SUMMARY

Aspens #428 is a 3-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom condo with easy access to the village, ski-in, ski-out and the new high-speed Blackcomb Gondola. Located on the 4th floor at The Aspens and offering 1,300 sq.ft. of comfortable living, this unit will make you feel right at home. Enjoy the quiet and peaceful balcony with your morning coffee or BBQing up dinner surrounded by beautiful trees. An open concept kitchen and dining room make it easy to keep the conversation going while dinner is being made. The kitchen features custom built cabinets, granite countertops and a convection microwave (no oven). Sit back and relax on the leather couches, enjoying the gas fireplace, order in some take-out food and maybe pop in a movie to completely unwind.

Walk into the lobby after a day on the mountain and be greeted by your ski valet who will happily collect your skis or boards and store them securely for you! Grab a pool towel from the front desk and hit up the Hot Tub & Pool area for full relaxation or to wind down after a long day on the slopes! There is also a gym on site if you decide to do some indoor exercise! A communal coin operated laundry facility room also available.

A short five-minute walk takes you to the Blackcomb village which features many wonderful restaurants, cafes, and shops. If walking everywhere is not your thing, there is a free shuttle bus that passes out front every 10 minutes and drops you off right at the base of both mountains.
*PLEASE NOTE* If you require parking, you must purchase your parking pass from the machine in the lobby entrance (approx. $25 per day) and then park underground.

BEDROOMS

The primary bedroom offers a queen bed, en-suite bathroom, and TV. The 2nd bedroom also offers a queen bedroom and access to the shared balcony. The 3rd bedroom offers a king bed or two twin beds. Both bathrooms are equipped with rain shower heads and Italian tiles.

The 50% deposit will be due 60 days prior to arrival, with remaining balance due 30 days prior to arrival. These payments are non-refundable once processed.

Aspens stay
Our stay at Aspens was good! It has a bit of an odd layout - you have to go through bedrooms to get to the patio for the Bbq. And The patio chairs are outdated. The beds are comfortable and good sheets/duvets. Stayed here for 5 nights in the summer. Some days were quite warm and windows. were a bit odd to open. but there are several fans, some work better than others. One hairdryer did not work for us. Access to the blackcomb village is a short walk down/up the slope- in the summer it worked out okay. Biking from here was easy too but a hard for kids to get back up. One wish would have been for more amenitites. We only had coffee for 2 mornings. Would have been nice to have coffee foe each morning. Coffee shop is a trek to get down and up the mountain. They did offer laundry soap which was a nice bonus. The kitchen is a bit small for more than 1 person. And it only has a convention oven the same size as a microwave.

Great location, unfortunate issues
The place is overall great - we really enjoyed the hot tub and the ski in ski out experience. It’s all very nice and walkable to the village and restaurants. Unfortunately as soon as we arrived in our first evening we found that one bathroom was unusable (toilet and shower were clogged). The situation took rather long to fix and we had to spend as a group of six 3 nights without one of the bathrooms - which we found uncomfortable and generated queues to shower after skiing. When we discovered the issue on the evening of our arrival, we tried to use the emergency phone number provided by the host in the email but it was disabled and only worked during business hours (despite being described as emergency 24/7). Not being able to reach the host until next day felt quite bad in terms of communication. I felt like a better due diligence and inspection could have been done to detect this issue before our arrival and resolve it more timely. The host was rather reactive and didn’t even proactively offer a discount for this issue or any kind of accommodation - eventually they negotiated to 20% of our nightly rate refund for 3 nights when we were impacted. One of the TVs wasn’t working either, but our group didn’t really care about this. Overall, I would stay again at this location/condo complex. I expect that this was a somewhat rare and unusual circumstance rather than a pattern.

Our family loved our stay at this condo. Everything was comfortable, we used the stovetop everyday in the kitchen. Quiet, private section of the building. Walk-in, out from the slopes. The hot tubs were great after skiing. Aloha was easy to communicate with, and they were helpful with questions.

I was pleasantly surprise to have the ski rental shop and ski valet all in house, location of this condo is fantastic, no car needed for a week, the condos themselves are not as luxurious a I was expecting and but functional. Aloha Whistler was most responsive.

Great Spot For A Ski Vacation
We booked The Aspens upon recommendation from a colleague, and could not have been more pleased. It is a true ski-in ski-out location on Blackomb Mountain. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were great. The kids and adults enjoyed the spacious hot tubs after skiing. I traveled with my daughter and we brought my daughter's friend and her dad. The condo we stayed in was perfect for us with three bed rooms, including a bedroom with twin beds for the girls.. We cooked meals in and ate out - the condo was convenient for both, with groceries and restaurants just a short walk away. And the skiing was spectacular. Overall, a wonderful trip.

Aspens unit 248
We spent 10 nights at Aspens and our stay was amazing. This is a really ski in - out condo, very close to Blackcomb base and a few minutes walk from Whistler base. The resort facilities are very good, including the pool, hot tubs and ski rental shop. Unit 248 was very comfortable and appropriate to receive 6 adults, however we detected many details that are not according to the level of the property and that require improvement. Mattresses, pillows and bedding are outdated and of poor quality. Several of the lamps and lights did not work Kitchen appliances are few and old (the smoke extractor on the stove is very noisy and does not work) Rooms carpets are worn and outdated

Spacious unit in need of upgrades
Loved the location of the The Aspens! This unit in The Aspens is quiet and spacious, and the kitchen is well-equipped to facilitate meal preparation. However, it is in need of some basic upgrades to enhance its enjoyment. To list a few basic upgrades: a) new bedding [e.g.. duvet in master bedroom is lumpy and has a musty odour]; b) new plumbing [e.g. drainage in the master bedroom ensuite sink is very slow, and the second bathroom toilet continues to hum after flushing for an extended period]; c) new carpeting or addition of rugs in the bedrooms [to cover the small stains in Master bedroom and the twin bedroom]; d) new surface light on the stove as it is burnt out; and e) addition of bathrobes and slippers in the master bedroom ensuite. It is not yet a "luxury" unit although it could easily be made into one!

Wonderful Unit and location
My family of 6 adults totally enjoyed our time at this unit. Listing accurate. Living and dining room particularly comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised by how well equipped the kitchen was. Wonderful trip
I recently took my 2 boys and 2 of their friends to Whistler for the August long weekend. The accommodations at the Aspens were perfect for us. Plenty of room for sleeping, eating and watching TV. We did bring our Xbox to watch Netflix and was happy the TV was compatible. The BBQ was also easy to use. The location was perfect, out door pool right there and a short walk to the upper village. The directions to the location were great and when I forgot the key code, after 9pm, Dulce called me back within 5 minutes to provide the code again. I would definitely recommend this location and Aloha Whistler.
