About this property

3+ BR 3BA Potrero Paradise: Luxurious, Views, Hot Tub

Enjoy San Francisco's sunniest neighborhood, Potrero Hill, in this luxurious and charming 3-story Mediterranean style retreat. 5 patios/decks all with amazing views including from the always ready hot tub.

Oracle Park (Giants) is a pleasant 1.5 mi walk down the hill and Chase Center (home of the Warriors) is just a bit farther away. The home is also within 1/2 mile from San Francisco General Hospital (about a 13-minute walk) and just over a mile from USCF's Mission Bay campus.

This spacious three-story, three-bedroom home and its five patios and balconies feature stunning views of Twin Peaks, Downtown, and East Bay. The house is set away from the street with a gracious front patio/garden and is very quiet.

Potrero Hill is not only known for its sun but also easy access to the hot Mission District, AT&T Park, and Downtown - all are walkable and the area is well served by city transit.

Don't miss soaking in the outdoor Hot Tub: great views to Twin Peaks, Downtown, and even the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is always hot and ready for your enjoyment.

The main (2nd) floor's open floor plan provides a spacious living room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen with everything you might need to serve up a feast.

A separate office/sitting area opens to the sheltered and unique front patio and garden. This room can be transformed to a fourth bedroom for larger parties with comfy queen air mattress.

The French doors in the large Master Bedroom suite open to the garden and hot tub. The large room includes a King Bed, large TV with cable and Apple TV service. After your hot tub enjoy the large two-headed shower in the master bath.

Upstairs (3rd floor) you'll love the two large bedrooms on either side of the large sky-lit bathroom.

The West-facing bedroom features a balcony with fabulous views of Twin Peaks and Downtown. The large bedroom includes queen bed, desk, TV with cable TV, and large closet.

The East-facing bedroom features a queen bed, desk, and closet. Off the bedroom is a very large sunny deck with views of Twin Peaks to the west, the East Bay, and AT&T Park. The deck also has a new Weber gas grill and patio furniture for your dining pleasure.

Guests have commented on the comfort of the beds and the terrific showers. I take care to ensure that the rooms are fresh and clean - good linens, comfortable pillows, and nice towels.

Amenities include gourmet and well-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and 4k TV/Apple TV.

This home is fully furnished and accessorized with Southwestern flair.

Sitting between highways 101 and 280, access to the rest of the city and the entire Bay Area is easy. Plenty of public transit including the Muni 9 and 19 lines as well as easy access to BART. Uber and Lyft provide convenient and less expensive access.

Street parking is plentiful and does not require a permit. Garage parking also available for 1 car (not appropriate for large SUVS).

GREAT PLACE! GREAT HOST!

The house was beautiful, with lots of spaces for sharing and incredible views. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, feels safe, walkable and close to grocery stores as well as coffee shops and restaurants (10min). We had an amazing time and Fran was extremely attentive. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful!

This is a wonderful home to relax in while vacationing. The views are spectacular. From the backyard you overlook the city and mountains. Wonderful little outdoor seating areas attached to every room. The home was very comfortable and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend this place for your visit to San Francisco.

Lovely home spectacular views!

Cozy home, gorgeous views, and a great collection of artwork made it a great place to relax with family after a busy and hectic day at the Art Fair. The well stocked kitchen made cooking in each night a breeze. We would definitely come back!

Very nice place

We stayed for a long weekend. The house is nice and clean. Very nice art work throughout the home. It's a little dated for my taste, but not bad. Amazing views from the backyard and sunsets in the jacuzzi are awesome. It's a tough walk up and down the hills, so bring your walking shoes. It's a quick uber ride into downtown, which was nice. Nice quiet neighborhood. There is parking, but we didn't have a car. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated our time there and would recommend.

Potrero Hills is truly Paradise

Fran's home could not have been any been. The house itself was perfect...a home equipped with "smart" tech but still feels like a comfy home. The neighborhood was amazing. We went to Plow for breakfast 3 times...it was that good. The views from the beautifully landscaped yard were also stunning. Getting into downtown was a breeze as well as the airport. Would recommend to anyone!

Fresh, clean, well decorated.

This home is in a hilly, very quiet neighborhood with plenty of on street parking available. There is a delightful park and community garden to walk to at the top of the next street over. If you are a goat, you can easily walk down to several corner stores, a Whole Foods Market and a section of 18th street, in your own quiet, safe Potrero Hill neighborhood, where there are numerous restaurants. In about a 6 minute drive, you can be in the Mission, more of a city than a residential area, for some great shopping and restaurants or, going in a different direction, be in the downtown area, on Market and close to the gorgeous San Fran City Hall. You will be sure to enjoy your Potrero Hill Neighborhood oasis !

The best stay we've ever had in San Francisco

I can say without hesitation that this is the best place to stay in San Francisco. We went with our family of five, three boys and my wife. When we arrived into Potrero Paradise it was immaculately cared for and decorated. It truly is a home away from home. My suggestion is that you take the opportunity to read her description and her recommendations and you will not be disappointed. This is your home, look no furhter. Thank you again to Fran for your home and hospitality. Ernie

Wonderful home!

This is the second time I've secured a lodging experience in this manner and I can say it's a little awkward in the beginning making sure you find a place that will meet the needs of your stay but also represent the pictures you are seeing online. If anything, I'd say the pictures don't do justice to the beauty of this home. Everything met our needs and more. If you're looking for a place to party this is not the place and anyone who stays here should take care of this home. The back area was perfect for lounging and the hot tub was easily accessible. The rooms all had comfortable beds and with 3 full bathrooms, it makes for easy prep times to get ready to go out. This is a home that you respect because of its warmth with beautiful artwork and worldly artifacts. Easy to get around and the home owner had plenty of information setup to make the stay as easy as possible. There are a lot of asks and rules but wouldn't you if you had a home like this? The views are wonderful and the neighborhood is quiet which is nice to back to after a night on the town. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place to stay in the city is a group of people. Fran was accommodating and let us drop our stuff off a little early before check-in and never had any issues with communication. She even left a wine magazine because she knew we were going to Napa for the day. It really is a little paradise in SF!

