The Yellow Creek Cottage is the perfect location to unwind with family and friends while enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors. The outdoor fire pit and Yellow Creek provide a wonderful location to fish along with Easy access to Lake Raystown, Juniata River and many more outdoor activities.

Perfect quiet getaway

The property is amazing. The house is adorable. There is zero cell service so make sure you take a picture of codes and wifi before heading down to the property. The wifi is excellent and I had zero issues working and making wifi calls. The accommodations were lovely. The bbq and deck were a huge bonus. I wish i had more time to hang out on the river. Highly recommend this property!

A way to disconnect and unwind

We enjoyed staying at the property. It is truly serene. We could see and hear the nearby creek. We even saw a bald eagle ... a rare sight! The house was quaint, extremely clean and beautiful. If you're looking for a place to be "off the grid", this is the place for you! The host was very accommodating and quick to respond.

Wonderful location

What a wonderful experience we had at this location. The drive was a bit far for us given that we were coming from the city but it was totally worth it. The creek was so beautiful the neighbors were so friendly. Cody had everything we could possibly need. So peaceful and the rain made it so much better. The scenery was breath taking. I would definitely be returning to this location.

Best vrbo I've stayed at so far!!

I was extremely impressed with everything at this house. The location was spot on, not a very busy road and a creek right in front of the house. The host had almost every extra item you can think of if you forgot something- extra condiments, stuff for smores, plenty of water stocked in the fridge, extra lawn chairs, more than enough linens and towels, etc. you name it, it is probably already there for you! I did not have any reason to contact the host, but he was a simple phone call away. My family spent most of the time at the creek fishing and around the campfire. The host does include a bundle of firewood for the fire pit- which was a nice gesture. Honestly, the only "negative" review I can think of was the uncomfortable beds- but then again that is a chance you take when you stay in a vacation home. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone wanting to get away for the weekend for some relaxation!

Very Lovely

The stay was very peaceful w/ kind neighbors. Was a very nice getaway. I definitely want to return to this location. Proper manager was attentive and responded to my text messages. The home had everything we needed to stay and feel at home!

Perfect Spot!

We loved it here! The house is super cozy and has all the staples readily available. The water nearby was really cool- our kids loved it! My favorite was the porch swing and deck lights though... especially listening to the rain. We came for a nonstop busy wedding weekend and this house provided plenty of getting ready room and calming vibes :) We would love to stay here again. The host was great and super helpful as well. Highly recommend!

Second time staying at this location. Great as always!

Another great stay at this location! It’s a short trip to the lake and other places around the area. My only complaint which ended up being kinda nice at time is that this time around there was no service and the WiFi was out so there was literally no way to connect with the outside world except for the house land line which was kind or nice but inconvenient to gps where and how to get to places from the house. As always it was a great stay with everything we needed in the house.

Charming old house

You will find all clean and all the supplies you could think of. Layout of the house is a little weird, but overall great stay for the price. Enjoy the stream across the street.

Wonderful

We met my sister and husband there for the weekend. We visited while cooking and preparing meals for a family reunion. It was a wonderful visit to be able to be together instead of individual hotel rooms.

Fantastic house with a cabin feel!

We loved it! The creek is literally directly across the street and fantastic for tubing, fishing and splashing around! We brought our jet ski and the drive to Tatman Run was about 30 minutes to launch on a very nice ramp and a swimming beach! This was a fantastic stay and we recommend it to anyone who likes the mountains, streams and Raystown lake!

My family had a fabulous experience at Yellow Creek cottage in July2022

This property was an early 1900 home fully renovated into a cute country cottage. When entering the house was exceptionally clean with A/C on and all features working. The home can sleep 6 well and the one bathroom was satisfactory for us. The house was closed enough where we enjoyed Raystown lake, golfing, fishing and visiting the flight 93 National memorial. There are other attractions but our objective was close travel to Raystown lake for riding the Proud Mary, boating, fishing and swimming. We have already recommended the property to others and certainly rent there again. The side porch is also a great feature.
