DOGS PERMITTED? Sorry, No - Dogs are not permitted at this property.
This quaint cottage with sweeping views from Rockland Harbor, including the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, is at the end of a dead-end road with a large mowed lawn. Despite the appearance of the satellite photo, this cottage enjoys relative privacy with a fence between it and the nearest neighbor. Enjoy the bustling town life that the adjoining towns of Rockland, Rockport and Camden have to offer. Head south and experience "the way life used to be" in Owls Head, Thomaston, Spruce Head, and Tenants Harbor.
Outside there is a private pebble and rocky beach, perfect for storing your kayaks. Thanks to the Rockland Breakwater, the ocean remains very calm and it is great for kayaking. Kids will enjoy wading and splashing in the water, as well as overturning rocks to find crabs.
The large deck provides a relaxing opportunity to enjoy all of your meals or watch the schooners sail by.
Close by attractions include Owls Head Light State Park or the Owls Head Transportation Museum. With downtown Rockland a short ride away, you can enjoy the Farnsworth Museum, wonderful art galleries, interesting shopping and art museums, plentiful restaurants, golf courses, as well as the museum at the end of the Breakwater inside the Rockland Light, which is still in operation.