Potrero Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to San Francisco and staying at Fran's house was perfect for our family of five. It was set up wonderfully with several outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the city. The hot tub was amazing! The neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet with several restaurants within walking distance. Whole Foods is nearby as well. I would highly recommend Fran's house to anyone wanting a lovely, comfortable place to stay while in San Francisco. She was very easy to work with from beginning to end.

Wonderful holiday

Our first time in San Francisco and we loved it (OK my wife wasn't keen on the hills). The house was far enough from the main city to be peaceful, but close enough (on public transport) to make sightseeing easy.

Beautifully decorated, luxurious and extremely comfy home!!

My now husband and I rented this beautiful home for our elopement in San Francisco (beautiful San Francisco City Hall). Everything was perfect, we loved the detail and the owners taste in decorating. We felt as if we were in our own home. from the gardens and paintings not to mention the hot tub view and views from bedrooms were splendid. We would definitely recommend this home and would rent it again in a heartbeat. We rented a car fora few days, used Uber another couple of days and took advantage of having so much close by that we spent another 2 days walking, it was simply amazing!!! Thank you so much Fran!!

SF trip

We had a wonderful time in San Francisco with the house as our home base. Public transportation was just a block away and a direct line to fisherman's wharf and the cable cars. Plenty of street parking and so quiet at night. Also great to have a dip in the hot tub after a long day of sightseeing. Fran has the house stocked with everything you could possibly need. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous Views, Quiet Neighborhood, Perfect San Fran Retreat!

Beautifully furnished home with spectacular views of the city. Very comfortable for us and teen sons. Appreciated use of kitchen, hot tub and other amenities. Walking distance to grocery and restaurants, but not to attractions. (We used Uber and never waited more than 4 mins for a car, so transportation was easy. Plenty of parking if you have a car.) Very quiet at night! Also appreciated the owner's house information and sightseeing guide. Lots of helpful information and answers to all of our questions. We would definitely stay at this house again - highly recommend!

Winter Vacation

We had an amazing time staying in this house for our winter break and New Year's Eve/day. Myself, my husband and our children, ages 4 and 6, along with my brother and his fiancé stayed there and there was tons of room! The sweeping view of the city from the front and back of the house, the hot tub in the back, the amazing decor throughout the house all added to the charm of the city. The house was just a couple minutes to everywhere we wanted to be in the city, but had the bonus of being in a very quiet neighborhood. We highly recommend staying here!

Potrero

Recently having returned from renting this beautiful property in Potrero Hill. What an amazing house we were not disappointed one bit. Total luxury. We travelled with 2 other couples and all six enjoyed it. The views from the "hot tub" deck were amazing. Everything in the house was to a very high standard and having travelled from the UK the owner kindly allowed us use of her larder if we had required it for the first night. Fran (owner) was particularly helpful both before and during our stay giving us lots of local info, maps, cab firms etc. Everything you would need and more was in the house. The area was very quiet which after a long day sightseeing was an added bonus. Although on a typical San Fran hill the shop at the bottom "Whole Food Store" was worth the climb back up. The small convenience store on Rhode Island Street about one block up was very handy for milk, cheese, wine etc and the owners were particularly pleasant. The Plow on 18th St for brunch was also worth a visit. All in all our 2 week stay was amazing. If we had one criticism it would be after 2 weeks the No 19 bus did become a bit tiresome. We did not rent a car during our stay as we had so much to see in the City itself and the house is not within walking distance of most attractions. With a car this would have made our stay 110%. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending the house. Having stayed in a numerous 5 star hotels and houses in the UK the house was certainly up there with the best.

Absolutely Fabulous!

This house couldn't have been better! Gorgeous, stylish interior, huge kitchen, windows and views of the entire bay area from every floor. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. Fran is easy to work with, understanding and very professional. She has excellent taste in everything, we loved how stocked her kitchen was- everything we could have possibly needed. The hot tub was luxurious and hot, again-views, views, views! Though I'm not a city person, I would rent this house again in a heart beat. Do it, love it.

Excellent vacation home

This home has excellent views, decor, gardens, location, parking, and amenities. Our multi-generational group of 7 especially enjoyed meals together inside and out, the jacuzzi, the Potrero Hill neighborhood, the lovely and comfortable living room surrounded by three sides of view windows, and a wonderful owner. We look forward to a return visit.

Amazing vacation home!

We stayed in this spectacular home over our spring break! It was truly a "home away from home". This home was suitable for our family of six. The views were gorgeous morning and night. Parking was easily accessible on the street. And the hot tub brought fun for the kids and relaxation for my husband and I every night. Location was perfect for our family and if we are ever in the SF area again, this house would be our first choice.

Best possible location in San Francisco!

Potrero Hill is the perfect place to stay in San Francisco. Wonderful views, walking distance to everything you need, with small parks nearby. The property is exactly as described, and Fran was perfectly accommodating. This place is worth every penny.

About the host

I returned to the Potrero Hill area of San Francisco after living in the East Bay for nearly 20 years. I've always loved this part of San Francisco and so pleased to own this Mediterranean home. I left Santa Fe NM (where I have another rental property) to attend Stanford University and have lived in the Bay Area since.

I rent my home when I travel on business or vacation or visit my other home in Santa Fe.
