A little high for the place. The bed was not great for 2 adults...we are not large people either. Bedding slid off all night. Kitchen had the needed items for a meal prep. No view no river close by. We have stayed other places with a little more at a lesser price. Sorry. My thoughts It was a little uncomfortable know

Great stay!

This cabin was fantastic! The beds were comfortable, the space was clean, the patio area was incredible. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit as well as hanging out on the patio. The location was perfect and we appreciated the easy directions to the national park entrance. Highly recommend.

Tranquil Get Away

Very peaceful. Far enough away from the busy tourist parts of Estes Park yet close enough to get places when you want. Very comfortable and clean…perfect for a couples get away.

Clean, quiet getaway.

Wonderful Little Cabin

We enjoy our stay very much. The cabin was very clean and well kept up. We were able to see wildlife up close to the cabin several different days. The cabin is very close to restaurants and to the National Forest.

Wedding trip

Property was good. Communication difficult.

Overall the property was as advertised. Upon arrival it was apparant that the rugs in the living room had not been vacuumed. Otherwise everything was clean, neat and well maintained. I really liked the soap bars that were provided. The hot tub is a nice feature but not something we used, same for the outdoor grill. We arrived late on a Saturday and the office was closed on Sunday. The instructions in the book at the property were applicable to the main lodge and were not adequately clear for the property in which we stayed, especially regarding check-in and check-out (which were not necessary for our property) but the on site instructions indicated incorrectly that guests had to stop at the lodge registration desk which was miles away. The separate instructions regarding the hot tub and other amenities were very clear. No one was available to contact (except in dire emergency) on Sunday. Communication was complicated by poor cell signal and slow/delayed text connections (not the fault of the managers). The biggest problem was the door lock system which never completely worked properly throughout our stay even after some remote troubleshooting by the staff. I've never had such difficulty at other VRBO properties using similar systems. This was most unfortunate and should be investigated and corrected. The only other critique I would make is that the list of restrictions and requiements that guests had to agree to seemed to be over the top. Other properties are not nearly so intense. It gave the impression that guest profile that the management typically sees is decidedly unsavory or irresponsible. Overall the property was quite acceptable and our stay was comfortable. The lock security issue was unfortunate and the communication issues were a challenge due to a variety of issues at both ends of the communciation chain. I would stay at the property again despite the aforemented issues.

Great Vacation

This place was perfect for us. We ran during the day taking in all the sites and came home after dinner to unwind on the patio and in the hot tub. Our hosts had the place ready when we arrived and was everything we expected.

Connecting with Nature

We loved the property. It was as advertised. The only disappointment was the hot tub chemical smell. It was a little strong and made us cough so we didn’t stay in long. The patio was amazing! We saw many elk, deer and I spent hours meditating and watching the humming birds and woodpeckers fight for a spot on the humming bird feeder. It was clean, comfortable and we never even noticed the home owners. They were very respectful of our privacy. The home was efficient and had everything you could need an more. Every detail was thought out. Even a fuzzy blanket to cuddle in outside. We are not small people, so the queen bed was very cozy:). The fridge was small and items in the back froze, but it did the job. We cooked breakfast in and went hiking during the day so had snacks. We then eat out every night. It was perfect for us!

Cabin not truly a cabin

I've booked other properties through VRBO in the past and must say, that other then the hot tub in the outside patio area, this was not the best place to stay. It was NOT a free standing cabin as described in the property posting. It was attached to the owner's home! We didn't feel intruded upon, but knowing there was only a door in the bathroom that separated us from the owners residence, was a bit awkward. The space was very small as well. Says it sleeps 4, but it wasn't a place that had 2 actual beds, but rather a queen bed in the only bedroom, and a pull out couch bed (these are horrible to sleep on). It was rather far from town as well. I thought for sure it would be closer to the main part of town, but was actually a good 2 miles from the very southern part of town, so walking to and from was really not much of an option. The ammenities were just OK. There was most of the things you would need to function out of the house, but the refrigerator was small and no door on the freezer part, so keeping ice or even making ice was not an option. Unless you are familiar with "Streaming" television, operating the TV took some time as well, as it was a ROKU based unit. Overall, I just felt it was a bit misleading in it's description, and even down to the "check in" process, things weren't the smoothest to do. Our lock on the front door was operated by a keypad, and it didn't work at times. This experience just reminded me that I really need to research the property before booking.

Wonderfully private

Our favorite part of the stat was the privacy and the patio! For a longer stay we did need something a little better in order to freeze our ice blocks, as they did not freeze back up. Overall loved the hot tub and so much better than staying in a hotel!

Perfect little home away from home!

My husband and I (and our 3 month old) came to Estes to visit some friends and family. Since this was our first time traveling with the kiddo, we decided to get our own place the first few nights of our visit just in case she had a hard time adjusting. This place was perfect. Small and cozy. We used the mini kitchen several times to cook breakfast, and the hosts provided everything we could possibly need to do so. The hot tub was so nice in the evenings. Even though the place is attached to the hosts home, you have your own private patio and entrance and it is very quiet. The hosts were very sweet and quick to respond any time I had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I both have both been in Colorado our whole lives. My husband came from Durango about 25 years ago and I am one of the few 'true' Estes Park natives. We managed our family resort in Estes Park until recent. We enjoy offering our guest cabin to travelers coming to the area that do not want resort atmosphere, as it provides a great home away from home feel while providing our guests ultimate privacy.

Star gazing while soaking in the fabulous 7 person private hot tub or relaxing on the patio while having a BBQ is a big draw to this cozy guest cabin. Not in a commercial setting in a quit neighborhood.
