About this property

Stargazing and Amazing Views at The Ocotillo

This one bedroom cabin in Pioneertown is the perfect retreat for couples, friends or solo travelers. It offers amazing views of the surrounding landscape, with a fire pit for enjoying the nights under a blanket of stars.

The cabin is off-grid with solar power, but offers all the comforts of home with a King bed, indoor fireplace & outdoor dining & seating area. This is a great spot to relax and recharge, while still being close enough to all the local attractions.

The space:

Secluded yet close to everything:

5 minutes ➔ La Copine
12 minutes ➔ Pappy & Harriet’s
15 minutes ➔ Frontier Cafe and Old Town Yucca Valley
15 minutes ➔ Integratron
16 minutes ➔ Joshua Tree National Park Visitors Center
45 minutes ➔ Palm Springs

The Ocotillo is private but our sister cabin, The Yucca, is on the same 5 acre property.

Highlights include:

- 1 bedroom with comfy King bed. Sleeps up to 2 guests.

- Skylight over the bed for stargazing.

- Off-grid with solar power.

- Amazing views in all directions.

- Zero light pollution.

- Gas fire pit and grill.

- Outdoor dining and seating area.

- Gas fireplace for cozy night.

- Pet friendly for up to 1 well behaved pup.

- Open floor plan kitchen, dining and living area.

- Coffee with pour over maker ready to start your day.

Please note: This cabin is 100% off grid and uses solar power with a generator as a back up. This means it's best to conserve as much power as you can once the sun goes down. If the battery runs below 25% the generator will kick on, but please be aware, it's loud, so it's better to avoid needing it. There is a tablet in the cabin where you can monitor the battery level.

Some fun things to do while in the area:

- Go to a sound bath at Integratron or with one of our local practitioners.

- Get an in-home massage by one of our awesome, local massage therapists.

- Go on a private, guided hike - a favorite activity for guests!

- Have a meal prepared by a local private chef.

- Get a private Yoga or Pilates session.

- Go on a star gazing tour with Sky Watcher Tours - another favorite!

- Go on a private horseback ride and explore canyons, creeks, and desert wildlife.

Other things to note:

Please note: music is not allowed outside at any time of day. The cabin is in a quiet area and sound travels far here in the desert.

You will need to travel on some dirt roads to reach the property but it's accessible to most cars without an issue. We will send you exact driving directions so you can find your way. GPS doesn't work.

Pet Friendly: We're pet friendly! One well-behaved pup allowed. There is a $95 pet fee, paid at time of booking. No pups on the furniture and no pups left alone in the house (unless crated) or in the yard.

Check in/Check out: Check in time is 4 pm and check out time is 11 am.

Please review our cancellation policy closely. If you’re worried about the possibility that you may need to cancel after the refund period is closed we highly recommend adding travel insurance to your booking.
