Oceanfront Vacation Home - Lagun, Curaçao

This seafront vacation home is located in the small fisherman's village Lagun, at the quiet west-side of the island. You can take a splash into the crystal clear Caribbean sea right from your own private stairway. It's also on walking distance of just a few minutes from the beautiful Lagun Beach. Every evening you can enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Caribbean Sea from your own terrace.

The property offers all the luxury and amenities you’ll need for a perfect and relaxed vacation. Indoors the house offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped luxury kitchen, a living room, a laundry room and a porch with dining-, bar area. Outdoors there’s a veranda in front of the house facing the beautiful hills, a lounge area overseeing the ocean, a bar & BBQ, outside bathroom & shower and scuba diving facilities. Last but certainly not least there's a staircase that leads you down to the clear blue sea for some swimming, snorkeling, diving or maybe just to relax and listen to the sound of the ocean of do some fishing.

Guests will have complete access to the entire home with the exception of some personal closet space from the owners. For privacy and security, the property is completely surrounded by walls and fences.

The owners live on Curaçao and depending on time and availability like to personally welcome their guests to the island. Guests will always get a complete explanation of the property at arrival. During your stay the owners will be available to answer questions and they will come by if needed.

Wonderful Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing vacation home. Bart was so kind to meet as at the house, walked us around and answered all of our questions. We loved that this home is located on the quiet part of the island. It is close enough to drive to various sights but it’s truly serene with incredible views of the ocean. The home is very well appointed and was immaculately clean. The beds are very comfortable, the A/C in the bedrooms was perfect, there are plenty of towels, dishes, and pots. We didn’t have any luck with finding great restaurants, so we ended up using the grill for most our stay. The California supermarket or the Carrefour in Willemstad have great selections of seafood and meats. If you’re looking to unplug, snorkel right off the back deck, or simplu enjoy the trade winds, this is your vacation rental. We booked an all-day catamaran trip with Blue Fins to Klein Curacao (lunch and free bar included) and would definitely recommend it. The crew was fabulous, the island’s waters and ship wrecks were amazing. We are looking forward to our next stay at this winderu vacation home.

Lagun Gem
We loved the location and cleanliness of this property. You can't beat the snorkeling right in the "backyard". Walk 5 min to Lagun beach. Beds very comfortable and had basic necessities like cooking oil, coffee, spices, etc. Make sure to bring some mosquito spray. With sunset views, one of the best places we've stayed at!

Stunning property!
We absolutely loved our stay here — Bart has an incredible home right on the water with cliffside access to the ocean. The sunsets were incredible from his house. We loved our location away from the hustle and bustle of Willemstad. It was in close proximity to beaches and the national park. The pictures don’t do it justice, to be honest. Can be a bit buggy at night inside — but is great overnight in the bedroom with A/C! If you’re on the fence, just book it! It’s awesome!

Bart was an amazing host. Very professional, to the point, punctual and respectful. His property is everything you can imagine for a dream getaway. Perfect vacation
The property was impressive, even better than we expected: location, the size of the property, the details, and of course, the view. If you’re looking for privacy and beautiful surroundings, that’s a place for you. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and swimming in gorgeous blue and warm water. I would recommend this property and would love to come back and spend my next vacation in this house.

a beautiful gem in the Carribean!
Bart and his family provide the most beautiful villa for their guests. We have never been in such a well maintained property, everything was flawless and we cannot wait to get back! Thanks a lot for having us and letting us spend a wonderful time! The sunsets are amazing and the best thing is - you can watch them just on your very own porch or from the water, if you want to go for a quick dip.

Great open air llhouse on ocean
Loved the house and all the modern amenities. Was able to climb down ladder to ocean behind the house. Snorkeling/swimming was great fun and so easily accessible. The living room/ kitchen /dining room are open air and with the cross winds, it felt very tropical. However, be prepared for mosquitoes. I am a mosquito attractant and had to spray down while inside the house. Partner is not bothered by mosquitoes and had a great time.

