The neighbors have several chickens that like to wander over to the property and visit. They are not a bother and keep to themselves but just be aware that you may see them wandering around from the deck or outside of the windows.
Our cottage is located 2 miles from High Rock Lake and 11 miles from uptown Lexington. Uptown Lexington is thriving and has bars, breweries, restaurants, antique shops, coffee shops, boutiques, etc. You can easily spend an entire day exploring our quaint town!
Larger cities such as Winston-Salem, Charlotte and Greensboro are all an easy drive (varying distances) and offer all of the big city amenities.
Activities, Hiking, and Day Trip ideas:
-Spend a day on High Rock Lake - At over 15,000 acres in size, HRL is the 2nd largest lake in NC and boasts 360 miles of shoreline. There’s fun spots to eat, grab some ice cream, swim, and of course there’s plenty of room for all of your boating activities.
