Remodeled Home Walking Distance to Pleasure Pier/Beach

We chose to purchase this vacation home after the first announcement regarding the Pleasure Pier and seeing how perfectly situated it was so close to the beach (3 short blocks) and what we liked most of Galveston. Located one block from the Historic Rosenberg Avenue, where the largest Galveston Mardi Gras parade is held annually, and also where the trolley tracks run from the Strand District to the Seawall. Walking distance to numerous tourist attractions, shopping, restaurants and leisurely walks, bike rides, and rollerblading on the seawall.

Close to beach
The house is great. It is close to beach so it has stairs. Be aware of that. We are older so didn't go to game room in garage. But it is nice. Good size for vacation. Good water pressure in shower. For the price. It was better than hotels. Multiple restaurants close by. It is good stay at good price. The property manager responded fast to any questions.

It’s a little hard to open the front door. Property is beautiful and close to everything. Neighbors smoke weed out there in the open.

It was okay. The bathroom needs more shelving for places to put your belongings. The stairs up to the house were okay until the last step. I tripped and almost fell because the last step is too high. The two chairs in the living room are awful.

False advertisement! I will be speaking to an attorney. VRBO had this property listed as a 3 bedroom & 2 bathroom home. There were only 2 bedrooms with a pull-out couch in the living room. There was also only 1 bathroom and the owner guessed that the 2nd bathroom was the outdoor shower. Come on, an outdoor shower qualifies as a bathroom? Very misleading!!! This put us in a real bind.

Great get away
Loved our time in Galveston. Ike was very responsive, even allowing us early check in. The house was perfect for our stay and exactly as represented in the listing. Gaidos is an absolute must for dinner!

Great cozy place
This was a truly a wonderful place to stay for a small family. Highlights: -Walking distance to Pleasure pier and beach. -Internet was good -Cable was good -House was clean -Beds, pillows, blankets all good -Back and front decks were great for morning coffee and evenings -Neigbors were very pleasant -Kitchen was equipped with enough to get by -There was street parking along with some driveway parking -In the neighborhood there is also a great park, that has pickle ball, tennis court, SPLASH PARK, basketball. -Walking distance to MANY restaurants, groceries were a short drive. For our family of three this place met all of our needs for the week that were there. We will definitely book there again. Tom from Canada

Wonderful property
We truly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotless. It is a quiet street and just a short walk to the beach. We will stay there again.

Conveniently Located
The house could have been a great place, but the roaches ruined it. The property looks great, friendly neighbors, walking distance from the pier, and restaurants. The owner was responsive to my complaint, and had an exterminator come out while we were there. But the fact that we dealt with roaches the majority of our stay left everyone ready to go home at the end of the week.

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint beach house! The area was nice. Great location so we did not have to travel very far to our destinations! The hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with! The house was clean with plenty of extra bedding. My only complaint is that there was a slight bug problem. Dead and alive! Otherwise, our stay was comfortable. We would stay there again!

Lovely Stay
This place was great! The game table was a big hit with the kiddos. We also played cards & uno, which were at the house. LOVE the wood floors! It’s a convenient location! Everything is walking distance. Space was good, despite only 1 bathroom. It’s totally doable for good friends &/or family members. There we’re tiny little black bugs that get in from outside, but it was only like 4-5 in the whole weekend. If you stand outside on the steps, tho, you get bitten a lot, tho. Those little tiny bugs & mosquitos are hungry - nothing a little Off wouldn’t take care of. Bring DVDs if you wanna watch movies, OR make sure you have a Vudu account & you can stream shows & movies. Don’t rely on Amazon, Netflix or Hulu or AppleTV. Wifi was good. Very scenic & quaint space. We were quite cozy and had a REALLY fun time together as a family. DEFINITELY recommend!
