Private Cottage near national park

Newly renovated two bedroom chalet situated at the base of the mountains near the national park and the famous gypsum mine quarry from 1911.Our chalet has its own private driveway and parking.
Just 5 mins away from the village of cheticamp ,local restaurants, groceries store ,local music ,etc.
Hiking trails leaving from our cottage will lead you to the artificial lake from the mining dating back from 1911 to 1939.
The National Park is only minutes away where you can explore the beauty of our famous Cabot Trail along with more hiking trails including the popular Skyline.

Cute cabin

Wonderful place with great kitchen, living room and both bedrooms were comfortable and great mattresses. Super clean and tidy! Only suggestion would be tv access instructions. Not everyone does streaming.

Lovely little chalet very close to the Highlands Natl Park

Marcel and Angela were lovely hosts who guided us by car to this lovely chalet. Clean and with all amenities needed, we enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the evening. It’s an easy 10 minute drive to the National Park and also easy 10 minutes to town for dinner and shopping. Highly recommend!

Great spot!! Exactly as listed.

We have stayed at many spots found on VRBO and this is one of the better ones. Very clean, exactly as listed and if you want a quiet local, this is it. The only thing better would be if a bear or moose walked by the front porch while I read my book! The quarry nearby was great as well as the proximity to Cape Breton.

Perfectly located for hiking and exploration of the Cheticamp area the cottage was as described — comfortable, clean, quiet and private. We enjoyed our stay; hosts provided clear information and gracious welcome. Easy access to restaurants, shops, coastal experiences.

Cute cabin in the woods

Nicely kept stand alone cabin just outside Cheticamp. Conveniently located near Cape Breton National Park and local restaurants. Hosts met us in town and guided us to the cabin.

Family reunion

We visited Cheticamp for my family reunion and this property was the perfect quiet getaway. The area was lovely. So quiet and close to the gypsum mine swimming pond that we visited with a group of my cousins. We were there during a heat wave but the heat pump kept the place nice and cool. Our only difficulty was the water pressure was low in the shower, hard to rinse off after a day at the beach and had a strong iron and sulfur smell so we opted to drink bottled water The owners were very friendly and quick to respond to messages. Cell service is not great in Cheticamp in general so having wifi was great.

Wonderfulness in the Woods

Such a great property. Marcel and Angela provided a very clean, well built and well appointed lodging. The beds were firm offering a great night's sleep for exploring the area the next day. We will stay there again if we come to the area and will certainly tell all of our friends if they are traveling to Cheticamp to book the LeBron camp!!

Beautiful!

Had a great time. Location is close to town but very private. Chalet is lovely with plenty of amenities. Short easy hike to amazing gypsum mine. Tons of stars at night. Hosts are very sweet. Definitely recommend!

Private getaway

Owners were super friendly and accommodating. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, more than I had even expected. It was immaculate. The location was amazing. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful area. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Terrific!

Highly recommend this quiet cottage! Easy access to Chéticamp and the national park. We do suggest packing drinking water and paper products. Oh, and the Keurig should be ditched for a drip coffee maker. Keurigs are environmentally a poor choice, and the coffee not very good. We used our own coffee in the refillable pods. But this is a terrific place!

Charming cottage

It’s a wonderful place situated very close to the National park and Cheticamp. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly! I would absolutely stay here again.

Well Equipped, Clean and Peaceful

The cabin is lovely and equipped with everything you might need (and nearly want!) from a Keurig coffee maker to Alexa to Netflix. Not that you are traveling to do all your "at home" things, but it is nice to have them anyway! Clean, lovely, out-of-the-way but convenient to National Park and Cheticamp. Marcel and Angela were highly responsive and very pleasant to work with. Wish we had booked at least one more night!

Peaceful solitude near Cheticamp

This cabin is perfect for up to four people. It is off the beaten path but still close to restaurants and Cape Breton National Park. The cabin has Netflix and other entertainment options, and the cabin was clean on arrival. It even has a nice Alexa device for listening to music. I would recommend against doing the hike to the quarry lake after recent rain as parts of the trail can get muddy, but the lake is pretty and worth going to if no recent rain. We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin!

Propre et bien décoré

Nous avons été bien accueilli, le chalet est bien décoré et propre il ne manque de rien le seul reproche c`est le prix un peu exagéré pour ma fille son conjoint et 2 enfants de 5ans et 7ans qui était avec leur campeur, on a eu un surplus de 80$ par nuit.

This is a very remote property. Not much to do if you're not into hiking.

We got along fine but would have expected more. There were no outdoor games and my husband is not much of a walker so we didn't spend much time here. The property is very remote.

Quiet, Enjoyable Stay in Beautiful Chéticamp

From meeting the wonderful hosts to staying in the beautiful chalet which had everything we needed, we thoroughly enjoyed our quiet & relaxing stay in Cape Breton! While tucked away in a private, natural landscape, the chalet was close to everything we needed: the gypsum mine quarry & ocean beaches for swimming, restaurants, Aucoin Bakery with their delicious baked goods, the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and more. While at the chalet, we really enjoyed making some home cooked meals & stargazing by the fire. We had a wonderful stay in Chéticamp!

Sweet cottage in a great location

My friend and I stayed here for two nights and loved the location. We had a nice walk on the path to the Gypsum Mine and enjoyed a swim. We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the chalet being close to the Highlands and also town. The chalet was very clean and sweet! Beautiful yard and very peaceful. The owners were lovely. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend!

Lovely Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. The location was very private. We were able to walk to the Gypsum Mine lake, which our children enjoyed. The property was very well kept. If you are in the area I would recommend this location.
