Definitely needs to be updated

Enjoyed our Stay

Rented this unit June 1, 2024. Had a wonderful stay. Great location of this property. Cold AC. It was outdated. But it was ok for our group. No Grill. Which all other units seemed to have grills. Bare minimum on items in this unit. 1 roll of toilet paper. I roll of paper towel. No hand soap. 2 dishwasher pods. So just keep in mind you will need to go get all of this. Did have plenty of cookware, plates, utensils etc. This unit had a wonderful back patio on the water (little pond) My family is easy to please, so it was great for us. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Unit 009 '24 Spring Break

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was as described. The location was convenient to all amenities. It wEasily slept our group of 8. The day we arrived the wifi was down. I called the office and maintenance (Paul) arrived shortly later. He said we would need a new modem and would receive one the next morning (Easter Sunday). The next day noone called or mentioned the modem. I went to the front office and was told I would get one, again, in the morning. Monday we received a new modem, but but no login info. The next day, again, I went to the office and was told the "guy" with the passwords would be in tomorrow. I went back to the office Wednesday morning and everyone seemed confused. We never had wifi or live TV for the 5 night/6 day stay. The TVs were in guest mode and required internet to do anything. Very disappointing. I needed to work during our stay, so after a couple days I spent most of my morning in a local Starbucks to use the WiFi. Nothing was ever mentioned about compensation for no wifi or tv for the 6-day stay. At $500/night it's a shame that a major amenity like wifi/cable was unavailable for the entire trip and we never got a single follow-up or compensation. Do better Sandpiper Cove and unit owners.

Amazing complex, unit, and location!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This villa was perfect for our group with all kinds of space for each of us to have our own area. I had read some if the previous reviews about upstairs being hot and deck needing repairs, but all of those issues had been addressed by the owner. Because you could make it as cold as you like, actually we kept it around 68 degrees most the time and the deck was in perfect shape. The daily walk to the beach only took a few minutes each day. And of all the years (20) of our family staying in Sandpiper Cove, this is the first time we have had linen services. So each morning I just walked about 2 minutes across the parking to exchange our condo towels, which saved a load of laundry each day. One last bonus of staying in unit 9 is that you can park your suvs under the unit and keep them out of the sun which makes them cooler as you need them. If we have 7 in our group next year we will try to get this unit again. A+++ place.

Sandpiper Cove Vacation #009

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have Vacation at Sandpiper Cove several Years now & Love the Staff. We always try to stay at 1 that Sandpiper rents out cause if problems arises the Staff mostly can get things corrected. The problems we had this time was the Owners responsibility. Deck had collapsed & unable to use. Owners didn’t let the Staff know in time for us to change. The 3rd bedroom upstairs wasn’t very cool even thou we went & bought 2 fans. We used 4 all total. Needs a separate cooling system!!️ Didn’t have enough serving bowls or even plastic containers to use. Our least favorite even thou we Loved the location. Condo just needs some TLC!!️!!️!!️

This property advertises a beautiful deck. However, the deck was damaged and had cautio tape. I gave the property very dirty because there was blood on the door. I paid a lot of money for this villa. This villa was not in good condition at all. None of these damages were disclosed on the vrbo add or by the renter. I would not recommend this property.I will send pictures of the deplorable condition.

Very disappointed

First and foremost, I don’t understand how this property was listed as available to rent. The condition of the property was poor, and overall dirty. When we arrived we noticed dead roaches on the floor in the entryway. We looked past that, and walked upstairs to find ants all over the kitchen sink, and countertops. I immediately called maintenance, and they arrived to spray the condo. On the second day, we awoke to dripping water from the ceiling and pieces of the ceiling on the floor. Again, we called maintenance and they arrived, cut a hole in the ceiling and stated that they would fix it when we departed. We wiped up the pieces of ceiling and tried to make the best of the current situation. The ants remained throughout our stay, we just didn’t put our food products on the counter. We were also exposed to several more roaches, including one in the bed with my wife and I. Icing on the cake, there were birds or bats in chimney, they would randomly start making noise all throughout the day and night. We notified the front desk of everything that occurred, but basically they couldn’t really do anything. We paid over 4000$ to stay in this condo; we were unable to find another in such a short period of time that would allow for a boat space. We are not looking for refunds, or credits, but seriously, how do you with a good conscience rent a place like this???? FYI, my wife slept fully clothed and would not even sit on the couches without beach towels on the cushions… This is no exaggeration, but a heads up to anyone looking to rent 0009… One positive, the location is nice!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you like roaches, this is the place for you. The kitchen and adjoining bathroom are completely infested with roaches. Now I understand it Florida and bugs are a thing you need to deal with from time to time. This unit is not that. This unit is completely overrun. We watched from the deck as the poured out of the ceiling light fixture. We killed a dozen of them at least and they still kept coming. Overall the unit could use an update, but most importantly it needs an exterminator.

Longtime visitors to Sandpiper Cove

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sandpiper Cove as always a great place to visit. Lots of work being completed on the buildings and grounds. Our unit we rented this trip was in pretty sad shape, it was tried and needing of some updates. It appeared that updates were in the process but have been for sometime. We would not re-rent this place at this time, until updates are completed. Sandpiper Cove staff as always very attentive to our needs on the property, but this trip we made more contacts with them then all the other stays. This unit needs some TLC to become the great unit it can be. Things that where a problem with the unit- Stove burners only one working properly, back deck with broken boards and holes in deck, shower handles broken due to old age, sliding glass door hard to work and fogged up, poor lighting in living area, wall with many patch spots not painted, Kitchen cabinets falling apart, most closet doors not working without falling off. In general this unit has been neglected for many years. It appears the sliding glass door will be replaced but it has been standing out side on the patio for a very long time. Deck has been falling apart for several years. This unit should not be rented in this condition unless it is at a significant discount.

Delightfully Disappointed

Reviewer Comments: The deck was not well maintained, including a bench that was not hung. The inside was dated/dusty. There was a bird nest in the fireplace that was extremely loud. The first few days at the beach, the beach was dirty. It was hard not having a turn down service. It would have been nice having a shuttle service to and from the airport. The pool on the left hand side upon entering was disgusting. Very dirty water and broken chairs and an awful smell. We did not have a code to get in and out of the gate for the beach.

Only one word disappointment
