Cozy home close to campus!
We stayed at The University House while visiting my son at TCU. Sharon was so kind and helpful and even turned the heat on early to warm the house for our arrival (due to a crazy cold snap). The house was very cute, well stocked and very close to campus. It felt like home away from home. It’s on a busy street but it’s quiet at night and we all had a great night of sleep in the comfortable beds. I will definitely try to stay here again when visiting my son.

Everything was great. Plenty of little extras to make your stay comfortable. Parking is a little tricky, but doable in a truck. Great location just a few minutes from Dickies. Would stay again.

Little Blue House
Sharon is the nicest! She checked on us before heading up due to the winter storm. The house was beautiful. It’s an old solid wood home with plenty of charm. The heater was fantastic and I loved the curtains in all the bedrooms.

Comfortable and Cozy
We enjoyed our stay at University House. There was comfortable furniture with plenty of seating. The beds were nice. It includes all of the amenities one would need and there was plenty of extra toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues. The location was perfect, as it was easy and quick to get to anywhere in Fort Worth.

Great place if visiting TCU
Everything was great and the only reason I gave it a 4 was because of the smell. Nothing related to cleanliness, just older home possibly?

TCU Graduation
I’ve been wanting to stay at the Blue House since my daughter was a TCU freshman. Finally booked the place for college graduation! Loved the house and great location especially since my daughter lived across the street. This kitchen is well stocked which was a pleasant surprise- I packed everything from home because recently the places I’ve booked so often don’t even have a baggie or a piece of foil. Not here it is a well stocked kitchen and there was even half and half! Just how I drink my coffee. The beds were comfy and we all slept well after celebrating our Horned Frog Graduate! So happy we stayed right by campus had room to spread out and enjoy the weekend. Highly recommend! Only regret is that I didn’t book this place sooner and enjoy all 4 yrs,

Adorable Craftsman Home
This is a lovely home with lots and lots of character. Original floors, windows and built ins make you feel like you're at grandma's house. Its roomy, spacious and there are lots of personal touches around the house, like autographed movie posters and artwork. Great location for a Fort Worth visit. We will be back.

Great little getaway with easy freeway access
The house was exactly what we needed for our eclipse trip! Plenty of room for us to relax, comfortably furnished and a well appointed kitchen. Hostess left a much welcomed pitcher of cold water in the fridge for us and a binder with info on the area and local eateries. Easy access to freeways and a quiet neighborhood at night. Would definitely recommend!

Great house near TCU
This was a great house for our girls weekend. Its location is great! We enjoyed walking to campus to see how much it's changed since we were students there. The house was a clean and comfortable place for us to relax and catch up. We didn't cook (too many great places to eat in FW!), but the kitchen appeared to be well-stocked. I was a little unsure about backing out of the driveway onto a busy street, but we had zero problems with it. Would be a great place to stay for football games/family weekend/graduation.

Wonderful bungalow with everything we needed, close to TCU
This is a charming, well-organized bungalow close to TCU, with two bedrooms, and absolutely everything a guest could need. The host even overnighted a coffee bean grinder for us! The home is tastefully filled with books and art, but done in such a way to leave plenty of room for our items. University drive is somewhat noisy, but we had been forewarned and brought earplugs, so we were fine. Overall, one of the best guest stays I have ever had. We were there for two weeks, and enjoyed the walks, dining, campus life, and quiet, comfortable reading spaces. Most highly recommend Sharon’s place.

FW Stock Show and Rodeo
The most wonderful little house!! (I say little because it was very “homey”, but actually tons of room!) From the second we walked in, it felt like home to our tired stock show family. Great location, clean, charming, and personal touches were perfect. We will be back for a fun weekend of the zoo and Botanical gardens or a girls weekends with my classmates. Thank you!

About the host

Host profile image
I'm a native of Ft. Worth, TCU alum, love travel, museums, art, music, hiking, driving across the country, reading, cooking and spending time with family, friends and my dogs Alfie and Scooter. My husband and I are retired and spend time traveling to visit our children and grandchildren. We love to stay in Airbnb properties - we feel like we get a better understanding and appreciation for the town instead of staying in an institutional feeling hotel.

Why they chose this property

I've lived in this neighborhood both in my childhood and as an adult with my own family for many years. I purchased several homes in the neighborhood as investments. I like to remodel and update older homes. The University House had been a rental for many years until we decided to move into it ourselves for a brief period. After our experiences in other places staying in Airbnb rentals - we decided to set University House up for short-term rentals so others could enjoy the great location and a stay in a vintage home instead of a hotel. We love this neighborhood and all the unique offerings nearby: TCU events, bike trail, restaurants, zoo, museums, downtown, Magnolia, W. 7th, and of course the great shopping at University Village.
