Really nice place for a family get together. Tons of space, all you need to just hang out together, play games, cook big meals and enjoy the sea air. Nice walks along the shore right from the property, worth renting a kayak for your stay.
The grounds are lovely. The public rooms of this house were very comfortable and attractive. The beds, toilets and bathroom counters are very low, making it uncomfortable for older or disabled persons. The host was very responsive.
This was the PERFECT gathering spot for our family. We have been coming to Jamestown for decades and this was the perfect house for us to gather in and just hang out together. We will DEF rent it again!
Our 3 generation week was lovely. Between the sunsets on the deck, the bay, the hot tub and the nearby sandy beach, there was something for everyone. The host was wonderfully attentive, helpful and easy to reach. Lots of room!!
We had a wonderful week in Jamestown on this property. The space is ample and there is a beautiful deck as well as private access to the water. The house lacks some modern amenities, but it's comfortable and welcoming. We spent time there with our family and several friends and there was plenty of space to spread out.
We had a fantastic vacation here! The property is wonderful with stunning sunset views. Lots of windows and plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and be comfortable. And there was a good set of stairs for easy access down to the water! We brought kayaks and had a great time cruising around the bay. The owner was very responsive and wonderful to work with!
This is a beautiful property. The size of the house makes it perfect for a large family group. A large open living room / dining room was great for ten of us to comfortably hang out together, and the deck was also great for that purpose. We saw several beautiful sunsets over the water. There's lots of privacy. We used the water access at the bottom of the yard for kayaking and just hanging out.
Some parts of the property need updating - for example some of the windows don't open - but these were minor issues that didn't impact the quality of our stay. We're quite happy with our experience there.
An older contemporary home that is well maintained with reasonable updates, located in the most spectacular water front location. It was our family vacation spot this year's annual Fam Vaca. We are a family of 10 adults, 2 year old baby and couple of dogs. The house had more than enough space for all of us. Large backyard was a great space for dog to run and practice some golf. While we had 5 cars parked on one section of the driveway, we had space to set up a full pickle ball court and play without hitting any of cars.
We loved private beach! It is rocky, but if you have water shoes/sandals, during the low tied you had walk all along the coast. It is so picturesque with absolutely breathtaking views!
Christina was very attentive since the minute we arrived. When we had any questions, she responded within minutes.
Having stayed in multiple homes on or near the water, this remains our favorite based in amenities and location.
Our family (ranging from age 3 to 82) spent a wonderful couple of weeks at this lovely house tucked away on Beavertail just outside Jamestown. The house had so much space for us all to spread out and not be on top of each other, comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, huge deck, hot tub, massive yard, private rocky beach area with a beautiful view of the bay... it really was all we could ask for. We also loved being a short walk (or extremely short drive) to the local beach which was amazing for the kids. The house itself is both comfortable with cool vintage (70s-80s) design, in some ways slightly behind on modern comforts (such as no AC, but we had great cool evening weather so we were fine) but all in all a really unique, comfortable, and fantastic family retreat for us all!
This was a family reunion of sorts with several 20+ grandchldren
along with parents and grandparents who came and went at different times depending on their schedules. The house was immaculate and very spacious. The expansive deck was the popular favorite with its great views, birdwatching, sunsets and wonderful breezes. The hot tub was also a big hit! Highly recommend
We had a great time. It was an excellent home for 9 of us. Plenty of space to spread out and come together
Owner very responsive and helpful
Will definitely book this home again.
This was a wonderful house with lots of room and entertainment for teens as well as adults. The views were spectacular! Unfortunately, it was a very hot week and there was no air conditioning, so it was pretty warm. But worth it!
Architecturally interesting 70's style home on gorgeous property on rocky beach. Good communal room, many bedrooms. Windows need updating, kitchen adequate . we were advised not to use downstairs kitchen. Heating thermostats way off but owner is aware and will address. SHe is responsive to questions and resolving issues. SOme packages from AMazon arrived after we left and she mailed them to us.
House was spacious and on a beautiful, quiet rural road. Huge private yard with mature trees and plantings right on the water. Simply gorgeous, 3 families had rooms on 3 different levels of the home for a bit of privacy yet still being all together. Worked out perfectly for us
We had a wonderful 2 weeks. The first week, there were 6 of us in the house. It was so spacious that no one was on top of the other. We all loved sitting on the beautiful and large deck and looking at Narragansett Bay and the boats going by.
The house is on many levels. Large windows and glass doors everywhere. Ceiling fans kept us cool. The living and dining rooms are expansive so we ate and hung out as a family quite comfortably. In fact, there were enough dishes for us to have a large family reunion.
We loved the privacy of the gorgeous property, the landscaping and the hot tub.
The owner was a dream landlord. If anything wasn’t right, she corrected it immediately.
Good beach within walking distance.
Wonderful spot, great location and beautiful home!
We had a wonderful family stay-cation with our five children and daughter’s in-laws family. The home is lovely with everything you could want. We were able to launch kayaks from the water front and ride bikes all over the island. The hot tub was a big hit in the evening and we loved the giant deck. We would definitely recommend this property!
This property is a nature lovers paradise. We watched Ospreys fly from the enormous deck every afternoon. The sunsets are incredible. Every night it’s a different show.
The house was large and comfortable - it worked well for two families With a total of 5 teen boys.
The private beach was great for floating And exploring. We Launched kayaks from the beach as well. The house is set high from the beach so the views are beautiful but you do have to carry kayaks down a set of stairs to get to the water. It was fine for us and we enjoyed paddling around the islands.
My family and I had a great week-long stay at this house in Jamestown, RI!
The house is very large with lots of seating and natural light on a 5 acre property. The outdoor porch is lovely, with lots of seating and a new grill that we used most of our nights there. Umbrellas on two of the tables allowed us to be in the shade. We took lots of advantage of the private beach in the back. It was wonderful to have, especially during quarantine.
Jamestown is an extremely relaxing area with nice parks to walk around and explore. There is also a nice public beach down the road that we didn’t visit on our trip, mainly because we were trying to stay away from people! But we did drive by a few times and it looked clean. Lots of people swimming! There is also a little town on the water with a few cafes and restaurants with plenty of outdoor seating.
Overall, we had a great trip here. It is a fairly old house with some work to be done, but the trip was very enjoyable, and the large house and private beach were just what we needed for a nice quarantine vacation.
