About this property

Dolphin Dawn - See Dolphins at Dawn from your deck!

This is a beautiful, newly decorated condo located just steps to the beach! Our condo is on the 2nd floor with fantastic views of the ocean and ocean front pool (unheated) from every window. The large deck right off the living room is the perfect spot to relax to the sound of the surf, to watch the sun rise and dolphins play at dawn (or all day!) in the ocean, or to idle the day away. Bring your binoculars or use ours for close ups of the dolphins, pelicans, seagulls etc. Our unit offers a master bedroom with king bed, two full baths (super convenient for a family) sleep sofa queen bed, hallway XL single berth bed, fully appointed kitchen (including Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishwasher!), two flat screen TVs (living room and master bedroom), free WiFi, brand new deck swing, keyless entry system, and much more. Please note our condo is on the second floor of a three story building with stairs and no elevator.

Note: Linens and towels are NOT included in our rental, but can be rented by guests directly with a linen rental company to help guests keep their costs down. Or guests may bring their own linens and towels. Pillows, blankets and quilts are provided.

Our beach-- only steps away from our condo -- features coastal dunes, soft creamy sand, nice surf and great beach combing. We have beach chairs and boogie boards for your use during your visit.

In addition to our beach front, our condo community has an outdoor pool (unheated), outdoor grills, basketball and tennis courts, pool side restrooms, and oceanfront showers and laundry facilities.

We are only a short 15 minute walk to the lovely, historical village of Duck where you can enjoy the lovely shops, buy groceries, eat at great restaurants and cafes, buy books and sip coffee at Duck Cottage, rent bikes to ride on the jogging trails, walk the sound-side boardwalk for bird watching, and rent canoes, kayaks and other water sport equipment.

Bring your binoculars to bird watch and get great close ups of dolphins in our surf. Superb viewing from our deck!

Brief trip to Duck, NC

We only had two nights to spend on OBX. Dolphin Dawn was simply perfect! We are so appreciative that the owners allow short stays. Great location, beautiful views and a well-appointed condo with two full bathrooms.

Condo needed appliance update, especially the refrigerator, base boards in both bathrooms were dirty needed cleaning! 2nd bathroom needed updating. Hopefully the comforter gets washed, since we provided all linens, towels and sheets. No elevators, just stairs. Deck furniture and view was nice.

Beach get a way

All as Advertised, well equipped Kitchen, clean with a lot of nice extras. Yep we saw Dolphins off the deck. Only downside was the Mattress! Very convenient to Duck and surrounding areas.

Our favorite place to stay during our OBX visits. This property has everything you need. Great view of the ocean, short walk to the beach, and very comfortable inside. I think we've stayed here at least four times and we keep coming back. That says it all.

A lovely stay!

Our stay was amazing! The view was great and watching the sun rise over the ocean in the morning while enjoying our coffee was unbeatable. Staying in Duck was great, and the owners made the entire process very easy. My wife and I will be back when we return to OBX soon!

Great condo on the 3rd story with wonderful views. Great location in Duck, NC. Proximity to ocean as well as a pool was nearly all we could ask for. Duck has great food and shopping too.

My wife and I had a great week at Dolphin Dawn. It was exactly as advertised. Mike the owner was quick to respond to a couple questions I had for him. The balcony was fantastic for morning coffee or happy hour drinks. Easy walk to the beach and having pool nearby was nice too. Kitchen was ample for our needs and had all essentials. Great stay...will be back!

Wonderful Weekend Birthday in Duck, NC!

This property was simply amazing. It was modern, well maintained with lovely beach decor, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable 4-day visit. The views are absolutely breathtaking - watching the sun rise and set over the ocean made it an unforgettable vacation. Easy parking, keyless entrance and very responsive hosts. Would highly recommend.

Great but Beware

My bad that I did not see in the listing that you have to bring your own linens and paper products. There was no dish soap, but there was a notice that you are supposed to vacuum and dust. That being said, it was just as described, and the location is great. You really are that close to the beach, and you can practically see the beach on the inland side from the open hallway. The town of Duck is cute with a wonderful boardwalk. And the response was immediate when I had to contact the owners.

Our favorite thing about Dolphin Dawn is the oceanfront location and view. When you step out on the deck the view and sound of the surf is the most magical sound in the world! We have a porch swing on our deck and have enjoyed watching the sunrise, seeing the dolphins play, while sipping our coffee or an evening glass of wine. Perfect.
