Freshly painted with new updated kitchen and bathroom, July of 2021. The Cottage at Twin Notch Farm is a relaxing, romantic destination; a place to escape the daily stress of life and discover Loudoun County, Virginia. The farm is nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Catoctin Ridge where you can enjoy living the country life on a newly established vineyard of Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Petit Mensang. Our cottage is the perfect location for touring many of Northern Virginia's finest wineries, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries. Or, enjoy hiking, biking, antiquing and site-seeing the beautiful historic areas of Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. Located just 60 minutes northwest of Washington D.C., 30 minutes from Dulles International Airport, and 12 minutes from downtown Historic Leesburg.

This private 900 square foot cottage is nestled in a vineyard of Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of privacy to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset over the rolling countryside. It features a screened in porch to enjoy your morning cup of coffee and a private patio to enjoy your evening glass of wine while relaxing on the farm. The cottage has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, while the second bedroom has a queen size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook your own meals and a gas grill on the patio is ready for your BBQs. The Cottage has satellite TV and internet.

We are now at the peak season, so there is a two night minimum on weekends.

The Cottage is located on an operational vineyard and horse farm so safety restrictions apply throughout your stay:* no smoking on property; no pets; no children under 10 years of age. * No gatherings, events or parties (i.e., Bridal Brunches) are permitted unless pre-approved prior to your check-in. No early check-ins or late check-outs without prior approval.*NO refunds for early departures. *Ring spot light/ camera on garage looking down the driveway to cottage and main house for your safety and ours. *Maximum number of guests in the cottage is 4. *Any violations of these policy will result in loss of security deposit.

Walking tours of the vineyard and stable are available during your stay if requested.

Perfect

Have stayed in a number of VRBO properties but none of them could compare to this one. Cleanliness, comfort, quietness, location and ease of check/in and out were perfect for a relaxing time. The screened in porch was wonderful and the landscaping was beautiful!

Almost Heaven

My wife and I stayed at The Cottage for a month and it did not seem long enough! It was our second time staying there. The setting was breathtaking with the brilliant colors if the changing leaves and horses grazing on the hillside. We love staying here thanks to the thoughtfulness of Nancy. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful place off the beaten path

This was a lovely cottage, with amazing views. It is a bit off the beaten path which would have been great in other circumstances, but I was traveling all over Virginia so the night driving back the cottage was a little nerve wracking, but so beautiful.

Idyllic countryside escape!

Enjoyed our stay at The Cottage! Our host went above and beyond to make us comfortable during our week stay while our daughter was recovering from surgery. The house has everything you need and more. The views were spectacular. Hope we can return soon!

Fantastic Getaway

You know that rental cottage where the furniture was the leftovers from grandma's house, the kitchenware came from the chip 'n' scratch bin at Goodwill, and the decor was someone's amateur version of a Salvador Dali painting? Well, this is NOT that place! Everything looked brand new and was spotlessly clean. My wife has back problems and what a relief to find the king bed had a very comfortable feels-like-new mattress. And the setting, surrounded by vineyards and horse pastures, was so quiet and restful we wished we could have spent the whole time just soaking it up from the porch. Our hostess Nancy was very helpful and welcoming as well. We definitely plan to return!.

Lovely Stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at this cottage. The area is absolutely stunning. We were there over Christmas so really only spent nights in the cottage and were out with family for most of the day. The kitchen appeared well-stocked but we didn’t cook any meals. There is a Keurig coffee maker, with a variety of K-cups provided, which was perfect. The cabin was immaculate, private, and instructions were provided for everything. I appreciated that all of the light switches were clearly labeled! The couple of miles off the main road directly to the cottage, for me, were a little harrowing (unpaved, no lights, curvy) but my husband felt it was fine. He did find the cottage WiFi to be a little slow and thought it would be handy if there was a streaming stick or some kind of streaming device for the television. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Thank you so much, Nancy.

Awesome stay!!

First time staying here and hopefully it won’t be the last! From the lovely layout of this quaint cottage to the beautiful view off the screen porch our time spent here was too short. The property is perfect for a quiet sleep in after a day of wine tasting or in our case, recover from NYE! We appreciate the great communication with the owner and fully stocked coffee maker! Can’t say enough about this great place, or maybe I should lay low to ensure there’s availability for us. :)

Very bad noise from next door construction

My experience first we should have privacy to enjoy the owner of property lives next door with remodeling another house and noise of construction and fire place did not work finally we did not enjoy

Beyond Expectations

Our stay at Twin Notch Farm was absolutely lovely! The area the cottage is located is in a beautiful area of northern Virginia and the fact that it is a working vineyard and horse farm made it more special. The hosts Nancy and JC were very welcoming, as well as their feline 20 year old host Squeaker who immediately befriended us! The property was comfortable, clean and a perfect getaway accommodation for my friends and I. Hope to be able to stay again in the near future and highly recommend for others looking to do a little girls getaway close to the wine country in Northern Virginia!

The Best of the Best!

If you are looking for serenity, beauty, and a well appointed kitchen, this is it! The kitchen and bath are all new and gorgeous. The bed is so comfortable. The screened porch is idyllic and the host friendly and accommodating. I doubt you'd find anything any better, and I've stayed in a lot of VRBO's.

Beautiful and quiet

We loved our time at this beautiful cottage with the vineyard and horse farm around us. Close to everything we wanted to do and yet in a peaceful and quiet setting. Cottage was very clean and well stocked. Nancy was very easy to work with and only a text away. It was just what we were looking for and we hope to come back again!

Short but sweet

This cottage felt cozy from the moment we walked in the door. There was plenty of space for 4 adults. Comfortable furniture and mattresses makes all the difference! When we first arrived, I took a walk behind the house to the barn and was pleasantly surprised when 2 horses came around the corner to say “hi”. The views from the porch are to die for. We were looking for some peace and quiet, and we found it. Thank you, Nancy and JC, for making us feel so welcome to your slice of heaven.

In the Vineyard and Lovely!!

We were in town for our daughter’s wedding and wanted more than just a hotel room; and boy did we find it! This beautiful Cottage is out of the way but very close to everything. It was spotless. Nancy was a kind and communicative hostess, and we are so very grateful to have found this ideal place!!
