Classic Cottage on Skaneateles Lake.

One of the last remaining classic cottages on the east side of Skaneateles Lake just 2 miles from the Village. Built in 1925, the cottage sits on 1.5 acres with 116 feet of very accessible lakefront. The views are spectacular.

There are 4 bedrooms that will sleep 8 people. 1 queen, 1 full and 2 rooms with 2 twins each. There are 1.5 baths plus an outside shower. The walls inside are not drywalled so sound carries through the walls between the rooms. The living and dining room which are furnished with antiques from the 1920’s and 30’s, provide plenty of room for gathering. You will' however not want to be inside as the porch is the best place to gather even in inclement weather. A full-size well equipped kitchen with a new Kitchen Aid stove and Bosch Dishwasher complements the simple kitchen.

The plumbing and electricity have been upgraded to provide a safe and pleasant environment. The living room is heated with a furnace for the few times you might need the heat. For those warmer nights there is an window air conditioner in the west facing bedroom upstairs which keeps that area comfortable. There are also fans which work in the rest of the upstairs. There is usually a breeze that comes off the lake as well there are fans in every bedroom.

The lawn provides a great place for family and friends to gather to watch the sun set.
There is a large dock just a few steps down to the water. Please be aware that the water by the dock can be very shallow. Do check the water depth before jumping in the lake!! It is a great place to watch the sunset as the Judge Ben Wiles passes by about 6 pm.

Guests will have access to all of the home with exception of the bunk room on floor 2 which will be used for the Owners only. It will be locked and guests should not try to gain access. There will be limited access to the garage to use the washer and dryer.
