Our 1951 bungalow in the heart of Shiner, Texas will make you feel like a local the moment you step through the door. It has been in our family for nearly 40 years and is just steps from Welhausen Park, historic downtown Shiner, the Spoetzl Brewery and the beautiful Saint Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. We hope you will enjoy our little piece of "the cleanest little city in Texas." Welcome home.
THE SPACE:
The Barta Bungalow has two equal-sized bedrooms equipped queen-sized beds. There is one full bathroom in the middle of the house. There is ample space for hanging clothes in the closet, as well as several shelves for folded items. Additionally, the bathroom has tons of extra storage space on empty shelves behind the door. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need to prepare your own meals. And, yes, there's a blender, a coffee grinder, coffee maker and coffee. The bathroom should have nearly everything you need: Towels, soaps, essentials, hair dryer, even make-up wipes.
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the entire house, parking name it. Our home is your home.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:
As we will be out of town during your stay, our personal availability will be limited to email, phone or text, but our local property manager will be on-call for any emergencies. Additionally, in the living room, you will find a list of area restaurants and places of interest.
THE AREA:
The heart of Shiner is filled with pecan tree-lined streets and feels like you've been transported back in time. Walk to a nearby coffee shop, grocery store, restaurant or the brewery, and enjoy taking it slow.
GETTING AROUND:
Parking is available under the carport next to the house, but a car is not the only way to get around Shiner. We suggest biking or walking as well. In addition, the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is only an hour and a half drive away, and the George Bush International Airport in Houston is approximately two hours away.
