Two bedroom ,One bath home with A/C. Outdoor smoking area. High speed internet and 3 smart tvs. One small pet under 20 lbs permitted.
Right off 199 but snuggled into our 4 acre property we offering a peaceful place to rest during your travels.
Built in 1945 as a secondary residence on our property the Hobbit House has much charm and a couple of quirks.
The first quirk is how the Hobbit House gets its name. There are several doorways, the transition between the living room/dining room and a beam on the back deck that are only slightly above 6 foot tall. If you are over 6 foot tall you have been warned.
The second quirk is that the one bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom.
Both bedrooms have a queen bed and a smart tv.
The living room/dining room has a smart tv and a Bluetooth speaker mounted in the hanging ceiling light that you can hook to you devices and enjoy music or podcasts.
The kitchen has a full sized electric range and oven, ,full sized refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker, and all the pots ,pans, and utensils you may need to prepare food. There is no dishwasher.
There will always be some coffee, teas, and snacks for you when you arrive and if you get in late or don’t feel like going out for food we will have some pasta and sauce you can make or some soup to heat up.
Should you want to venture out for a bite there are food trucks , restaurants, and coffee shops within a few miles.
There are also grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations, gift shops very close by.
Again we offer a OUTDOOR smoking area for you to enjoy your smoke of choice but ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN THE HOUSE.
We live right next door and will be happy to assist you in any way we can and equally happy to leave you in peace if that is your desire.
We are located slightly over a hour away to the Pacific Ocean thru ancient redwoods and along the beautiful Smith River.
Many wineries are in the area. The famous National Park of the Oregon caves is about a 30 minute drive from here. There is a Wild Cat park and a Butterfly Conservatory just down the road, A golf course and a disc golf course are within a few miles. There is amazing Illinois River if very close offer hiking trails and water fun.
Again we want you to very much enjoy your stay here so please let us know if we can accommodate you in any way.