This place is great, clean, well equipped and un-complicated. Bart was easy to communicate with. Kitchen was well equipped we enjoyed cooking looking out at the Caribbean. The snorkelling off the back was amazing so make sure to bring your snorkel. Thanks for a great stay, we loved the island and can’t wait to go back

Curacao Paradise
Our stay in Curacao was so amazing we did not want to go home. The property is spotless, the views of the ocean are fantastic. Almost every morning I watched a tuna feeding frenzy from the kitchen window. Rainbows appear like magic. Access to THE most amazing snorkeling right from back on the large patio area. Grilling outside for dinner on the huge back patio. This was our second year there and it just keeps getting better. The Host/owner is fantastic. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay in Lagun, Curacao.

An AMAZING Home!
We stayed at this amazing property for 7 nights, and it was spectacular! Bart was so helpful helping us get in late due to delays with the airlines. House was beautiful, location was great- away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. Plus, you can jump right in the water from the back of the house! The house was stocked well with every thing you could need- including beach chairs, floats, etc. I highly recommend walking over to Discover Lagun restaurant, chef Robbert is GREAT!! Go on Wednesdays for all you can eat grilled fish and meat. PLus it is steps away from the beach at Playa Lagun. The house is located near all the best beaches- Grote Knip, Jeremi, Porto Mari, Kalki, Cas Abou- they were all so beauitful! Bart was a fabulous host, and I hope we can return again soon!

The Perfect Beach House!
Just returned from an amazing week at this beautiful home! My husband, son, and I enjoyed everything about this place and the location. The owner was very accommodating and made the whole process a breeze. Everything was perfect and I wish I could give it more than five stars, highly recommend it!

Absolute perfect vacation get away
My husband and I have traveled extensively around the Caribbean Islands over the last 25 years and I have to say hands down this has been the best VRBO and Island experience we have ever had. The home that we rented was extremely well stocked with everything we needed, from wine openers, beach towels, beautiful cookware, super comfortable beds, air conditioning in the bedrooms, gorgeous ocean views from the entire back of the home, ocean access right out the back door with amazing snorkeling right there. There is an outdoor bathroom and shower facility so you can go right from your ocean snorkeling adventure and shower off before you head back in for dinner. Bart, the property owner and manager couldn't have been more attentive, responsive and most importantly honest. If you are looking for the perfect get away property with your family that you can feel comfortable, safe, and oh so spoiled, this is the property for you! It's so NICE!

House is amazing! Photos don't do it justice! If you are looking for peace, quiet, relaxation, and amazing sunsets this is the place to be. House has everything you need for a relaxing trip! We absolutely loved our stay at Barts house! He met us at the property when we arrived and showed us around. The house is beautiful and the view off the back deck is breathtaking. I would stay there again if we ever have the opportunity to go back to Curacao!

Beautiful Property
Our party of 6 had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is great for beach hopping on the island's western side (where all the best beaches are located), and we loved having the ability to go snorkeling right off the back patio and then swim a short distance to Lagun Beach, which is one of our favorites. The view at sunset is heavenly. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet beach getaway.

Beautiful home with great view if you can handle the heat and mosquitos
Couldn't have asked for a nicer contemporary home with a better view (right on the ocean), comfortable bed and lots of quality amenities. It was a real hot-box however as the AC is only in the bedrooms, and unfortunately you can't open the doors or windows in the main areas of the house and kitchen without getting bitten to death by mosquitos because there are no screens on the doors or windows in these areas. Ceiling fans provided very limited ventilation. Thankfully, on our 2nd day we purchased a large fan in a local store which resolved the situation. Otherwise we wouldn't have survived the heat and bugs and probably left early. Hopefully the fan will still be there for other guests to enjoy. We did enjoy the beautiful ocean sunsets, beach chairs (which we took to local beaches), a well appointed kitchen (English instructions for the oven / cooktop would have been helpful), roomy bathrooms (with good water pressure), good wi-fi, a nice large TV (instructions for accessing the channel network would have been helpful), a compact washer / dryer, a charcoal BBQ grill, and availability of a US power outlet in each room. The host Bart was exceptionally helpful, greeting us on arrival and sending an electrician when the bedroom AC unit stopped working one evening. We tremendously enjoyed the nearby beaches and restaurants, as this is a beautiful area of the island which benefits from being a bit remote.

Wow!
Bart was so kind and helpful. He was easy to reach and greeted us when we arrived. He made spot on recommendations for food and sights to see. The property is a paradise. The water was amazing and we could snorkel to the local beach which never had more than 10-12 people and so many underwater sights to see. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary. The sunset from the balcony alone was worth the trip. Hope to make it back soon.
