This house had comfortable beds, a great stocked kitchen. The huge deck and boardwalk and beach are the best part. The houses on either side are far away. There are sunsets over the water because the shape of how coast juts out. The beach wasn't ever crowded. There were people fishing around sunrise and sunset that I saw catching fish. It's a 10 min drive to Port St. Joe restautrants & shops. The beach has shallow water(up to 4ft) for over 100 ft out, then drops to about 10 to12 ft deep max., for 50ft, then a wide 3-4 ft. sandbar. No huge waves, calm waters most of the time. We had rental kayaks delivered to the house and crossed the the 1.8 mile end of the bay(45 min's 1 way) to the deserted beaches on the tip of the peninsula of the State Park that you can't get to by car. We and explored there and saw many fish, a couple rays, and many blue crab while snorkeling and collecting shells. They call it 'Old Florida', a quieter area without the tourist traps. I'd recommend this house to anyone. We had a great time.
