8. Please let us know if you have young children (under 3) putting the number of guests over 8. NO PETS.

Outside, the Fire Pit is the spot for nighttime relaxing and stargazing. A short, groomed path provides easy, flat access to the beach, and you can walk quite a ways in either direction at low tide.

Heather Cove Cottage sleeps up to 8 comfortably and is the perfect size for 2 small families, a group of friends, or a multi-generational gathering. There are 4 Bedrooms - 2 on the first floor. 3 Full Baths. Linens, towels, pillows, and other amenities are provided.

All bedrooms and loft area have wall-to-wall carpet. Here is a summary:

On the 1st floor:
--Master bedroom with Queen bed, walk-in closet, and bathroom with shower, each with a stunning direct view to the water.
--Bedroom #2 has two Twin XL beds, comfortable for adults and kids. Large closet.
--Hallway bath has stand-up shower, laundry. Hallway linen closet stows towels & beach towels.

Upstairs on the 2nd floor:
-- Bedroom #3 - roomy with Queen bed, closet
-- Bedroom #4 - roomy with 2 Twin XL beds - comfy for adults or kids alike, closet.
